    Pizza alla nutella
    Stephanie T.

A group of 5 of us visited Radici on a Friday night around 7:00pm. There are plenty of metered parking around and it is free after 7:00pm. Inside, the restaurants atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu serves authentic Italian flavors, pasta, calzone, pizza, and other typical Italian dishes like chicken parm. We got a complimentary basket of house focaccia. The focaccia was warm and very tasty. I ordered the Radici Spritz which was pretty much Aperol Spritz and it was good. We ordered the Fritto Misto di Mare to share. I think the calamari rings and tentacles could have been more golden and crispy. I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. The tagliatelle was fresh and the bolognese had a lot of meat. My friends ordered a Pizza alla nutella to share for dessert. It was calzone shaped and filled with nutella with strawberries on top. I don't care for nutella so I didn't give this a try. Unfortunately, it was quite loud and hard to hear during our visit cuz of all the groups of people having conversations. Service was really great and friendly. He kept on checking if we needed anything. Overall, I do not think I will be coming back to Radici since the food was just okay and there are a lot better Italian restaurants elsewhere. It was a nice experience though.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 8 Overall: 7 I was quite sad to see La Vigna close its doors after so many years being part of the Metropolitan Avenue restaurant row. Thankfully, what replaced it is a very solid Italian restaurant as well. Keeping a part of the old decor, I appreciate that they kept the exposed brick wall on one side of the restaurant. The lighting is quite dim and the space feels very warm, with a nice little bar in the back of the room. As for the quality of the food I had so far, here is a rundown. Margherita Roman Pizza (7/10) - I am a fan of simplicity, so I am a fan of this pie. Capricciosa Roman Pizza (7/10) - The vegetable ingredients tasted fresh, while the prosciutto cotto adds a nice touch of saltiness. Fritto Misto Di Mare (8/10) - This appetizer had a nice portion for sharing. The shrimps were tender, the squid was flavorful, and the zucchini were tasty too. Polpette (7.5/10) - Moist and tender meatballs. I just wish they had given more sauce. Polpo (6/10) - Can octopus be too tender? This version was almost mushy, which was not the best texture for most of us. Rigatoni Con Salsa Alla Vodka (6.5/10) - Better than average, but quite expensive for what it is. Pasta Ai Frutti De Mare (4/10) - Very wet and lack any real seafood flavor. Basically a tomato soup with spaghetti in it, covered by some seafood. Branzino Con Risotto Alla Crema De Zucchine (7/10) - Decently cooked fillets of fish that would be better if the skin was more crispy and the flesh a bit more moist. The risotto was not bad. Pollo Alla Parmigiana (7/10) - I wish the crust was crispier, but the chicken was quite tender. Sauce and cheese were fine. Grilled Red Snapper (8/10) - One of the specials of the night. The portion size was substantial. The fish was moist and well prepared. Osso Buco (8.5/10) - The other special of the night and definitely the best thing we had. Extremely tender and very flavorful. The mushroom risotto was a nice pairing as well. Tiramisu (7/10) - A typical version in a cup. I wish there was a bit more liquor. Pistachio Cake (8/10) - A close second favorite item of the meal. A light feeling cake with a nice strong pistachio flavor. Service was good, and the waiter was friendly. A solid meal all around. Not a place I will think of when I am asked for the best Italian food in the area, but I would come back on nights when they have their osso buco and pistachio cake.

This place was so tasty! Even the bread was nice and light and crisp with great seasoning (I had two baskets) Service was attentive and not pushy, lighting inside is dim and intimate with multiple small tables for date nights. I had the pasta with vodka sauce and it was insanely good. The pasta itself is made fresh in the back and you can even see them portioning them out in the kitchen. I got it with some shrimp and the shrimp was very tender. Definitely coming back to try some other pasta! We also had the octopus appetizer which had a little spice to it and was cooked very well.

