Stopped by for their annual end of year sale. This Barnes & Noble is huge and is one of the rare locations with the B&N Kitchen. This location is huge and you're almost guaranteed to walk out with something. Everything is always well organized and clean. I absolutely loved seeing how busy this place was for the holidays.

Books and books galore...

This is a nice place in the Palladio to peruse books and more in a relaxing environment. My family and I frequent this place and find that the time does pass by here quite quickly...quite enjoyably. There's seating areas around where you can take a book for a spin before purchasing. And there's a restaurant and coffee bar if the time is right for food and beverages. There's just so much to enjoy... The place is brightly lit and well decorated. Apart from books, there's a lot more other things you can buy...vinyl records, toys, even model kits you can assemble in your spare time. And there is always the staff, friendly and knowledgeable about the store and its merchandise. Summer time in Folsom can get quite hot, but a relaxing visit to Barnes and Noble here in the Palladio is cool!

I love the layout of this store. It's welcoming and well-staffed with separate resource and checkout areas. My son loved the salted white toffee cookie from the cafe.

Probably the best B&N I've ever been to. It's massive and even has a restaurant inside. Located in the Palladio shopping center it's in a great location. Such a vast variety of books and toys. I had a great time visiting this location and my kids were thrilled with their book selections.

Such a neat experience. I haven't had the food. But it's a nice touch for buying a book and having something to eat or drink. Always a good stop while waiting for the movies.

I love to come to this outdoor mall in Folsom . Everytime we come here we have to stop at Barnes and Noble grab a coffee so us adults can continue to walk around. My boys and I love to look around pick books to read . This store is huge and has a lot of cool things and obviously great books . On the left side they have a restaurant and coffee . Next time we come back we will definitely stop by again for some more fun family time here.

Blind date with a book! Love this idea.

We had dinner at The Melt and wanted to stretch our legs after. I haven't been to a book store in like forever, because I mostly read e-books. This Barnes & Noble is bigger than I expected with high ceilings and spacious. If I had the time, I'd feel comfortable curling up in a corner and read. There is a big section of Manga, which my teenager son enjoyed thoroughly. A large area for young kids. A nice section of magazines and vinyl/CDs. I think you can find just about anything here. There is also a restaurant called Barnes & Noble Kitchen inside - very convenient! The individual private restrooms are a plus! We purchased a couple of books and this was a nice treat. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Palladio.

Went to this B&N location with a friend for Liz Tomforde and Tarah Dewitt book signing - very spacious and super organized event! B&N Employees were great and the event went by smoothly- and had a great time. I love that this location has multiple restrooms and several indie books that I haven't seen at other B&N locations. Can't wait to go back here again!

This bookstore doesn't have as many books as other locations but they do have a great selection. Half this store is a restaurant and there's a Starbucks inside. When you first walk in, it's all tables with popular books. There's one table with Barnes and Noble exclusive editions. These are usually hardback classics with golden edges on the pages. They sell vinyls here too. They also have a Harry Potter table with merchandise. Their children's section has a seat for reading and lots of toys for sale. To the right of the shop are the bathrooms and water fountain. The cafe is on the right side too. This shop have much more space than other locations, making it feel less cramped. Some areas of the bookstore have so much space, such as the manga section.

Liam and Kate were so helpful and went above and beyond at my visit yesterday. They gave me a time frame of when I would be called via the intercom. The selection of books, CDs, DVDs, video games, and other exciting things were all presented with visual aesthetics. The rest of the staff assisted me with where the restroom was at and another person helped me out with where to go by directing me to the way to get there. Liam again helped me out with my books I placed on to the push carts. Kate was there to help me out at the cash register after I found a few books I have been looking for at other book stores and online. I would like to highly suggest any book readers or book worms, any other physical media, or nostalgic items to come to this store and support a great collection of not only books, but a very professional team and staff at this particular store location. A+++++

I understand stores gotta make money. Most items were close to retail. However, somethings I did like. Their graphic novels I felt were priced faire. Their dvds and blurays were priced fare. I would comeback again. While I had some minor issues on certain prices, I am glad to see more brick and mortar based stores still exist, Stop shopping on amazon and support real businesses'.

This used to be a great store when Don was the owner. Don…read moreis gone, but his wife Renee is now running the shop. Now it is terrible. We used to buy childrens books here almost weekly, their selection is decent while extremely unorganized. (Don't trip on the piles of books). Don was great, as he was always friendly and helpful, and it was clear he had a deep passion and love for books. We would bring in trade books as our kids grew up and outgrew their books, and they would discount any new purchases based on how much trade credit we had with them. The books were always priced well and reasonably, and while disorganized, it was the closest bookstore we had. it was always fun to look for treasures, and chat a bit with Don. Things went completely downhill when his wife took over the business. She got rid of the friendly cashiers and replaced them with what appears to be her friends, who know next to nothing about books, and are constantly in bad moods or throw attitude. Last week we were in line and the grey haired lady rand up a guy in front of us, saying nothing, then mockingly said something along the lines of "This is where you give me the credit card so that you pay", without saying anything else to him. No idea why she was so mad as a quiet customer who was confused by herr terrible attitude. We wanted to leave immediately, but we had two books to buy, so we had to deal with the aftermath. Then when we were checked out, she grumpily told us the price without looking at us. What on earth is happening here now. When we got home, we saw that the books were priced 1 or 2 dollars more than the new price, so even with our discount, we were practically paying new prices for books in fairly poor condition. We will be going elsewhere in the future. We just wish a decent bookstore would open in our area so we don't have to drive to Half Price. Maybe when his wife gives up, it will prompt someone else to open a shop who actually cares.

I visited this b&n location after visiting the Arden and Folsom location, and I was very excited to find that they were carrying a specific book that I couldn't find at the other two. A bookseller even came by to talk about the book with me and she was absolutely raving about it. I spent quite some time in this store, and was very surprised when she remembered me at checkout! I got a chance to chat with her and the bookseller at the cash register over about the book and what a pleasure it was. They've got a repeat customer out of me!

The manga selection has a few mainstream titles but majority are older/niche which I appreciated looking through. If you're looking for material to learn Japanese, there was a pretty large section as well! Aside from manga, they also carry mystery, horror, non fiction, fiction, Western and a variety of spirituality/self help books. There's also designated sections for female authors, children's literature and Japanese only books. Some books will have handwritten price tags but overall pricing is more than fair and reasonable! Takeshi is so so kind and grateful for each customer that comes through and you can tell he appreciates getting to know everyone individually. Please come to support him and his wife! I've been meaning to pick up reading again so I will definitely be back soon :))
