Fun place. Live music. We live in Talega so it's great for a super close local stop. Food is good, not great.

I'd definately leave a no star if I could. Food was mediocre, steak never even arrived even after I asked for it several times and then canceled it. Then me and a friend and his girl were kicked out for...... I have no explanation for maybe the $1 tip on a $400 tab that could be it, which to be honest I didn't even feel like leaving that. He brought the change back and threw it on the table. Then told told us we better leave or he would "kick my ass" which we did get up and leave but I will say this he's going to learn what penal code 422 is in California in the next day or so. There are many great wine bars in Orange County that will treat you great and have great food and selection. No owner should ever let this occur at there establishment and they are also going to learn that they are responsible for their employees and making a customer feel for their safety and the safety of their friends. read more

This place is nice it is easy to find so I'm not sure why there are other reviews that say it is hard. I was here on a Friday night there was live music and not too crowded. The crowd Is much older. This place is not somewhere where you can come party and be annoying. It is more relaxed to enjoy a glass of wine or too and some good food. My wife and I have becoming here since 2014 and always always loved the place. Well things have changed ! Today we arrived at about 5:30 and sat at the bar next to friend that was already there. There were at least 4 maybe 5 servers moving around behind the bar. The place was busy but far from packed after 10 to 15 minutes our friend finally asked one of the servers if they could take our drink order We got our drinks and were planning on have dinner but could not get anyone of servers attention to place our order Out server, named Morgan, finally after being asked twice if we could order food finally came over. I had had it by then put down $20 my beer was $7 and wife's wine was $12 and guess what good old Morgan screwed me out of $1 change assuming I must have wanted to leave him a generous tip!! This place will soon go out business if this level of service continues So sad it was always such nice place to come to. read more

This hidden gem carries the BEST variety of stout beer in the city of San Clemente. With a changing case, I personally have complimented the buyer for doing such an awesome job. It's also very convenient to take a couple bottles with me to drink in the comfort of my own home. You can also take anything from the fridge and enjoy at the patio. Great local vibe and always and friendly service. Unfortunately, hardly a place for vegans unless you like a side of nuts, olives and bread. For this reason, I removed a star. Our large group was treated rudely by both the nasty waitress and the owner, Kim. We have all been coming to Barnoa since they opened, and it is our "go to" neighborhood spot, for every day and for special occasions like birthday parties. Sadly, Kim is not customer-service oriented at all and is not grateful for long term loyal patrons. We are not going back and will not be participating in any of their wine tastings or wine club, either. Mike was always so nice and greeted you with a smile. He made great wine recommendations and made you feel welcome. It felt comfortable to eat and drink there and we often bought wine for ourselves and for gifts at Barnoa. After the bartender told me she was "too busy" to ring up a bottle of wine one night and that I'd have to wait "at least 15 minutes until she was free", I put the wine back and went to Ralphs to buy a bottle for a gift instead. There are ways to say and do things that are softer and less rude. Kim and her staff did not get the memo and don't seem to care when they lose business - a large amount of business, btw. Scarlet's in Ladera is our new go-to, with a very nice owner, good food, and craft cocktails. For wine and wine tasting, go with The Cellar or San Clemente Wine Company on Del Mar. They will always accommodate you and make you feel welcome. Sorry Barnoa, but you blew it and don't seem to give a damn! Really sad. read more

We love Barnoa. The staff and the owner are always warm and welcoming. They have added to their outside seating and it's so nice to have some wine and food on their patio. I recommend the Acorn squash. It's delicious and so are the tacos. We belong to their wine club which is fun and provides great wine for the members. read more

This spot was a great new find.!! Went on a Saturday night for a double date. It was surprisingly empty don't think people have caught on to this place yet. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was DELICIOUS! The staff recommended ordering the special .. Salmon with creamy couscous and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.! Seriously it's the best salmon I've had in a really long time. Also ordered a cheese plate that came out with warm bread that our whole table loved. They have a variety of wines at reasonable prices. We chose a bottle of Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis , perfectly chilled and crisp. They a had a singer playing guitar,he sounded great and was entertaining but the volume was a little too loud made it hard to hear our friends across the table. It's my only complaint... It appears the owner or workers were having a zoom meeting in the dining area, it was a little distracting but we were the only ones inside and we were at the bar. It turned out it might have been some vendors. They apologized to possibly the owner that the meeting ran over. The waitress that served us was nice she was the only one working inside and out but for just a few people the service was good. We ordered off the happy hour menu had the devil eggs they were fantastic. It has a nice feeling and atmosphere inside. Our first time here and we would definitely come back. We went for the first time last night and could not have had a better time - Ellie (sp?) was our server and she was so nice and helped us pick out vegan options - always attentive, always accommodating - a real pleasure to be around. The entire staff was the same - we felt like we were invited into a home. The tables and chairs were so comfortable and roomy. The happy hour prices are perfect for a quick after work drink or bite and they've got local music on Monday nights.
