I was looking forward to boarding my dogs here. I liked that they would have their own room with a couch and TV for a reasonable price and a great new client offer on their website. However when I arrived for my scheduled tour (written down in my planner after calling) the woman told me she didn't have it noted but seemed to remember speaking to me on the phone. She suggested that there was some miscommunication. She had me wait outside to fill out paperwork and said she could do the tour but needed a few minutes to clean up. Within 5 minutes she came out and changed her mind. She said I would need to come back another day (meaning the place is not presentable for me to see). I took my paperwork and left. Also the smell of urine was really terrible. And I didn't even go inside. To me these are just not good signs. read more

We have been using Bark Boulevard for over 5 years now. It is like leaving our dog with family. Coral and her son are so sweet with our nervous dog and extremely diligent about taking care of the animals in their charge. We once got a phone call from Coral that she had noticed that our dog had pink urine when she was outside and asked if we would like her to take our dog to a vet. She brought her to our preferred vet and administered her medicine and monitored her extra closely during the rest of her stay. Our dog runs toward Coral and her son like she runs towards us when we come home. She loves it here and we won't board her anywhere else. They are amazing! Coral and Bill are so kind and responsive and willing to work with you and your dog. I have a large puppy (mastiff lab mix!) and I was struggling with what to do with her a couple days a week and finding Bark Boulevard was the best thing that could've happened! This long overdue. We boarded our two big dogs here for a few weeks while moving. Never having boarded dogs before we were hesitant and concerned they would be unhappy. Boy were we wrong. The first two days they were misbehaved as they got accustomed to their new temporary surroundings. They had both lived in the same place their entire lives. We came by to walk them every day. Always greeted by Bill with potty bags and a smile. On the third day, when we were saddened having to bring them back our concerns were forever nullified. Upon returning the dogs ran into BB happy to be back! When we were first looking for a place my daughter was concerned by a couple of the reviews. Digging a little deeper I found that the few negative reviews there were about this place were posted by whining complainers that for the most part complain about everything. One was one star because she saw dirty dishes in the sink. HF! This is a pet hotel, you think dogs mind? Bill and his mom devote their entire existence to the well being of dogs they become responsible for. The boarding dogs are their priority and it really shows in both by the way they get to know the dogs, and also how the dogs react to them. Boarding your dogs? Need day care for them? I made reservations for a tour and once I got there, Coral said no one wrote down my reservation, but she gave us a tour anyways. The tour LITERALLY took less than one minute, I didn't even get to see the entire boarding place. Even though Coral gave me a iffy vibe I wanted to try out this boarding place to see if I can trust her with my dogs and it's closer to where I live as well. I emailed Coral (she told me to) and it's been three days - she hasn't gotten back to me. To be honest, the way Coral presents herself, she was unorganized and all over the place. We even brought the bark boulevard paper work and she didn't even take it. I had a gut feeling that this place wasn't the best place for me dogs, just the way the owner handles herself gives me a negative vibe. Spacious open outdoor space that offers plenty of room to run and shade for your pooch on those sunny days. There are separate rooms inside and out for the dogs to take rest breaks. Owners (mother/son) are super friendly and nice. My dog gets to have fun 2 days a week here and always comes home exhausted which makes me very happy. I have a very high energy pointer mix with separation anxiety and I see the socializing with other dogs helping her out. When u drop your dog off at front door bring your cell phone as the owners are usually in back with the dogs. Too bad they dont have have some kinda switch that would maybe light the back area to let them know when someone is out front picking/dropping off their dog. I understand why there is not a doorbell as it would just get all the dogs barking. Not sure if its available but a setup to watch your dog on video online would be great. I'd love to see how my dog plays with the other dogs. The Owner has mentioned they are updating so perhaps some changes are coming. Overall great daycare! I feel my dog is safe, secure and well taken care of when I leave her there. Great people who care about dogs! I bought the full day 10day packet at around $187 (about $18 for a 7am-7pm timeframe). I chose Bark Boulevard based on the outstanding yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed! I called to inquire about boarding, and Coral was warm, pleasant, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She also suggested I come by for a tour, which I did. I ended up leaving my two shih tzu's at BB for a 7 night stay, and I was a ball of nerves because I'm a crazy pet mom and this was a new place for them. While I was away, I called a few times to check in, and each time before hanging up, I was