Beautiful area located in Crown Bay Marina. Look for the BIG hut style building near the right corner of the parking lot. Such a cute shop with so much to offer from local coffee brews, specially blended drinks to smoothie, fruit sorbets, snacks and creamy ice cream. Unfortunately, they were out of their waffle cones when we came in, so only option was a cup! Just did one scoop of their mint and chip. My husband got a strawberry smoothie. Both were delightful and so refreshing especially on a hot humid day on the island. Suggest staying on the property to enjoy your sweet treat and take in everything around you. This is the only cafe right at the Crown Bay Marina, so it's your best bet if you're waiting for a ferry and need a quick bite and a drink. They do serve the traditional Painkiller cocktail, but you'll find better elsewhere during your trip. Beer is in a cooler and they don't always have everything stocked. A small refrigerator has pre-made sandwich options. No bathrooms or seats with air conditioning, but a few outdoor tables with limited shade. read more

The ladies that run this little cafe spot are so kind and are a delight to talk to. This is one of the few spots that opens early, so if you've gotta run to the airport or catch the first ferry to water island, this is the perfect spot. They have cold local beers, iced coffees, and quick little sandwiches. I especially became fond of the stewed cherries that are sometimes handed out here, (must try for tourists!). The view of the marina just outside is beautiful in the morning and the parking here is free. read more

It's perfect for enjoying an affogato with a vegan twist while feeling the ocean breeze. We were in the mood for ice cream when we came upon this place in the marina. The flavor was there but the ice cream was a bit icey. I mean there aren't too many things that can make your ice cream experience go sideways, but being icey is one of them. So there you go... This little stand at the water's edge in Crown Bay Marina is a great spot to catch a cup of coffee or an ice cream while you're waiting on the ferry to STJ or Water Island, or just picking up your mail. The service is usually friendly and prompt and the atmosphere is relaxed. Seating is limited, but it's pleasant and shaded n the outdoors. The coffee is good (strong and robust) and the ice cream is delicious. The prices are definitely steep, which is why I can't give them a full five-star rating. Keep in mind the island is expensive and I can't imagine rent for this business is cheap, so I'm not angry...come get a good cup of coffee, you won't regret! read more

Wow I can't believe this ice cream shack is still here and relatively undamaged after 2 cat 5 hurricanes! I totally expected this to be gone ( the big building next to it is)but fortunately for us it's still going with the same full menu as before the storm. Scoops & Brew serves up THE best chai lattes on island. Iced or cold it's delicious either way. The cashiers are also very quick and pleasant to interact with. My favorite gelato flavors here are triple dark chocolate, creme de menthe and coconut roasted almond fudge. If you want something on the lighter side their tropical fruit (passion fruit, pineapple, mango)sorbets are a refreshing way to cool down on a hot St. Thomas day. My only complaint is that they charge $2 extra for stale waffle cones ( which my dog doesn't mind because she gets to eat them). Some businesses are trying to do the right thing after the hurricane by purging their bad inventory some are just trying to make quick bucks. But overall we love this coffee and ice cream shop. They have only two seats inside but plenty of out door seating with crown bay center water views and jumbo Lego building blocks for kids to play with. #St.Thomas #USVI read more

Great little coffeeshop at the Crown Bay Marina - worth seeking out. This marina is the private Marina across from the cruise ship terminal - A short and easy walk. We went twice in one day. Once as we walked off our ship for iced lattes and once in the afternoon to use our Yelp Coupon for a free waffle cone. I love seeking out local joints - and this point is local! Very friendly staff. We discovered Scoops and Brew ahead of an early morning boat trip. It's not easy to find a good latte on St. Thomas and I was pleasantly surprised when I took my first sip. Locally roasted and well crafted. When our boat returned in the late afternoon, we were ocean tumbled and slightly sunburned. This place was once again an afternoon refuge. Great gelato was the perfect bookend to our boat tour. They have a wide selection of both classic and interesting flavors. It's a bit off the beaten path, but this place is a hidden gem that's worth finding on your trip to the Island. What a pleasant surprise to have an unexpected and unplanned experience go sooooo right! So after dropping my yorkies off with their groomers i stumbled upon this delicious place. So getting down to the nitty gritty my hubby ordered the latte that was super decadent the froth was more like a unsweetened whipped cream it was so thick and yummy the latte was seriously well made. Now lets get to my good stuff...So i ordered the carrot cake icecream and the salted caramel ice cream. The carrot cake stole the show for me it had shreds of carrots running throught the icecream but oh my god the most delicious cream cheese frosting marbled throughout this scoop. SERIOUSLY A MUST TRY!!!! The salted caramel didnt have a chance next to this carrot cake scoop yet it was also very good. My mother also ordered ice cream she had the coconut which was very creamy and had chunks of coconut in every bite. She wouldnt share lol it was that good according to her!!! read more
