They do NOT price match their own website! This is ridiculous. I was shopping online and the B&N website said the book was available in store. When I went in store to pick it up, the book was $17 more! They refused to price match even after I showed them their own website on my phone. This is smaller than I thought. But it's clean and organized but didn't have a huge selection of books I needed.

Very poor customer service. I called to have them check on a book and they left me on hold and NEVER came back to the phone. When I tried to call back, NOBODY answered the phone. They just played music all day. This incident occurred on November 17,2012. This is why EVERYBODY shops online and all the book stores are going out of business! read more

Heads up ! I made a purchase with a credit card last year and signed up for a membership. I just got a letter that says barnes and noble with automatically debit the credit card I used. I never sigined up for direct debit for 25$ a year from barnes and noble. Buyer Beware. read more

wanted to share my horrible experience with eveyone. in the 1st week in November I walked in the this Barnes and nobles to ask if they had any hatchimals, they didn't but the very nice lady in the kids section told me she could order it for me and when it comes in they would hold it for 14 days and they could not sell it until then. at 1st I thought that's pretty cool. well 1 week later I get a vm at 5 pm saying that they received my order but they can't hold it because it's a hot item and if I don't pick it up that night , they would sell it. I was working late that night and didn't receive that message till the next day and called the store as soon as possible. the person I spoke to was very rude about my situation so I asked to speak to a manager. the store manager Chris picked up the phone and at 1st didn't make my situation a big deal, but talking to him some more, he told me he would hold 2 hatchimals for me as soon as they come in and he would notify me. He told me to be patient and guaranteed me they would receive some by Christmas. in this whole time, Chris or any other employee there never updated me on the status and I called atleast 5 times asking about it. well Christmas came and I never got my hatchimals and Chris never called to update me, apologies, offer me anything for the inconvenience. he has my information as another manager says it's in their office with all my info. I used to go to this store once a week with my kids and buy books, games... I will never go again. I will also be contacting corporate because this is not how you treat people, no respect. read more

I frequent barnes and nobles and am happy to see that in this day and age, I'm able to have a store like this to go to. With that said, I've gone to many of these stores and usually leave a happy customer. However this time not so much. I went in looking for a retro game magazine I get every month, but this time I couldn't find it. So I went over to the information area and asked an employee named Johnny(who turned out was the on duty manager) when they will be getting this magazine. He responded with a very nonchalant and cocky attitude ' we will get it when we get it'. I asked him can you please repeat that and he said it again. I told him his attitude was very rude not to mention unprofessional. I said it in a very calm but assertive way. Then he says in his exact words 'you're a little tense aren't you'. I didn't want to engage him any more so I asked him who his manager was and he said Chris. I will be talking to Chris tomorrow and possibly to corporate. I am giving this place a 2 star and not a 1 because as a whole I like this chain and I'm sure this is a great store as well. read more

I used to like browsing for books at this location until one very rude employee ruined my experience. I was in my last month of pregnancy, and I needed to purchase a couple of pregnancy/baby books. I couldn't decide on which, and my feet and back were aching. I grabbed the books I wanted to look through to make my decision but I could not find seating anywhere. Right behind the shelf where the pregnancy books are, is the children's book section. I went around and grabbed a seat to quickly make a decision, when the employee came up to me and said, "You can't bring any books in here!" At the time she was putting books back where they belong. I politely explained the situation to her but there were no exceptions according to her. Even when I said I'd put them all back, she kept saying, "No, u can't sit in here with those books. You have to take them out of here." I was pretty shocked (and feelings hurt) that she was so mean and rude to me. I did take the books out of that section and walked right around the other side of the shelf and placed the books wherever they fit, left the store, and I haven't been back since. read more

I personally dislike, if not more hate this Barnes and Nobles. I believe that their service is 100% poor. The place is absolutely disastrous. They barely have enough chairs for people to sit on and dont even mention the tables. I also happened to notice that there were three girls quietly studying and munching on their cookies that they bought. Few hours later, the manager kicked them out because they were still eating, but they bought their food from Barnes and Nobles and were quietly studying. Usually High School students don't study much during the summer, so that was a change, but it was really rude that the manager kicked them out. I would recommend that no one goes to this Barnes and Nobles. They have poor service and it is also really sad to say that I am very disappointed that Borders, a great bookstore with awesome service, at CTC closed down while Barnes and Nobles at LBTC is still around. I am usually the person that likes read and be around bookstores, but I rather sit on the streets and read or go to Starbucks which is also at LBTC. read more