told to call at any time if I had any more questions. That really helped put my mind at ease. We needed overnight boarding for our 2 pitbulls at the last minute, and this was our first time ever looking for boarding. I was really nervous and disappointed by the prices elsewhere, as well as the services offered, so it took lots of researching. Seriously, paying extra money for my dog to get human attention or play time? What am I paying you for then?? But Bark Boulevard is a breath of fresh air!! Their facility was clean, they were extremely accommodating, and our dog was quite happy when we went to pick him up. The people that run Bark Boulevard took time to get to know our pup and then introduced her to all the other dogs in the place one at a time as to not agitate her. They have a big area where the dogs can run around and play. I usually feel bad leaving my dog behind when I have to go out of town for extended period of time but at Bark Boulevard I feel completely comfortable. I can rest easy at night knowing my dog is in a place with round the clock care and supervision. The dogs all have a comfy sleeping area and there are always plenty of other dogs there to play with. The staff treats every dog like it was their own and they all have experience with training dogs and dealing with behavioral problems. I came here based on the fantastic reviews and I just HAD TO check out this place for myself and well my other half Toby. I LOVE BARK BOULEVARD and will not go anywhere else! With that said, lets get on with this review! I instantly set up a tour with Coral and the process was pretty quick, I was able to come in on the date and time that worked best with my schedule; very accommodating. At first, I wasn't sure I was at the right place since the name on the building isn't big enough to catch while driving, but when I saw the side yard I knew this was it. Toby and I were greeted with warmth by Coral and Toby was at first nervous/scared since he's rarely around other dogs let alone people, but when he came across this one adorable puggle named Enzo I could see he wanted to play with him. The suites for the dogs were surprising; I couldn't believe each room was equipped with their own tvs and lounging chairs/sofas and although some of the rooms were smaller, they were big enough for Toby. I also came across some dogs who were actually watching movies that were being played on their little tvs; adorable. We then headed on outside to see how much space Toby would have running and playing while I was away, I was also surprised because it was pretty spacious. I knew I had made the right choice on choosing Bark Boulevard as Toby's home away from home. The day I'd dropped Toby off, I could tell he was sad and nervous, but after the first day and getting a picture and update from Coral (which literally had made my day/week) I knew that Toby was happy to be there and had made friends instantly. It's always great to hear that your baby is doing well, the first time he's away from home, and trust me I will be back. This establishment reeks of dog urine from two doors down. The dogs are only let out a couple times per day, for a short time, and have little to no interaction with other dogs. Plane is sketchy, and every time I go to pick up my dogs, they cannot wait to leave. While in the car ride home, they act as if they have been trapped in a crate all day, which I think is the case. This place is inexpensive, but I believe that for a reason. I certainly advise a walk through before bringing your dog, but another sketchy thing, is that they won't do that if you don't have a schedule. This was not a personal attack, the owners are very nice and kind (I thought) It was mentioned that they accommodated me last minute at times, which is true, but I never mentioned that as a complaint. I find it interesting though, that a few things were mentioned that were never discussed with us nor ever came out of my mouth. We were never told that the dogs would be suited better at home. In fact we were reassured time and time again that they had been taken care of, that they are welcome anytime, and that you are very much appreciated our business. As for our dog monkey, we never, ever, ever, ever, suggested that he be in a kennel. Reading this boils my blood knowing that for, sometimes up to two weeks, he was in a kennel. His "distractive behavior"I believe was the first time that he was boarded, he scratched at the walls. Keep in the mind he was a puppy golden retriever. We offered to pay for the damage and you declined, never ever coming to the conclusion that he stay inside a box for the duration of the time he was under your care. Following your words in response to my review, you also mentioned that we had told you that we put him in a kennel at home. We do not own a kennel, we do not own a crate, our dogs are free to go where ever they want inside our house and in our backyard, so I am not sure where you came up with that, you may be confusing us with somebody else. As for Oakley, you are using words that sound like statements that were told to our face which is not the case. You never once said that he was having a hard time adjusting. We were told that he was barking when he was outside alone. We politely told you that when he is alone, Especially without his brother, he gets anxious. He is a Labrador, again, a happy dog and easy to please when given attention. I find it strange that both care takers at bark Boulevard are so argumentative as well as defensive. My experience