I order out from Barosa all the time so I know the food is amazing, but when at the restaurant it's all that much better! There is an old school Italian feeling in the restaurant and helps give that authenticity to it. The service is amazing even when the place is packed! The barosa salad is amazing and the meatballs taste like my dad's- they're great! The pasta e fagiole was delicious and perfect for cold weather. The pesto pasta was a special off the menu item and was so good I've dreamt about it since! I also think our other pasta may be a restaurant only item because it's on their menu there but not on the website. It was to die for and had sausage crumbles! The dessert was great and all around a great time finally coming in. I will be back for more!

Before my party even arrived, while I was waiting at the bar earlier in the night, I ordered a $10 drink and left a $2 tip. That tip was later changed to $5. This was a single drink, paid separately, and the tip was altered after the fact. During the dinner itself, I fully expected a mandatory gratuity for a large group. That is standard. What I did not expect was an additional "operating fee" added on top, with no clear disclosure upfront, and still applied even when paying cash. That is a hidden surcharge, plain and simple. Changing a tip and adding undisclosed fees crosses a line. This is not about generosity or misunderstanding. It is about trust. Check your receipts carefully if you dine here.

My wife and I have been dining here for over 20 years, yet we had no idea they had a downstairs party room. We found out when we attended a wedding. It fits about 60 people, and it was a surprisingly nice experience. The service was so good; no glass remained empty. Very professional and friendly. And the food was just delicious. It was a terrific time.

Best spot for local Italian. Been going to Barosa for years and the quality is always prime. They always have good specials and the service is always good. In all my years going I never had a bad experience.. Ordered the veal polenta with spaghetti carbonara. So good. Apps of calamari and baked clams were delicious. No matter what you order in this place your Italian food fantasies will come true. Entrees also ordered were chicken sorrentino veal marsala, chicken parm, and the maple pork chop special. The place was packed. Everyone left with full bellies enjoying the experience. Barosa is where it's at.

I heard this place was suppose to be good! I have never eaten here and tried it for the first time because I moved into the neighborhood. Ordered 2 slices to go. When I got home the pizza was already cold. Mind you I live across the street. It also tasted like old pizza. The crust was super chewy. Did not finish it at all. It's a shame because I heard good things. I don't know if I'll be back here again. If I do it will not be too soon.

Fantastic. I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants in NY and LA. The quality and atmosphere at Barosa tops them all. Food was prepared to perfection. My friend, who is Italian from Chicago, says it's the best he has ever had. I couldn't agree more. The ambiance & music set the mood for an incredible night of fine dining. Close to Citifield. If you are ever at a game, come before or leave the game early. Don't miss out.

Meh. Nothing to write home about in my opinion, but I'd give Barosa between a 3 and 3.5 - probably closer to a 3.5. We were a group of seven people and ordered fried calamari, meatballs, chicken franches, shrimp scampi, chicken piccata and a few of the specials. My dish was the shrimp scampi - it had flavor but there was nothing making it a memorable meal. For dessert, we ordered a tartufo and tiramisu along with a few coffee's and cappuccino's. The cappuccino was tastier than I expected it to be. Prices were rather fair, presentation was basic, service was fine, the atmosphere was average and the food was okay. So you see, there wasn't anything bad about the meal, just no single wow factor and that's okay. There are a lot of restaurants throughout the boroughs giving Barosa a cozy spot in the dime a dozen category.

I have been hearing really good things about Barosa so decided to give it a try myself and was pleased with what I ordered. I had the eggplant rollatini and the seafood avocado appetizers and enjoyed both, but the seafood avocado was unique and definitely the star of my order. An avocado on top of mixed greens topped with chopped lobster and shrimp with mayonnaise and a balsamic glaze is not something I have ever seen on a menu at an Italian restaurant, but I am so glad it was because it was delicious. The eggplant rollatini was also enjoyable because the eggplant was sliced thinly and had the perfect ratio of ricotta and mozzarella but the only thing I would have preferred was for the tomato sauce to be just a tad sweeter because it was a bit tart/acidy for my personal liking. I definitely will be ordering more and look forward to having the seafood avocado again.

Went for date night on a Tuesday evening. It was busy but we were seated right away. Staff was nice. Our waiter helped us make decisions based on what we were looking for. We ordered the egg roll(not pictured) and the grandmas meatball for appetizers. The appetizers honestly were disappointing. We couldn't even finish the egg roll and the meatballs while edible, were bland. However, the main entrees were the real deal! We ordered two glasses of wine and got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the chicken parm with vodka sauce. The chicken parm vodka is not on the menu but you can ask them to make it and highly recommended! The atmosphere was pleasant as there was a singer in the middle while we were eating. Overall great experience Plenty of parking but muni-meter

The restaurant was…read morepacked when we arrived on a Friday night, but thankfully did not have to wait as we didn't need a booth. We ordered a large pie with pepperoni and a calzone with sausage. Both items came out together like we asked and was far too much food for two. My first bite of the pizza was hot, crunchy, and delicious. I love fresh oven pizzas with a crispy bottom crust. The chefs did an amazing job cooking it just right. I also loved the fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It really elevated the pizza to another level. The crust was great all around with a slight oven char. Lastly the calzone took me by surprise as it had no sauce and was filled with ricotta cheese as opposed to mozzarella. It came with a small cup of hot marinara sauce for dipping/pouring. It was definitely an interesting calzone but don't think it was worth the price. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and Nick's and would highly recommend it. I do wish the pricing was a bit more fair when it came to full vs half pie toppings as well as the calzone.

My friend has a newborn and we were trying to find restaurants in the area that would be stroller-friendly (which actually isn't an easy task, to my surprise) and finally landed on Nick's because we had gone there together when it reopened. And it always seems very family and kid-friendly. We definitely went to the right place. I'm not a parent and I've never pushed a stroller without some bumps here and there, and I was so worried about helping get the stroller through the 2 doors. One of his staff saw us from the inside and immediately came out to help as soon as we reached for the door. Nick's paternal instincts definitely came into full effect because he looked out for us and wanted to give us the best seats so that we can have the stroller beside us. The pizza is excellent and I absolutely would come here over again and again, but the warm service from Nick himself and his staff is what truly makes this place so special in the community for so long. I didn't get a chance to come here during those formative years before the fire but when the restaurant finally reopened last year, it was incredibly sad to hear Nick explain how the fire and rebuilding devastated him and the business for over 2 years.

I felt slightly intimidated from the look of the place on the outside because it would seem like a middle class to upper class Restaurant but inside, it does look very nice but the setting is very much casual for its basically an upscale Pizzeria. However I didn't have pizza in mind, I went for something bigger and that would be the Chicken Parmigiana along with Root Beer which tallied up to $32 so not too bad. I contemplated about getting Dessert but I ultimately forgone it, which was a good decision in the long run because the chicken parm order was surprisingly hefty. I've gotten used to smaller portions being served in restaurants nowadays and I was expecting I'm gonna be hungry later eventually, but I sure was proven wrong. That meal filled me up proper, a little too proper because I felt absolutely stuffed after eating it all. I'm not one to complain about a good problem. Sure I felt uncomfortable, bloated and sluggish after eating that meal but I will take that any day in the week over feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled because if you're gonna spend $30+ on a meal, you SHOULD get your money's worth and that was a meal I could very well split with two and felt very fine with that. So props to PC for a gut busting meal, for the price I paid for lunch, I should feel like I'm going to spontaneously combust, better that than still feeling empty. That was an amazing meal that I'm STILL feeling the effects of as I write this review going on 8 PM on the same day I ate there at 12:30 PM.
