We visited this Barnes & Noble since we were running errands on this side of town. We noticed more seating areas were available. At one time, this was not the case. I enjoyed a catch up of some magazines and hubby looked at a coffee table book. Very pleasant time. Shared parking lot and WiFi in the store.

I haven't been in Barnes & Noble in a minute, I normally purchase everything online so it was refreshing to go in and browse around the store. The store was very clean and organized. The employee that helped me was so nice and helpful. I really hate I can't recall her name, she was awesome. Lots of good iBooks, toys and learning items for the kids. Picked up some piano books at a great price. Totally worth the time going to the actual store

It's a convenient Barnes & Noble bookstore located in Scottsdale, and they carry variety selections of books, legos, and other stuff, although the layout could be more organized and make it easy to navigate. There's also a Starbucks in the back of the store. I think staff is generally nice here too, and plenty parking right outside the store.

Over the years, one of my favorite types of stores to visit have been book stores, though there are fewer and fewer of them left nowadays. I remember when B. Dalton and Borders stores both closed, and while there are still quite a number of used book stores in town, Barnes & Noble is the only big chain of new book stores that are around though even the chain has reduced the number of stores in recent years. The once-upon-a-time Bookstar location is still busy and hopefully will be in business for quite some time (or as long as Barnes & Noble stores are in the Valley in the Sun). When first walking into the store, similar to other Barnes & Nobles stores, you enter into a rather open area with shelves of books straight ahead with an information desk in the middle of the store, a check out area, kids' book area, and gifts on the left, and magazines, new releases, and Starbucks on the right. There is certainly something for everyone in the store. I found that the shelves were well stocked and everything looked neat. I could see employees near the front at the checkout area as well as at the info desk, though when I was walking around the store today looking for help, I found it difficult to find someone. I was also on the mission for a new book mark. When I finally asked for help locating book marks, they were next to the info desk (and not the check out area); I realized that not all of the items in the store were in places that made sense. At least the staff knew where to go and could point me the right way. While I cancelled my paid Barnes and Noble membership years ago as I didn't shop in the stores or online as much (now that I've been going to the library), I just learned today that there are now free memberships, which let you collect stamps to save with Rewards (1 stamp for every $10 spent in a purchase; 10 stamps = $5 reward). The premium membership is $39.99 per year and includes 10% off almost everything at Barnes & Noble, Paper Source stores, and NOOK devices, FREE shipping with no minimum purchase, a free tote every Premium Membership year, a free eBook every month, free upgrade to next size Starbucks beverage, free treats for your birthday and those of your children, exclusive early access to special editions and events, and exclusive deals & offers. I also once had a B&N credit card where you can earn a free premium membership, earning money back and extra points when shopping at Barnes & Noble. You can learn more about tall of this and more (including sweepstakes) at https://www.barnesandnoble.com. With libraries and used book stores, I'm worried that Barnes & Noble won't last too long though I am hopeful it will as I enjoy browsing the shelves when I go and leaving with at least something.

I like spending time at a bookstore. I purchase most of stuff online for lower price and convenience but when it comes to books, I still like this human interaction. Their cafe makes standard Starbucks drinks, nice to be able to read a few pages with drinks before deciding to buy books or not. Staff is knowledgeable about books. They always have great recommendation and good way to discover books by talking to them. Always clean and organized. Yes Amazon book price is cheaper often time but I still appreciate the opportunity to be able to touch books before deciding to buy.

Tried the audiobook route but there is nothing like holding a book in your hands. Love the selection and feeling of being in a real book store. I don't get the same feeling from the Amazon bookstore at the quarter. Wish there was still a Barnes & noble at Kierland but the 90th and Shea location is worth the drive

Nice store. Lots of old books, nor much new. But if you want something likely out of print this is…read morethe place. Inside has lots of stuff to look at, maps etc.

Okay, so here's the lowdown: this bookstore is kind of a love-hate situation for me. On one hand,…read moreI'm not really into the old books themselves -- like, the stories and info inside don't always grab me, and sometimes they feel outdated or just not my thing. But on the flip side, the whole atmosphere of the place is chef's kiss for anyone who vibes with that old-school charm. The shelves are packed with leather-bound books that look like they've got stories in their covers alone. The texture and smell of those vintage leather bindings? Pure magic. If you're someone who loves that sort of musty, nostalgic scent that only time and dust can create, this place is basically a treasure trove. It's like stepping into a cozy library from another era, where every book feels like a mini relic. So yeah, if you're not fussed about the content but totally into the aesthetic -- the look, the feel, the smell -- you'll probably fall hard for this spot. But if you want fresh pages and modern reads, maybe it's not your vibe. Still, for anyone who's into the tactile, sensory side of books -- that old leather smell, the slightly rough feel of aged paper, the aura of history -- this bookstore is a whole mood, no cap.