was my experience and That's what reviews are for. This place is amazing!!! We just dropped off our two dogs Snoopy and Elwood for their second week long stay. The rooms are large with a bed, chair and a TV. I could tell my dogs felt at home when I brought them back a second time and they ran to their room and instantly jumped into the chair. They made fast friends with a rottie on their 1st trip and were excited to she she was there this time as well. Coral and Bill are amazing. Their prices are good when you consider what you get. I cannot say enough good things about Bark Boulevard. We called them in a panic when our pup had emergency surgery and needed constant supervision. We couldn't afford to take the week or more off work to care for her while she had her stitches in - and we were so nervous about keeping her safe. Pup was wearing a protective cone, and we needed someone trusted to keep an eye on her. When I called, Coral was very patient and understanding with my questions over the phone. We went in for an early morning tour of the facility before work, and again she was patient with our questions and very understanding about our concerns. She was able to accommodate our special requests (i.e. the pup's medication schedule, keeping her on a leash for play time while her stitches were in), and even offered us their introductory price, despite our special needs - which was great because we'd just spent a fortune on medical care. The first time we picked pup up from day care, it was obvious that she adored Coral and loved being at Bark Boulevard. Each day that we brought her back during her recovery period, she was excited to get there and happy to see the staff. We are so grateful to Coral and Bark Boulevard for taking care of our baby and making us feel confident that she was being cared for in our absence. Now that pup is recovered, we plan to continue using Bark Boulevard's services when we need a sitter, or just as a treat for the pup (who loves going there). read more

Hooray! I have found my pup's home away from home. After a tour of the facility (indoor/outdoor areas, kitchen area, private rooms for boarding, pet wash) I decided to try out the daycare. I knew it was a match made in heaven when I saw my mini dachshund Lilly licking Bill's face one day.. she usually growls and nips ankles of men she doesn't know but that was not the case! Another day when I dropped her off for daycare she jumped up and down like a pogo stick when she saw Coral. Bark Boulevard is very professional, flexible, and affordable. I work odd hours at a hospital and they accommodate drop off and pick ups that other daycares can't. Lilly has now spent several over night stays and I trust Coral and BIll with her fully. I do not worry that she is being trampled by big dogs or getting lost in the mix. They have several play areas so they can customize activities and separate dogs if needed. Lilly does not like big dogs but she has a couple play areas for her to hang out with smaller dogs in a less stressful setting. They have learned her personality, likes/dislikes. It is a family run business that is a great addition to North Park. Highly recommend! read more

We can't thank Coral and Bill enough for all the love, care, and patience they had for our dog Bandit. We sadly had to leave Bandit behind until he met the quarantine timeline to arrive in Hawaii. If not, we'd have to leave him in a kennel at the quarantine station, with no loving attention - something we didn't want Bandit to go through. So, after researching online, we found Bark Boulevard, the pictures don't do it justice, and when we went to personally see it - our minds were made up RIGHT THEN AND THERE! Each dog has it's own room, tv, lounge chair, and bed. They balance playtime with rest time and there is always someone onsite. They also will work with any special needs your dog might have. And during playtime they pair your dog up with those who mesh well with him. This is also the only boarding place that I know that sends you an email and pictures just to keep you posted on your dog- I won't lie, it had us pressing that refresh button every so often, just to see if there was another update! Their prices are very reasonable too! Both Coral & Bill are sweet and kind people that radiate the passion they have for their business and love they have for dogs! Looking at all of the happy and satisfied customers' reviews, we had to try this place for our dogs when we went on vacation. The price was very reasonable (for 2 dogs) and the facilities were great. The rooms are huge and the backyard is great for our boys to run around when they're let out. While away, Coral had seen a bump that one of the boys had by his tail and was kind enough to care for it until we got home. Knowing that Coral and Bill are there around the clock made us feel so much more at ease. Plus, they let them out to play 7-8 times a day! I love this place, these guys are amazing. They are INCREDIBLY flexible with drop off/pickup hours. On many occasions I have had very early flights that required early drop offs. Its the only place our dogs tolerate, and the amount of time they get outside to play is incredible. My Shi Tzu loves Bark Blvd. Coral and Bill are wonderful and friendly and obviously dog people. They have a young assistant, Jenson, that plays with the dogs and gives them a lot of exercise. He is very affectionate and our old, grumpy dog loves him. We have been using them since the day they opened and will continue to give them 5 stars.