Color me impressed, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Queens. Run by brothers from Salerno Italy, this is a quality spot. Arriving on a Saturday evening without a reservation, we were able to grab a table, but the crowds picked up after that. The vibe is casual, but elegant, lively but cozy. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass and they were good quality. We started off with the meatballs, which were served in a light red sauce and were delicious. The pizza is Roman Style; the Mushroom, Truffle pie with brie and prosciutto, was outstanding. Their crust is amazing, it's light and tender and full of flavor. We also wanted to try a pasta and while I normally stay away from specials, the Garganelli with Veal Ragu topped with Ricotta Salata sounded so good, I had to go for it. The dish was exceptional and comforting. Pasta here is expertly homemade and just perfection. The Veal ragu was sublime. We couldn't pass up the homemade dessert, so got a tiramisu. Normally you wouldn't describe a tiramisu as light, but that's exactly what it was and it was amazing. Of course the espresso was also wonderful. What a fantastic addition to Queens and I can't wait to try more of the menu.

I ate the food so fast I forgot to post and this is all that is left!!

Today I stepped in to a wonderful place. We met Fabian and if you decide to come in for a bite to eat my hope is that you run into his persona. His suggestion of the monk fish was an excellent choice and the Branzino was well spiced and the octopus was well grilled and went well with the spices in the humus. Going around 2pm would be a good idea. This will allow you to get the full experience and time needed to really enjoy the food and the attention to make it a wonderful experience. Unfortunately I enjoyed the food so much I forgot to share photos. The photo attached is all that is left of this awesome experience.

Radici's is a gem of an Italian restaurant on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills Queens. The authentic Italian food we had was delicious and the type that we sorely miss living in North Carolina. We stopped in Friday after arriving for the weekend to attend a wedding. When in Queens you gotta find those old school family places to eat at, just my opinion. After doing some research I came across this place which opened fairly recently. I was able to park in the C-Town supermarket lot and according to the waiter, that was fine as long as you're parked closer to the restaurant. If you can't park in the lot there is street parking but just be mindful that it's metered but I think after 7pm you're fine to park without paying. The restaurant inside is very nice but loud so I wouldn't call this a quiet and intimate spot. For me that just added to the ambiance of being back home in NYC where the local Italian restaurants are usually loud, busy and boisterous. Now the food. It was hands down delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. Nothing was over seasoned and it wasn't heavy. We shared a Radicchio salad, Arancini and Octopus (which was a big portion). All were so good. My wife had the Eggplant Parmigiana and I had the Chicken Francese with the Broccoli Rabe. Both were great. The desert we had was Pistachio Chessecake and it was phenomenal. It wasn't heavy or over sweet. We also had some complementary homemade Limoncello. Again, it was just right and not overly sweet like you get in the store. We had a five star dining experience here and enjoyed our night out very much. Much thanks to the staff!

My husband and I visited Radici for dinner on a Friday night and we loved everything about our experience. It's a very warm and welcoming environment and more modern and stylish than a lot of the restaurants in Forest Hills. We started with a delicious and refreshing fennel salad and we each had a pasta dish that was on par with pasta in Italy. I had a special with swordfish and my husband had a ragu. They were both perfectly cooked al dente. I also had an excellent negroni. We didn't try the pizza but the bread they bring to start was delicious and reminded me of pizza crust. We had a lemon tarte and an affogato for dessert and they were both fabulous Arturo, Laert and the rest of the staff were really friendly, even when my order wasn't exactly right because I wasn't completely clear about what I wanted. I called right before we went and it looked like we got the last table, so I recommend making a reservation on weekends.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while, and I'm glad we did. The food is a solid 4 stars. Our main issue this night was service and the kitchen timing. We dined on a weeknight that was not busy the opal spritz and the Negroni we ordered were great. Our salad came out fairly quickly, but we were kept waiting for the next course. It seemed there was a mixup on our order, but the calamari and shrimp appetizer did not disappoint. I had the tortellini for my main course. It came in a broth that was a bit unexpected. The restaurant gave us a free dessert for the mixup in the kitchen, which was nice. There were just long spans between our courses and even getting our check. Pacing was just off. The decor is nice, and we will give Radici another try.

Good food good service friendly staff. It was my daughter's bday and we decided to try this spot. Food was good and fresh my bolognese was very tasty and the meat was well seasoned and the girls and enjoyed their food.

