A true neighborhood gem. We are regulars here and the food and service are consistently outstanding! They serve classic American comfort dishes with very generous portions and great drinks suitable for everybody. Vibe is clean and casual, and the patio is dog friendly. The restaurant is frequented by the locals in the Tanglewood area and you can really feel it in the vibe and warm service. Our favorite foods are the small house salad (technically a starter but large enough to serve as a meal), spinach artichoke dip, basket of fries, Cobb salad with fried chicken, petite steak and eggs, egg salad with bacon sandwich, bacon blue cheese hamburger, and chocolate cake. The strawberry lemonade is excellent and the drip coffee is solid. Don't sleep on the garlic ranch. The portions are so big here that each regular meal usually ends up being split into two for a leftover meal or to be shared at the restaurant (they can even split individual plates if you ask). Their style of fries is one of my personal favorites - stringy thin and crispy fries with Cajun seasoning.

Love this place. Been in Houston 5 years and just now came across this place. It is the best of the best. Good, Service and Atmosphere. My favorite is the Clubhouse Sandwich but the burgers are great as well

    RAW BACON IN CLUB SANDWICH

Ordered a club sandwich. The bacon is RAW. A person could actually get sick from this.

The service was great! The food was delicious. The ladies room was clean, and they had complimentary mouth wash with disposable cups available too. Fancy! There's also a baby changer. Plenty of parking! The inside of the restaurant is spacious. Lovely decorations. I tried their Luna pepperoni pizza and it was tasty! I ordered for myself the meatloaf with grilled asparagus - the sauce on the meatloaf was sweeter than I'm used to but the meatloaf was very savory so it was a nice combination of flavors. Great servings! Had leftovers for a couple days. Will return soon!

Food was just okay and the service could be better. It didn't really meet my expectations.

Barnaby's is consistently great. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, to-go or dine- in, it really doesn't matter -- we can always count on Barnaby's to provide us with an awesome meal and experience! Stop on by the Fountain View location, it's just as amazing as every other one!

This was my first time coming to this location. Barnaby's has great breakfast/brunch/lunch and is yummy and affordable. I always enjoy the club sandwich even though it's painfully messy to eat. The fries here are pretty bland so you definitely need to douse them in ketchup. Love the big pickle! Our booth seats were dirty/had crumbs when we sat.

Food, the great customer service and ambiance can NOT be beat. The sweet potato fries are my go to as they are one of my favorites of the many things on the menu.

Stopped by for brunch with my friend and his kids and the host was very off-putting from the moment we walked in. They dismissed us until I spoke up as if they couldn't see us standing there. Then tried to sit us by the bathroom, with two kids, which was an absolute NO. We asked to be seated in the "patio" area and ordered right before brunch was over. The food had no taste and the service sucked. Our waiter was decent and the only polite person there but the experience overall was upsetting. You'd think people would be nicer especially when they see you with kids. Sigh.

Our waitress, Ayse, was also wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and took great care of us throughout the meal. We started with the baba ghanouj, which was very good. We also ordered the dynamite shrimp. The flavor was good, but I wasn't a huge fan of how heavily battered the shrimp were. The crispy halloumi sticks were easily my favorite. The combination of the salty cheese and sweet honey was so good. We also ordered the spicy potatoes, and I loved the kick from the spices. They had a really good flavor without being overwhelmingly spicy. For our entrées, my mom ordered the creamy chicken freekeh. She really enjoyed the chicken and said the mushroom sauce was delicious. The freekeh grains also had a lot of flavor. My dad ordered the salmon plate with rice and really enjoyed his as well. My sister and I both ordered the crispy CBR wrap with truffle fries, and it was so good. The wrap had great flavor, and the fries were cooked perfectly. For dessert, we shared the carrot cake, which was delicious. It was a great way to end the meal. Overall, we all really enjoyed our experience at The Butcher's Grille. As with all Eindteins they offer a wide variety of bagel options. I have been impressed with their breakfast bagel sandwich options, in particular the Signature Egg Sandwich. Seems like the most effective way to earn rewards is to order ahead through the app as they do not offer an option to upload a receipt. Hopefully this gets updated in the future.. As a side note, It would also be nice if they offered 1 day old bagels at a substantial discount in an effort to reduce waste. Overall I would encourage people to checkout the Einstein Brow. The Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich on Jalapeño bun came out piping hot, and all the flavors and textures were on point. It is a bit pricey ($9) but worth it if you're willing to cough up some cash for fast food / fast casual breakfast. I did a mobile order so there was limited interaction with staff so I can't comment too much on the service. Definitely nothing negative to describe. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, clean, a good amount of seating, with clean restrooms. The only downside for this location is the tight parking. You will often show up with no spots open, so you may need to sit around for a few minutes until one opens up. Just circle the lot a few times and look for people walking to their cars. Just don't exit the actual parking lot onto Chimney Rock or San Felipe because you need to do all these crazy u-turns to get back into the lot. Enjoy!

Similarly to their more popular location in Memorial (#2), this outside of this Bellaire spot doesn't immediately tell the full story. The interior has an industrial vibe, with the high ceilings and overhead fixtures, but as converted into a solid dining space. The large tilted mirrors in the main area are reminiscent of the now defunct Helen's (#3) and makes for a fun (or perhaps distracting) visual. The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid. I feel the buttermilk chicken tender platter ($19) is really meant for children, but is great for any tender lover in the bunch. Their weekly "features" are a series of daily specials that range from prime rib nights on Wednesdays and ribeyes on Thursdays, and "kids eat free" specials + their happy hour give folks plenty of reason to check it out. ___________ ( #1) Especially during their seasonal deals which can sometimes include steep discounts. We split the chicken avocado sandwich and the French dip. Both were very tasty, but the French dip was hands-down the winner for me. First of all when they bring it out, it smells like garlic bread! It was flavorful, whether or not it was dipped in the au jus. We had the grilled chicken for the chicken avocado sandwich, and it was juicy. It looked like it only came with two slices of avocado though, which felt a little sad. Both sandwiches came with a ton of very skinny crunchy fries. We live in the area and passed by this spot so many times without even knowing The exterior is appealing and eye catching. The whole section of restaurants has a trendy and family friendly vibe. It would be the perfect spot to enjoy some outdoor bites and libations if not for the insufferable weather we have most of the year, but luckily, the interior is just as lovely. It's immaculate, well decorated, and deceptively spacious. There's plenty of booths, tables, and there's even a fully stocked bar and takeaway area The menu offers a variety of delicacies from a french dip, to pecan crusted chicken, to enchiladas. They have lovely handcrafted cocktails to choose from - some classic cocktails and some signature concoctions Everything tasted and looked great. The pecan chicken was more sweet than I expected, but still good. All of the sides were great. The cocktails looked great and tasted good. I did order one cocktail that gave ingredients but mentioned a "thick pink juice" that is made in-house, and upon my initial taste I soon discovered they meant beet juice. It wasn't bad, just unexpected and a little overpowering Our sever was good. Our orders came out quickly and without any issues. We did have to wait a while for top-offs on water. Also, as I was taking photos of the food our server was behind me and I apologized and they said "phone eats first," and I hope that was only meant in jest and not throwing shade lol Some tips: These plates aren't the most shareable, but if in a group I would consider ordering a variety of entrees and sides and trying each others meals If you're feeling something sweet after your meal, consider walking next door to Milk + Sugar.
