We were stuck in a bit of a bind with needing a relatively last minute dog boarding due to our typical sitter being unavailable for our very large and very playful dog Moose. Bark Collective was super responsive and their online platform was easy to utilize to send in Vaccine info and request daycare/overnight boarding. I loved that they send photos every day of your dog and I always knew that Moose was in good hands. We needed to extend the overnight boarding due to delays in our travel and all it took was one quick text message. For such an amazing experience, the price is also very practical. I was very impressed with how clean and organized it was. They gave me a tour so I could be comfortable leaving her. We had our first puppy daycare today and everything went great, they even updated with photos midway through her stay. She did well and came home tuckered out! Everything is pretty great but man do they nickel and dime you every chance they get and they're already on the high end for surrounding places. They are militant about pick up. If you're 5 mins late they charge you for a whole day. If you want a bath after a half day they do it during the 4 hours, so you're paying for an hour while paying for the bath. Everything is an add on too- for the bath, for feeding. Etc. The play packages (which are 10 sessions) all have to be used within 30-days, which seems a bit overkill, at least 30 days from when you used it last or 90-days would be nice. There are several rules to try and keep track of, like the pup has to attend the facility every 90 days in order to be eligible to be boarded there, poop report every 6-months when they're tech good for a year. If money is no object, they're great. I wish they had doggie cams so you could see your pup play, but they do send a picture of them playing via text message. It's clean, looks all pretty and posh when you walk in, staff is nice, they do temperate tests for each dog, supervised play. We've used day care and boarding service and our pup is always excited when pulling into the parking lot. Boarding they have what I can best describe as very nice see-through pantry door kennels, giving privacy and viewing capabilities, along with dampening sound to give peaceful pup time. They can handle fresh food requests if you bring your own. We haven't used it, but they also have pick up and drop off service. We see the vans around town. read more

Where do I begin with this one? I would give 100 stars if I could. Jillian and her team literally saved our lives. We called OC Pet Care essentially hopeless about our Golden Retriever puppy, Jagger. He had every undesirable behavior under the sun, minus going to the bathroom in the house. He was super reactive on the leash, lunging AND barking at people, dogs, bicycles, skateboards, busses, cars ... He would bark uncontrollably on walks at random people/dogs almost like he was an attack animal ... and he pulled so bad you couldn't even take him anywhere. The saddest thing is he stopped going to about 90% of the places we would walk him, and would rather be dragged by his neck. He would wine everywhere, growl and bark out the window and on our balcony. We tried everything, watching training videos talking to everyone. We tried every tool possible (collars, harness, gentle leader), nothing got through to him. It was very bad. The craziest part is that Jagger is the sweetest dog in the world. We found OC Pet Care and were super hopeful because Jillian is a behaviorist. We had about 10 days before she had space at the board and train, however Jagger kept getting worse and worse. Without even being clients yet, Dan agreed to meet us on a walk to try and show us a few tricks to get him through the week. We knew when Dan went out of his way to help us in the evening that OC Pet Care goes above and beyond for their clients. When Jillian got Jagger he was a disaster. During our week 1 check up she said he some of the worst anxiety she had ever seen and that he was going to be a challenge. He didn't make much progress in the first week, and although we thought he would never get better we appreciated Jillian's transparence and honesty. Fast forward to week 2, we get a call from Jillian. Jagger had made progress and he was ready for his first in home training session. As a behaviorist she knew exactly what to do for his anxiety using different tools at her disposal. When we did out first at home session we noticed a huge change, which left us hopeful. At this point she recommended a 3rd week and we happily obliged. We had another at home training session where we examined all his bad habits in the house and she helped us correct them. She worked him through all of his trouble spots and went back for his final week (he ended up staying their 3.5 weeks). Jagger came home on Tuesday (it's now Thursday) and we have a completely different dog. She gave us a plan and outline of how his days should look and what he should be doing morning to night. We have an aftercare plan that includes pack walks with OC Pet Care and individual sessions so we never go back to where we were. He is now the most relaxed dog and an angel. Essentially we both feel like we are living in a dream with our pup. He listens and his reactivity has gone down from a 10 to a 1. We still have to stay on him but with Jillian's instruction we feel confident. There isn't a high enough rating in my eyes for OC Pet Care. Moral of this review is that if you are hopeless with your Dog: Call Jillian. I'm sure she does just as great with the easy dogs too :-) read more

