The get the job done. I am glad there's diner that still exists among all the bells & whistles restaurants. It has become my partner and I staple after a late night. Their quesadilla are very good, tad oily but hits the spot. Will continue being a staple and they charge you an arm and a leg. They have you in and out too.

I came here with my friend for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The diner was busy, but we didn't have to wait for seats. I had the grilled salmon wrap, which was a little lack-luster. There wasn't that much salmon inside and it wasn't flavorful. The fries and coleslaw were alright. On the bright side, the service was great! Our waitress was very attentive and nice.

Corn and blueberry muffin -- corn muffin had little corn taste. Tasted more like a vanilla pound cake. Fluffier than the blueberry muffin

Everything I've gotten here I've been disappointed with. I tried the Avocado Toast, and I didn't find it worth the price. The toast was stale and not toasted. This is a comfortable diner, and the service is great -- the wait staff is efficient and amiable -- but I just think their food is overpriced for the quality and how it's prepared.

Nice little diner at a walking distance from our place and we could get a seat within 5 mins on a Saturday afternoon for 3 of us. Service is typical diner style, quick and effective and our order included a Bloody Mary and a Mimosa, both pretty decent. I got the Veggie Deluxe Burger ($15) and the first few bites felt really decent, but then the burger patties felt really dry. Food overall felt pretty substandard, including the pancakes we ordered for our little one. Service was quick though and noise levels were on the average end. Comfortable booth seating, and fairly huge portions. Might visit again!

This has become our new spot when we are on the west side! We came upon this place by accident while on Broadway today. Because it was lunch, I didn't want anything too greasy so I went with the Mexican fiesta salad. I didn't know the dressing; ancho chilli ranch dressing. I asked if it was spicy and he brought me a sample. It was delicious. The salad was a good size; I was even able to save some for dinner. My boss had the tuna on the pita and she said it was fresh. I will definitely be trying their other salads the next time we go there. It was pretty packed too so you know the food is good!

I decided to come here for brunch after doing a Yelp search for diners near by. This was your typical diner where you could either sit at the counter or at tables. I ordered a scrambled egg with veggies, cheese, hashbrown, and a blueberry muffin, coffee. Service was super fast, but as soon as they dropped food off they really didn't come back to check on you if everything was ok and to your liking. Therefore, I just had to wave down anybody walking by if I needed anything. I felt sort of abandoned because I really did not know who my waiter was. Very rushed. The food was pretty good, decent. Maybe I would go back for a sandwich and salad. But not the scrambled eggs.

My go to diner in the UWS. The portions are big, and there's usually seating at a booth. The food is what you would expect from a diner. This time I got the city burger deluxe. The burger is juicy, the grilled onions are delicious, and I love the sauce that comes with the burger. The fries are very crispy as well. Whenever I'm craving a classic diner burger I love coming here. The service is great. Everyone is friendly and I never have issues with the order and everything comes out quickly. Everything here has a very classic diner vibe which I love. I been to quite a few diner in the UWS and i can definitely say this is my favorite.

I ordered the Kale Chicken Caesar Salad, which comes with grilled chicken, kale, Caesar dressing, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and a huge piece of buttered bread. I also added grilled steak cooked medium because apparently one protein wasn't enough for me. Both the chicken and steak were flavorful, and the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The salad was filling enough to feel like an actual meal rather than just something light. I also ordered the Strawberry Margarita, which was only $10 thanks to their all day, everyday margarita special. And listen, they are NOT playing with that margarita. It was strong but still tasted really good, which is exactly the balance I want from a cocktail. I ate alone and really liked the seating setup. I had a cute little booth that felt perfect for a solo diner, but it would work just as well for two people. The restaurant also has plenty of seating for larger groups, so it seems like an easy choice whether you're eating alone or coming with friends or family. The servers were attentive to me and assisted me quickly. They also checked in on me multiple times. The interior was another highlight. There's a beautiful wall covered with different pieces of artwork that adds a lot of character to the restaurant and makes the space feel much more visually interesting than your typical diner. Overall, this was a great quick meal while I was out running errands. Good food, a surprisingly strong $10 margarita, and a comfortable atmosphere for dining solo. I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

Aside from that, we had a fantastic experience here at Friedmans Herald Square near Penn Station. The atmosphere is super sweet and cozy. The restaurant was empty when we first walked in, but the second we sat down, it completely packed up! The waiter was very friendly, and even though they weren't able to split the check at the table, they did provide an itemized receipt to make figuring it out easy. The food was great overall--the Mac & Cheese bites and the corn were especially good! We also tried the cheesecake and molten cake. Plus, the neighbors sitting next to us were so sweet. The food here is expensive and overpriced for diner food, but you're in Times Square and this is a known tourist trap, so if you go in with the right expectations, you'll have a good time. Fast forward to 2026 (where I'm finally not broke as hell), the day has finally come, and I am ecstatic about stepping foot into this diner that surprisingly is still standing in 2026. The inside certainly feels like a diner, but not quite the old-school dinginess that I'm used to--it's clean. Given that it was Sunday at noon, it was very crowded in there and mainly flooded with tourist groups, but a table opened up for us pretty quickly. For a NYC diner, the menu is certainly small - this is probably done to keep tables moving faster. I got the Pastrami Hash & Eggs and it was just overdone and super oily and dry--almost as if they just refried everything except the sunnyside egg. Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed, given that I had waited for so long to come here, only to get food that was an attempt to give the staleness another chance by refrying and reheating. I actually beat myself up a little the rest of the day for finishing the whole thing, knowing that the oversaltiness was flirting with opening up some high blood pressure. It was also not moderately priced by any means (was close to $30), but I know I'm helping pay for that Midtown and proximity to Central Park pricing. Not sure if I'll return, which saddens me, but also knowing that they're part of a conglomerate at Fireman Group (and still run independently in a sense) makes total sense
