We are fan favs of Bareburger (old school east village style) so it saddens me to no end that the STAMFORD Bareburger produced this.... I'm used to mouthwatering huge burgers from there. I Came here with friends to enjoy burgers, drinks and socialize. It was perfect for our plan. first thing I can recall is the great customer service we received from our waitress Jada. She was supper sweet attentive and patient for a party of 6. She pulled up a chair and took orders, answered questions, and laughed with us adding to her unremarkable service. One of my friends drinks was super bland and she very nicely swapped it for a Bloody Mary which was actually delicious. The food was great. I had the sesame ginger beef wrapped in collard green, with a side of sweet potato fries. It was great combo. Everyone seemed very happy about their meals and we were super thrilled about the great vibes from Jada our Waitress! The place wasn't too busy on a Saturday probably due to the rain storm that took place earlier in the day. I would definitely recommend this place for their burgers and hospitality. read more

This place has always been expensive, but it seems like they're too happy to ride the inflation wave. Two turkey burgers and an order of fries each [one was sweet potato fries] with two ice teas, and 20% tip, was a $67 lunch. I get supply chain issues have driven some prices up, but this harbor point location charging full price $4 refill, and $1.30 for two little containers of aioli for the fries took the wind out of my sails. read more

Great if you go there and eat there! ...but if you do take out... Check what's inside the bag of your order before leaving. Like one reviewer said "They always forget something" I went to pick up my order and when I got home; they missed one side order. Also, I specifically told the person who took my order that I didn't want blue cheese on my burger and she told me that I could choose a different one so I did. Well, the burger came with blue cheese on... The restaurant wasn't even busy at the time I picked my order... Ok im here to be honest, I've ordered a few times and those times minus they forgot our discount for living at harbor point, have been good. However, I ordered an American burger today, I took off ketchup Bc I'm a mustard kind of gal. apparently since I took off the ketchup they doubled the mustard. The burger was soggy Bc of this. Secondly, I ordered a side of fries 3.95$ well apparently 3.95 gets you about 10 fries. I mean I'm bi coastal living in Santa Monica and I get more fries than that at a 5 star restaurant. I went to pick up my to-go order and couldn't wait to get home and leave this review. The guy behind the counter was just the most rude and arrogant person I've ever encountered there. He made it seem like I was inconveniencing him with my presence. First he brought out the wrong order, I even tried to break the ice by joking and telling him mistakes happen and it was alright. He just stared at me and walked away. Then he returns with the right order, I already have my card in hand, and he puts it on the counter and walks away. I was excited to have a burger place in walking distance when I moved to harbor point. If someone could train their chef better I'd go all the time. Love burgers. Just not these ones. Service was excellent 1 of the 4 times though. The other 3 took about 30 mins just for someone to come over when there were like 5 people in the whole place. I had to wait to ask if we pour our own drinks when no one from their staff could be found for 45 mins during dinner time. Get it together guys. Everyone loves a good burger and be attentive. It is possible that covid and contamination are not much of a concern to this location since food is not fully wrapped and since the delivery bag was not secured. Called and barely got an apology. Tonight we ordered chocolate milkshakes and french fries and as in the past... disappointed. The milkshakes were essentially water with a tiny bit of chocolate syrup, we could have made chocolate milk better at home. Then to top it off, the fries were cold. I came here on a Sunday night where it was pretty quiet and empty. Never had been to bare burger before. We ordered two of the Duke burgers and fries with onion rings + two sauces. Also had a milkshake. We ordered the burgers medium. The burger was very good. Really good meat and juicy. Mine was juicer than my partners. The meat seemed very fresh and it was just overall super good. The milkshake was also very good. We ordered a one person fries and onion rings and I thought it was more than enough! The garlic aioli was delicious. I couldn't stop dipping in it. Overall I was satisfied and will definitely come back. The waitress was also super attentive. Ordered a burger for pick up - ETA 15 minutes. I came to the restaurant 20 minutes later and was made aware it was going to be "five minutes." 15 minutes later, I asked the hostess if she can check on my order. She goes to the back to check the kitchen, comes out and ignores to inform me what the status was. A few minutes later, she informs me its going to be another 5 minutes - I told her that I was informed that the ETA was 15 minutes and it's been at least 40 minutes since my order. She said that she was going to talk to the manager. A few minutes later, I saw the look of shock in everyone's eyes when they realized that the order must have not gotten to the back and the manager frantically moves to the kitchen. July 3, 2017 - OUCH OUCH OUCH - WOW!!!!! what a difference a month or 2 makes! I will NEVER eat at the Stamford Bare Burger again - maybe just takeout for the shakes! My son's chicken sandwich was charred on the outside and pink on the inside - and the waitstaff tried to rationalize and explain that the way they cook it - it SHOULD be pink and it is ok. WHAT????????? WHAT?????? Chicken ok to be pink and grey? The meat was visibly rotten. I also had a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and it was white and juicy inside. I have younger kids. I brought the youngest to the bathroom and my older one waited outside the bathroom for us. THEY THREW AWAY OUR FOOD!!!! THEY THREW AWAY OUR FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about a big strike 2! Then my son's replacement meal was BURNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really badly. Strike 3 - and because we had to wait for them to re-cook our food - we didn't have time to go to the aquarium like we had planned. They did reduce the bill to 16.59 or so...but WTF? Don't eat here....it's just terrible. McDonald's on exit 6 or in Norwalk is better than Bare Burger Stamford. I hope they close and a good restaurant opens in this great location. This place is so so good mainly because of their inventive menu and high quality of ingredients. You can truly taste the difference as they use extremely fresh veggies, cheeses, and meat. The happy hour specials are excellent and the service is usually great too. The impossible burger plus interesting toppings and sauces create a whole lot of flavor yet are priced very high but accordingly for the area. The vegan ice cream sundae is fantastic!! read more

