The two men we met that are in charge of overseeing the dogs were informative as well as understanding my nervousness about leaving him for the first time. There was ample paperwork to fill out but that proved they are cautious and fulfilling their responsibilities given their good reputation. It went so well we took him back a second day. They are a good 15 mins. off the beaten road in a very rural location but was worth the drive. Would definitely use them again if in that area.

We paid her and gave her a tip. Our dog seemed slightly more shy than normal, but he's a shy dog anyways. 500 yards down the road there's pools of blood in the backseat of my car. This woman handed us back a damaged and hurt dog without saying anything. Immediately we return to try and address this and at least get some bandages. Understanding that accidents happen but frustrated that this info was not disclosed as it should've been. There was not more than 5 minutes between us leaving and returning. We called the business and nobody answered. When we returned no one was there and nobody answered the phone, middle of the day. The dog is still bleeding actively. It's obvious that this woman couldn't have been oblivious to this fact. There was simply too much blood. We wait around the place for fifteen minutes. Occasionally knocking or calling the business to no avail. They gave us a damaged dog, that they hurt, and then promptly ignored us! We will never come back here again. They hurt our dog then took our money. On top of that, they really didn't do a good job grooming at all. My dog is hurt and I am lied to and taken advantage of. Take care of your dog and stay away from this place.

I had a golden retriever before him, and I have never had as amazing an experience at a dog daycare, boarding, grooming, etc place as Big Valley. It is evident the staff absolutely love animals and put such care and dedication into ensuring every dog, cat, etc is not only safe, but having the bestest of times. I'm moving to the Boston area, and one of things that makes it hardest to leave Poulsbo is that Pippin is parting ways with one of his favorite places in the world. I'll forever and ever be grateful for everyone at Big Valley. I broke my leg a few summers ago and they were SO accommodating for me and Pippin, it melted my heart. Keri, Winter, Emma, Tapanga, Dayna, Nicole, Emily, Sarah, Hailey, Ava, Grace, Cal, Dylan, Megan, Keeley, Gideon, Meadow, and anyone else I missed - thank you all SO MUCH for being the best extended family for Pippin. First you have to bring your dog in for a daytime stay, then you have to come back for an overnight stay. And the meet and greet is good for only one year, so you have to come back and do it all over again for the same dog, which is absurd.

Cloud had a tough time with his grooming and bath at first, but with care and patience he now does very well. Cloud is now 3 years old and we would not think of taking him anywhere else for day care, grooming or boarding. There have been times of emergency and RDR has gone above and beyond making sure we had nothing to worry about when my husband and myself ended up in the hospital. RDR took such good care of Cloud. He just loves it there and gets so excited when we pull up. I think if he ever got lost he would find RDR before he would find home!