I can't even give Bark Collective enough stars!! We have had our 2 Frenchies under Jillian's care since they were about 12 weeks old. They're 3 now. She's trained them, which was a challenge in itself! Her team picks them up 4 days a week, every week and walks them or entertains them at her facility. When we travel they are boarded at the facility. Our little Poppy acted ill a couple trips ago. Dan took her to the best emergency clinic and was in constant communication with me while we were in Mexico. When she was finally released from the emergency clinic at 2am. He went back and picked up her brother Chapo (this was the first time they were ever separated)!!!! He kindly took them both to his home so he could observe Poppy all night and he made both dogs comfortable by keeping them together!! I grew up in a veterinary hospital and I'm beyond picky about my pets care. The team at Bark will take care of your doggy as one of their own. This review is 3 years overdue! But they are THE BEST!!! I cannot say enough positive things about OCPC. Jillian and Dan and the whole team are the absolute best. We initially utilized OCPC for their board and train service when we got a puppy last summer. After two weeks of training, we signed our dog up for pack walks. She loved them so much we made it a regular part of her week. Now when someone comes to the door, she assumes it's for her pack walk. They treated our Scout like she was one of their own. And we trusted them implicitly with her. We were referred to Jillian by a friend when we were having major behavioral issues with our dog, Waffles. We had issues with herding and nipping. My husband and I have been searching for over a year to find a place to board our 12 year old pup, Katniss. Our girl is a Lab/Boxer mix, great temperament but some physical issues due to being hit by a car before we adopted her. During the pandemic she was not socialized for a while. Since she has some physical issues, she is better with smaller dogs even though she is about 70 pounds. We drove by Bark Collective and decided to stop in. Dan met us and was extremely cordial as we discussed our concerns about our pup. He recommended we bring her in for a half day. One of the things that impressed us was that dogs were not grouped by size temperament. When we went to pick Katniss up, Dan said she did great. She was calm, tail wagging and seemed to really enjoy her morning at Bark. We decided to go away for a few days. We received photos every day of our smiling girl! She was relaxing in the sun (one of her favorite things to do), smiling and comfortable. The daily pictures were such a blessing. Everyone at Bark Collective is kind and it's oblivious that they truly care about our precious pups. Thank you, Dan, Jillian and your amazing staff for taking such good care of our girl. I could not recommend Bark Collective more! We recently finished the 2 week Board and Train service for our two dogs, Nala (3 year old Shepherd mix) and Tito (2 year old Lab) and it was the best experience ever!! Abby is an amazing trainer - identified issues with both our dogs and gave us the tools to continue training once bringing the pups home. Nala and Tito are truly different (happier and healthier!) dogs and we can happily go on a walk without getting pulled the entire way or being nervous to pass by other pups. Abby and the entire team were super communicative throughout the entire process - we even received pictures every day! This place is amazing! My wife and I adopted a 7 month old Great Dane (Indie) who had never been socialized or trained and had never left her yard. Jillian is the best! She came to our place and did a training session with us; she basically showed us that we were doing everything wrong for the outcome we wanted and it made perfect sense. (Coddling her, letting her be in charge of the space, not setting boundaries or establishing ourselves as the leaders, etc) She showed us how to handle her, what products we should use, and came up with a full plan to socialize her and get her used to new people/places. In just two weeks of daycare (including pack walks) and one training session, she's already like a different dog. Can't recommend these guys highly enough. Whatever your needs are, give them a call.
