Vegan breakfast that was just vegan to begin with! This was a gem of a place to find. I ate here twice and it was better the second time. I must also say that they remembered my order. It has a zen vibe to it and the service is relaxed. It is not for the hurried. Look at the menu. As good as it was I can't recall the names of the sandwiches.

This cute little Bohemian cafe within walking distance of the cruise ship pier is serving up some delicious healthy foods. We really enjoyed their handcrafted coffee drinks and specialty hibiscus teas. There is both inside and outside dining areas and a nice menu to choose from. We were there at breakfast time and ordered some bagel and muffin sammie's that were unbelievably fresh and filled with yumminess. Even a plain toasted bagel with cheddar and freshly roasted turkey was knock your socks off delicious. I am still craving that simple sandwich, it was that good. The Merv muffin with bacon, egg, swiss cheese, tomato, avocado, spinach, and sprouts was absolutely delicious and the perfect size. The Buddha Club sandwich was fabulous too! You cannot go wrong with this place. You can carry it out or eat it there.

Great food and chai in a laid back environment with really nice people. Just what we needed on our entry into St Thomas. The Danny was fresh and tasty. Win!

One of the worst salad bowls I've ever had, for $17 ! Ordered the Veg Out bowl with sweet potatoes added. And when I opened it later, the bowl didnt have half the ingredients mentioned in the menu. No hummus, no tomatoes, no sprouts and the "mixed greens" was just lettuce. She had told me they were out of roasted beets, so I expected that but she didnt mention that it would just be a bowl full of lettuce and sweet potatoes with some dressing (the dressing was good though). I expected better from the reviews of the place, extremely disappointed.

First stop in St Thomas from the airport. We were those people that got in just prior to closing at 3:00. They were super nice and said no problem. We were definitely happy. The tree of life smoothie was good with a hint of sweetness to balance the spinach. The farmers market panini was outstanding. I did not miss the meat as the flavors melded perfectly together. Nice chill vibe. Considering the food, service and nice folks definitely rates a 5. Thank you

This place is a boutique / coffee shop/ food spot/ smoothie spot. Such a genius idea. Drinks and food is soooo good and the boutique has so many cute clothes and trinkets. Plenty of seating inside and out. Love it! Vegetarian friendly

The Ambiance is chill. My favorite place for breakfast on the island. Truly enjoyed this spot!

Turkey quiche, sweet potato mushroom wrap, and three of their incredible smoothies!

My friends and I were lucky enough to be on a flight with the owner of this amazing little cafe, so naturally we had to stop in and see what it was all about! When you first enter, you walk through an adorable little boutique with various souvenirs and clothes to buy, all at a reasonable price. Then you walk into the main cafe, and the vibes are amazing! There are comfy booths lining all of the windows with throw pillows that just tie the whole place together. The people are kind and even remembered our names when we came in the next day! Now, onto the main event: the food. All of it was wonderful. One of my friends got the turkey quiche and loved it; I got a sweet potato mushroom wrap that was one of their specials of the day and let me tell you: It. Was. Incredible. All of the flavors complimented each other beautifully, and I felt great after eating it! We each got different smoothies, and all of those were great too. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough!

They are constantly coming out with hot and fresh baked pastries to restock the pastry case with, so whenever you come it you will always get a fresh and warm baked good with top notch flavor. I went with the Chai and it was one of the best I have had! I added lavender syrup to it and the flavor was there in the beginning and was really yummy. As for the spinach and feta croissant, it was amazingly buttery and flaky and overall the perfect pastry! The cashier that helped us was very welcoming and kind. The line moved quick and was filled with locals so you know it's a good place to get your start for the day. There is plenty of seating inside to enjoy your food, but also really easy to take in the go. Love me it here and will 100% be coming back

Freshly made with flaky crust, truly delicious. On top of that, the service was efficient, they have a decent amount of seating, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area or just visiting on a cruise ship and you need a snack or pick-me-up!

Three of us were shopping mid-morning and asked each vendor for a good place for breakfast. All recommended a well-known place. Unfortunately, we'd eaten there previously on this trip and wanted something different and better. The nice lady at Xxxxx recommended Calypso. She was sooo excited describing their delicious crepes. Well we found our way to Diamond Dire t and run to Calypso. I had a veggie omelette with whole wheat toast. The veggies were fresh and the omelette quite tasty. My brother (a carnivore) had some scrambled eggs with bacon on the side. When the plate arrived, the aroma of the perfectly cooked bacon brought an approving smile to everyone's face. My nephew had an "Indian" omelette (with ham and veggies). Quite delicious. He also had a freshly made fruit smoothy. I sampled 2 of the coffees, and liked them both. I settled for the strong one with a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream. Scrumptious!! The hostess and the chef were so sweet, attentive and friendly. Made us feel like "regulars". I will definitely be returning to Calypso on my next trip to St. Thomas! "D & M" at Calypso: Thank you for a "delicious and nutritious" breakfast. But more so for a real, personal, warm experience.

You walk through a jewelry store to get to a small restaurant that combines Virgin Islands Ice Cream shop with Calypso Cafe. Most of the seats were taken, and all we saw was a line to place your order at the front. My husband waited in line while I found a table that hadn't been cleaned yet. It was very busy there. He ordered us 2 brownies and 2 bottles of water for $16. The lady at the counter gave herself a tip by taking $3 of the change and giving him back $1. He was going to give her all the change ($4) back, but after that incident he was floored. To add insult to injury, she didn't give us what we paid for. She proceeded to help the next person in line for an ice cream shake order. We waited and waited and no one acknowledged us after trying to flag someone down. We finally got the attention of a different lady who was helping people who were seated in the back. I think her name is Cameron. She didn't fully understand our frustration, and we had to explain that we didn't get the items that we had already paid for. She made it all right, and even offered to warm up the brownies. We just didn't feel like waiting longer for it. I'm giving benefit of the doubt here since maybe we just didn't understand the ordering system. Maybe there's a service charge that we didn't know about. How could we? We didn't even get a receipt. Perhaps there's another line for Calypso Cafe? I don't know. Honestly, the lady at the counter should have informed Cameron before proceeding on to the next customer. It only takes 2 seconds. I mean, really! Will we go back? Absolutely not! We'll go somewhere else the next time we're in Charlotte Amalie. It wasn't worth the long wait for 2 bakery items and water.