My friends and I went during lunch time. We were the only three patrons inside the restaurant (besides a guy at the bar) the entire time. There were guests outside but it wasn't busy. One friend asked for lemon for her water. Never received it. When we "finally" received our order, I was given the wrong salad and the waitress was almost disagreeing with me that it was indeed my salad. I had to get the menu to prove to her. Two of us received our meal while the other friend didn't get her "sandwich" until at least 20 minutes after us. The waitress never asked if se needed anything else and when my friend finally received her sandwich, the waitress never apologized for the delay. The service was AWFUL and the food was mediocre. I've been to Bareburger numerous times and have always received good food and service at this harbor point location. The concept of using organic, all natural, fresh meats and ingredients is what makes the burgers so fantastic. In addition to burgers they have fries and onion rings which are tasty as well. I have yet to try the shakes which I have heard is yummy. Bareburger has super friendly and helpful service and really quick food - and most importantly it's super delicious. The first time I tried BareBurger in Harstdale, I was in love so when I found out Stamford had a location, I had to try it out. I must say that the ambience and the outdoor seating at the Stamford Location is a plus. The staff is great and knowledgeable with the food selections. The first time I went to this location, I had the veggie burger or rather say the collard green wrap. I was kind of disappointed with it as a vegetarian option. Had it been like a true burger style with a bun and collar greens inside, I would've liked it more. The Wiki Wiki burger is one of my favorites on the menu. The crispy green onions and the sweet pickle with the duck bacon all meshed so well with the burger. Very tasty and is quite amazing! My boyfriend loves the Supreme. For me, the portion size is great. I think the burgers can be a little bigger for the price though. Speaking of price, it could be a little expensive. Two burgers, an appetizer and two beers came up to $70.00. The collard green wrap and the price is why I give it three stars. Don't get me wrong! I'll definitely come back but I just have to save a little because I consider this burger joint more of a splurge. Cheers! read more

I would love to be able to write something about the quality of the food here but I never got the opportunity to try anything. I went there last night and stood in front of the hosts stand trying to get anyone from their incompetent staff to acknowledge our presence and seat us at any one of the several tables they had available. I've ordered takeout from Bareburger twice, and both time have been pretty disappointed. The first time I ordered takeout I had a turkey burger which arrived dry and not very tasteful. I also ordered Brussels sprouts then which were really salty. Second time around, I ordered their sweet potato fries and a chocolate milkshake. After highly anticipating the arrival of my chocolate milkshake, my cravings were severely under satisfied as it came more as chocolate milk than a milkshake. My colleague also ordered a black and white milkshake which had a watered down consistency as well. I've only had a milkshake from Bareburger one other time and it wasn't that bad. However, I don't think I'll be ordering from them again after two mediocre experiences. Plus for the price, it seems like you're not getting a lot. You can get a thicker, more tasteful milkshake from chick fil a for half the price. And $6 for a small side of fries. I think they're overpriced for not the best food. read more

I had a great experience at Bareburger. Contrary to a lot of the reviews my service was excellent. We didn't realize the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes when we got there. The waitress was patient and gave us some great recommendations. To start we ordered the Guapo Chop salad and the Hudson salad. For our main course we ordered the Farmstead (wrap) and The Standard (burger). We also ordered a side of large fries. I thought the food was delicious. My salad (Hudson) was amazing. Fried egg, avocado, and bacon. What more could you ask for? The Farmstead was a healthy alternative to ordering another burger. Staff is very indifferent an inexperienced. Most seem like they've never worked in a restaurant before. Guys at the bar are more friendly than the rest. Was there a couple weeks ago and a black lady manager was scolding some customers on their way out and being very unprofessional. We were sure to avoid eye contact when we left for fear of being the next target of her wrath. Burgers are OK for the price - but you have a better product down the street at Harlan Social. The bar is a total joke. One brand of each liquor - and crappy brands at that. Wine on tap only. Closes up at 8:00 or something weird on Sundays - so even when the sun is still out they close. I take my parents to Bareburger all the time they love the food and service is always amazing. I live at the Harbor Point and is the best place in our area you can never go wrong with a great burger. The milkshakes are great love sitting at the bar and having one. I had the best experience with one of your employees she totally went out of her way once when I forgot my cell in the restaurant and she walked over to my building in the rain and dropped it off YOU CALL THAT GREAT SERVICE !!!!
