My first ever review of an island coffee shop. Great music, friendly staff, tasty fresh made local foods. The coffee itself did not seem to be a focus.....pump your own...one of the brews was really weak but may have been just a hiccup. They sold me a perfectly ripe mango for less that the street vendors charged for hard ones.....they even cut it up and put it in a bowl for me. read more

As a vegetarian and as someone who avoids gluten, this is my go to restaurant when I visit St. Thomas. I love their soups, salads and desserts. This time I had black bean chili, the Juliet salad and a gluten free banana walnut muffin. My only complaint was that the salad had way too many cranberries. Awesome lunch or snack spot near the cruise ship docks. I tried the Kale smoothie, which was really good although could have been better had they run the blender for another minute (some clumps ice made it tough to drink from the straw). I had their signature breakfast bagel sandwich - a good choice. Some combination of turkey, bacon, cream cheese and an aioli sauce made this worth the visit. As is the case with most spots in the USVI...they operate on "island time" so service can be a bit slow at times. read more

My girlfriend and I came here for brunch, and we were very pleased that we did. The person taking our order was helpful and guided us around their menu. She quickly noted that I had ordered the wrong item on the menu based on what I was looking for. She also noted that we were vegetarians. We had bagel sandwiches that we modified without meat and sub'd avocado, and they were delicious and filling. We also got the parfait and some iced mochas, and we were very satisfied. The prices were a little on the high side, however this was not to be unexpected based on island prices. I highly recommend this place. read more

4 stars are for the fresh, tasty food. The staff/cashier rates 1 star -- although they did mention that they were closing the next week for hurricane season, so maybe.....the cashier was just burned out from the "season". Even with the inattentative staff, we returned again, because the food and juices were healthy alternatives to the typical food available. read more

Its hard to find a killer coffee shop in the USVI sometimes. Especially if you don't want super touristy. I came here twice for breakfast and their coffee and smoothies are amazing. i also ordered their bagel/croissant breakfast sandwich which was just perfect amount for breakfast. read more

Gluten free chocolate coconut brownies are on point! I bought 2 for the trip home. The Juliet salad and turkey artichoke were good too.

LOVED this place! Had one of the most delicious cups of tea and a hefty slice of banana bread here. And I did some major damage in their boutique. Many of my gifts for family and friends came from here and I bought myself a stunning sterling silver elephant ring and a necklace that I have worn everyday since. The prices are great. I had a peanut butter and chocolate smoothie with an oatmeal cookie. Both were delicious. I wish the smoothi was a bit bigger but over all it was good. My wife had a bagel sandwich which I was happy to finish for her. It was very tasty. I would recommend this place. read more

We were a party of three greeted warmly by the hostess. We ordered a Bigfoot Bagel Sandwich, a Breakfast Bagel Sandwich and a Bialys Frittata Sandwich. We wanted a light and tasty Breakfast and that us what we got. There is a good selection of food and beverages. Next time we are on the island, we'll be there. Highly recommend this eatery for a nutritious and very tasty meal. read more

A beautiful hippie store/ restaurant. The feel there is welcoming. Food is made fresh when a costumer gets there. Great blend of cheeses and sauces. Only down side is there has been a bit of construction block the front. When construction is gone there is a good view of Havensight mall and the cruise ships. Extra perks of this place is free wifi and cheap P.O. Boxes. read more

I am so disappointed! Last week, I ordered a latte, soup and sandwich over the phone for my husband to pick up. When he arrived, there was a long line of people waiting to order (8-10 people), so my husband went to the register and told the cashier he was there to pick up an order. The order was bagged and waiting in the front. My husband was told that he would have to go to the end of the line and wait. Upset, my husband gave them plenty of argument before he was given my order. The 2nd time, I called and ordered just a latte, and when my husband arrived, the latte was ready and waiting without a top on the cup. When he asked for a top, he was told to go to the condiments bar to get a top. When my husband delivered the latte to me at work, he was upset once more and told me what happened, but other times, the coffee always had the top on.. In addition, the cup was only half full. I called and spoke to Jeremy who first told me that my husband was rude. Jeremy explained that they only have 1 cash register, therefore people who call in their order have to stand in line. Jeremy also did not seem to understand that a sitting cup of hot coffee with no top allows the contents to get cold. He did offer me a free cup of coffee, since I only received half a cup. No worries. We spend our money where we are appreciated. Get it? read more

Barefoot Buddha is such a treasure. So hard to find healthy food on the island! Very friendly staff. It is a must stop on our island visits. I often receive their specials for the week and look forward to trying some when we are there. read more

I went to St. Thomas for vacation earlier this month and went to Barefoot Buddha three times in two days. We stumbled upon it one morning when we were downtown shopping. Extensive coffee and tea drink selection. Some really innovative and fun drinks. I had the chaispresso. The drinks are all one size and for $3 to $4 it is a large drink. The breakfast menu has made to order breakfast sandwiches and there is a self-serve pastry area. I had a mango turnover one day and an apple poundcake the next. All were freshly baked and delicious. We also got take-out lunch the second day. I had the sweet potato wrap and a mango smoothie. The wrap had roasted sweet potatoes, goat cheese, hummus and salad greens. Yum! Their list of daily specials is extensive and had a beet and cheese wrap that sounded intriguing. The only downside is that they don't take credit cards. All in all an awesome place to visit. Much better than expensive tourist trap breakfast and lunch places. read more

This place is amazing. When me family and I were in st. Thomas, we came here for breakfast everyday and lunch half the time. The paninis are to die for, and the smoothies have lots of variety and flavor with real fruit in them. There are only four different kinds of bagels; plain, everything, multigrain, and multigrain raisin, so hopefully when coming here you like one of those kinds. The wait staff are very friendly, introduced themselves, remembered our names, and overall created a wonderful experience. The music there has a lot of variety, and it create a nice atmosphere. The restaurant itself has lots of courches, pillows and cushions, but also nice hairs and outdoor tables too. One thing that I disliked was the paid wifi;$5 a day. This ended up creating a better atmosphere: because the restaurant has a policy of no cellphones and computers inside, it promotes a comfortable, friendly atmosphere, but also the lack of wifi is a nuisance. I recommend this place to anyone down on this side of this island, as it is inexpensive, comfortable, and friendly. read more

Right across the street from the cruise ship dock, but not at all cruiser food or atmosphere. Had an incredible chèvre panini last time I was there for lunch. Found this gem by searching yelp so I wanted to leave a review to pay it forward. Barefoot Buddha is a charming establishment serving up good coffee and many healthy veg alternatives. We tried some of the homemade bread and a breakfast sandwich- both great! Keep in mind that you're on an island, the prices are higher than you'd expect at a typical coffee shop in the states. read more
