Negative 1 Star .. went for the first time on Sunday 8/2/20 the staff was sketchy AF ... from the beginning the van ride up was horrible .. jumped on the freeway going 120 ... got off was told to get out and wait for instructions. The lady giving instructions looked like she was hungover and had just did a few hits of meth!!! Very sketchy instructions .. got a tube and our group of 7 was off.. we got separated within the first 5 minutes ... long story short it was scary AF flipped over got sucked under and my leg got caught between 2 rocks meanwhile the current was taking me and crushed my whole ankle!!!this $25 dollar trip turned into several thousand ... had to be rescued out by firefighters sheriff and EMT!!!was in surgery 2hours later .... please please take this serious ... DO NOT take your kids family friends here it's very very dangerous !!!

    This was fun.

This place is so much FUN and more than worth the money. $25.00 a person for about 1 1/2 to 2hrs to ride down the river on a raft. If u r scared do not do it bc once u get in u cannot get out. Chris the guy that took us down to the river was the best he told us everything to do and not to do. Listen to him he knows for sure. I would go back again for sure. We booked on line on Monday to plan out our week. The plan was to go on Wednesday but the weather here was a little gloomy so I called them to see if we could move to another day. They moved us to another day of our choice. One the day we had planned we arrived about an HR or more earlier to see if we could go down on the river sooner and they took us down. No waiting, these people r so easy to work with and the nicest ever.

So this place isn't a come relax along the spring and have a few beers. It's a rapid one feeling where u gotta put some work into it. You should must be shoes that u can wear in water. Also don't sit so deep with your butt in the tub as there's rocks along the way where u can hurt yourself. Sit up a little and you will likely not tip or get stuck any one area. I can tell u, I had a bag full of goodies tied to my tube but got caught between branches and a rock and will all my mighty strength could not get it unhooked and took superman strength to unhook the bag from my tube thus the water is powerful respect it. There is places of calm and relaxation and parts where u can stop off n take a breather but most part it's using a lot of hands and look out where u are going! It's a fun adventure I dig it! Beautiful scenery!

We did meet someone who was hurt on the side of the river, probably a broken bone(s), so injuries do happen.

Check in was quick and easy, sign a waiver and hop on a bus to take you to the top. Once there you will find the tubes and go down the river which can take 1.5-2 hours. Make sure to grab a paddle which will come in handy with the bushes and trees on the side. It's cold once you get it but it's fun and relaxing on a nice hot day!

I figured it wasn't meant to be. But then we took a drive to Heber, and I saw a big sign for High Country Adventure. Looked up their site, called to see what our options were. No problem! Book on the site! So we did. It was great. Checkin went fine. Getting life jackets went smooth. Loading on the bus and getting up to the drop off point was a breeze. Waited for our raft and guide to hail us, then we loaded up and headed down River. Nice and relaxing ride down. After the fact, I looked up reviews. I can imagine any of the poor reviews happening since all the staff seem young. Luckily for us, everyone was fine the day we went. (I've been to plenty of other places in the area that have terrible customer service from high school/young peeps, lol!) Our guide was fantastic. The rest of our group was with another guide that they raved about. I've floated the River years before when we rented tubes from BYU. It was such a pain to haul them to the river, have two people drive a car down river, and then everyone load up and drive up river. High Country Adventure makes it super easy and convenient to get to and on the River. Glad we found them! We've already recommended them to friends, and will be back!

This was my first season skiing, and my first time here I made the mistake of going up Gadzoom and Little Cloud chairs and got cliffed out in Little Cloud Bowl with all the black diamonds. I wasn't going to call ski patrol to take me down in the basket like my friend did at the top of Gadzoom after having a panic attack, and slowly, tediously made my way down. It was quite the adventure, looking back. I couldn't believe how long it took and how much distance and vertical drop I covered to get to the bottom; the runs here are some of the longest I've been on. One benefit of this resort over Alta is not needing parking reservations during weekends, which saved my ski day one Saturday I tried going to Alta without a parking reservation, then had to come here after talking to the parking attendant there putting $250 tickets on cars without reservations. The skiable area is massive here as well, and there's a whole other skiable side of the mountain (Mineral Basin) with breathtaking views you get to by taking this conveyer belt thing through a secret mining tunnel. The hoards of snowboarders do cause way more lines and congestion here than Alta, and I had to wait in line for a while for the tram on a Saturday. Luckily I soon found the secret tunnel I won't disclose the location of, and was able to ski at Mineral Basin with no lines the rest of that day. There's a lot more moguls and worse snow coverage here than Alta as well, though this year was an extreme outlier and the worst snow year in 4+ decades. It's a shame the Ikon pass only has 7 days to split between here and Alta, as I used up most of my days at Alta and didn't get a chance to explore all the different areas of this vast resort this season.

Snowbird has the greatest skiing on earth. I have been coming back every year since I first came,…read moreand fall in love again every time. Little cottonwood canyon receives (objectively) the highest quality snow in the world (And a lot of it!). Some of the hardest, gnarliest terrain in the world is found across the entire resort. Some of my favorite adolescent memories reside here, and snowbird will always hold a special place in my heart. I could go on and on about the endless pros and minimal cons, but I believe every passionate skier deserves to experience the magic of the Wasatch mountains for themselves... With this being said, snowbird is NOT a family friendly or beginner mountain. There are an extremely low number of beginner/intermediate trails, and even these can get bumped up...
