Corn and blueberry muffin -- corn muffin had little corn taste. Tasted more like a vanilla pound cake. Fluffier than the blueberry muffin

Everything I've gotten here I've been disappointed with. I tried the Avocado Toast, and I didn't find it worth the price. The toast was stale and not toasted. This is a comfortable diner, and the service is great -- the wait staff is efficient and amiable -- but I just think their food is overpriced for the quality and how it's prepared.

Nice little diner at a walking distance from our place and we could get a seat within 5 mins on a Saturday afternoon for 3 of us. Service is typical diner style, quick and effective and our order included a Bloody Mary and a Mimosa, both pretty decent. I got the Veggie Deluxe Burger ($15) and the first few bites felt really decent, but then the burger patties felt really dry. Food overall felt pretty substandard, including the pancakes we ordered for our little one. Service was quick though and noise levels were on the average end. Comfortable booth seating, and fairly huge portions. Might visit again!

This has become our new spot when we are on the west side! We came upon this place by accident while on Broadway today. Because it was lunch, I didn't want anything too greasy so I went with the Mexican fiesta salad. I didn't know the dressing; ancho chilli ranch dressing. I asked if it was spicy and he brought me a sample. It was delicious. The salad was a good size; I was even able to save some for dinner. My boss had the tuna on the pita and she said it was fresh. I will definitely be trying their other salads the next time we go there. It was pretty packed too so you know the food is good!

I decided to come here for brunch after doing a Yelp search for diners near by. This was your typical diner where you could either sit at the counter or at tables. I ordered a scrambled egg with veggies, cheese, hashbrown, and a blueberry muffin, coffee. Service was super fast, but as soon as they dropped food off they really didn't come back to check on you if everything was ok and to your liking. Therefore, I just had to wave down anybody walking by if I needed anything. I felt sort of abandoned because I really did not know who my waiter was. Very rushed. The food was pretty good, decent. Maybe I would go back for a sandwich and salad. But not the scrambled eggs.

My go to diner in the UWS. The portions are big, and there's usually seating at a booth. The food is what you would expect from a diner. This time I got the city burger deluxe. The burger is juicy, the grilled onions are delicious, and I love the sauce that comes with the burger. The fries are very crispy as well. Whenever I'm craving a classic diner burger I love coming here. The service is great. Everyone is friendly and I never have issues with the order and everything comes out quickly. Everything here has a very classic diner vibe which I love. I been to quite a few diner in the UWS and i can definitely say this is my favorite.

Our wait was at least an hour and a half and were texted when our table was ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating with one bathroom for all to use. We got the viral pancakes and they were everything you'd dream they be and then some for sure very filling and buttery. I got a "pick me up" and it was perfect gave me a beautiful caffeine kick to start the day I recommend for sure. Weather you come for the viral moment this feels like a solid staple in the community with bright music playing everyone kind of everywhere and just a relaxed feel that you can't wait to enjoy after you get seated. Bathroom rating 5/5 very clean for how busy the place is :)

It didn't open until 9am, but by the time we came around at 830am..the line was ALREADY poppin' lol. I was like okay...maybe it is really good. We got lucky as we were able to be seated in the first rounds of the tables that they had outside. We ordered the pancakes, wings and thai tea dessert. UNFORTUNATELY, for me, this place is OVERHYPED. Sure, the pancakes were soft and soaked with honey butter...but its really NOT THAT GOOD. I would never wait in line for this place. The wings were just meh...not really crispy, wasn't great as other korean wings I've had. The dessert was recommended and it was my least liked item ordered lol. All three items for a whooping $70. NO THANKS

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

I was impressed by the chunks of pastrami throughout. Very hearty and very delicious! My husband indulged in the Nova Benedict. They packed on the lox. He didn't even finish but found it amazingly delicious. Service was okay. Nothing too spectacular. I almost felt an inconvenience to the server but we didn't have a fussy order nor was it busy (we ordered before the rush). Maybe she was preparing for the rush. Lol either way, it wouldn't stop me from returning.

We were looking…read morefor a breakfast place in Times Square and since none of us had ever gone here, we decided to see why it's so popular. A short line early Sunday and we were seated right away. The vibe is fun and festive with confetti, colorful decor, and the old school diner seating. There are two floors of seating and a restroom upstairs. The staff sings a variety of songs and are so talented. Enjoy a show while you eat and if you're lucky you'll get showered with confetti. Most servers hope to make it to Broadway and work here as they pursue their dreams. Cool concept and fun environment. The food was mediocre, but you go more for the experience. I got the cinamon bun pancakes. Three thick sweet pancakes come with packaged sytrup and butter on the side. This was about $18. A friend got eggs and another got the breakfast burrito. Both were just okay. Nothing really vegan for breakfast other than a non-dairy yogurt parfait. They don't serve lunch until after 11am so we could only order breakfast. Our server told us the confetti was vegan. Haha What a sense of humor! The 'show director' then comes around with a bucket for donations towards servers who take acting, dance, and music classes. They take cash or electronic forms of donation. While optional it felt a little pressure driven as the person comes to each table with the bucket to donate. Maybe mentioning it and placing the bucket somewhere for anyone who would like to donate would be easier or include a QR code somewhere for folks to scan. Worth a visit once, mainly for the experience - not the food. It's an all American style diner so don't expect to find too many options if you have diet restrictions. A number of tv shows/films have been shot here and the restaurant has been around for a long time. Check it off your bucketlist.

It's a perfect volume to enjoy the show, still be able to talk to your waiter and your friends, and still hear your own consciousness.