I've been eyeing Radici ever since it popped up in the neighborhood a couple of months ago. My fiancé and I decided to go on a Saturday evening around 6 PM, and it was pretty busy! Definitely make a reservation if you're planning to go on a weekend evening. We did a walk in and luckily there was one table available so we were seated immediately. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was awesome. Nicely dim lights, perfect for a date night or family/friends get together. The staff is SO kind. It's one of those places where you just feel welcomed right away. We had two servers, and both were lovely, but shoutout to Adrita (I believe is her name) who was absolutely amazing. She had such a warm, friendly energy that made the experience even better. Now, let's talk about the food because OMG. We started with the meatballs, which were perfection, and then shared the rigatoni carbonara and the Diavola pizza. I'm not even exaggerating when I say everything was ridiculously delicious. My fiancé literally said it was one of the best pizzas he's had in a while, and honestly, I agree. The pasta was out of this world. So flavorful, perfectly cooked, and dare I say... better than some of the Italian spots we've tried in the city. For drinks, we went with a Negroni and a Hugo, both of which were spot-on. I already can't wait to go back. Radici is officially on my list of go-to dinner spots, and if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening and the restaurant is quite quaint and cozy. We ordered a selection of appetizers such as the bruschetta, burrata, meatballs, and cheese plate. There appetizers were all pretty good but how hard is it to mess up cheese and bread? Apps were simple and delicious. The entrees are where this restaurant was lacking. The tortellini was too al dente and barely had flavor. The branzino risotto was well cooked but again, lacking in flavor. The pizza crust just wasn't great, for an Italian restaurant, it's hard not to do pizza well but this pizza was just mediocre. Would love to highlight the drinks, however. They were all delicious, not too sweet, and were not watered down. Definitely would return for drinks and apps.

I rarely write reviews anymore except when I want to support new businesses that I think really deserve it, and this time it's Radici. My fiancé and I enjoyed a showing at cinemart and ended the night with a fantastic dinner but I was mad I filled up on popcorn beforehand. We started with some spritzes which were very very refreshing alongside their meat and cheese plate. Very filling with a great portion. We also shared the rigatoni alla vodka and burrata Pomodoro for dinner which were both very very delicious. To end our dinner we both enjoyed an espresso with a biscotti which was a nice touch as well as share a Panna cotta. I always say when an Italian restaurant decides to have a Panna cotta on their menu, they're doing it right. The service was excellent and they were very attentive. I also liked the interior and ambiance of the entire place. Nice decor and nice vibes overall. I definitely recommend you try!

The wife and I walked into Villa Russo to meet with KIM in March of 2025. The wife and I had a vision for the theme of the party. Well let me tell you, Kim had samples AND PICTURES of those samples at ACTUAL events. These things made the decision making so much easier because you did not have to visualize anything. It was already there in pictures. To say that Kim led us by the hand and showed us the way is truly an understatement. We believe she went above and beyond what was necessary. We were a little nervous planning a big event like this. Having Kim alongside us every step of the way was such a relief. Whenever my wife had a question about the event, Kim had an answer. THIS WOMAN KNOWS HER BUSINESS!!! When we arrived for our event, we had Justin who was running the room and Riswan who was assisting him. At bartender, we had the sweetest young lady by the name of Minerva. Minerva knew everything as far as what attendees wanted to drink. She was very quick and sweet. Justin is a superstar. He communicated with me about everything and with the help of our DJay Roger, helped move the party along smoothly. Then you have Riswan. There was nothing he would not do for my family and friends. Upon arriving at Villa Russo, guests were welcomed by an antipasto platter. Super delicious and super gone quickly. Food is the perfect ice breaker. For our salad we chose the Caesar salad. The pasta course was rigatoni a la vodka. A BIG HIT with the guests. For entrees, our guests chose from Shell steak, salmon, chicken francese or eggplant rolatini. Everybody raved about the food and especially the service. If any of our guests needed anything, Justin and Riswan were super quick to respond. The truth is there is not enough space for words to really say how grateful we are to everyone at Villa Russo. From Kim literally taking us by the hand and making our vision a reality. to Justin, Riswan, Minerva and Roger, our Djay, Villa Russo AGAIN, DELIVERED a most memorable night for us all. EVERYONE felt welcomed and had a superb time. The food was fabulous. The ambience was perfect. The night, the most memorable we've had. Thank you so much to everyone at Villa Russo for making our night one to remember. We are truly grateful.
