Originally, we thought dinner would be just our family of four but ended up hosting last minute. With the three sides we ordered, we had more than enough food for four adults, and per usual our two picky eater kids still gobbled some of these delicious yummies down. While the turkey was resting, we warmed up our sides and bam- the perfect feast. Our last minute guests raved about my cooking and I was excited to explain it wasn't me! It was Cultivate Kitchen!! Cultivate definitely gets all of my thanks for making Thanksgiving day so stress free and definitely earned the hearts and stomachs of two new customers who now can't wait to order. Typically, after a day of frantically cooking and prepping for dinner I feel exhausted, overwhelmed and unable to soak in the day lol This year I went to bed smiling and laughing at what an easy and wonderful day we all had. I even woke up not regretting sayin yes to hosting. What a treat! A million thanks!

So I happened to stumble into this business while I was just browsing my Instagram. Not really…read moresearching for anything. I don't know what got me to look into C.C but I did. So I found out this is a Chef Run account. I wasn't sure what it was about and so I started a conversation. He's one of those good guys trying to make a difference in this pandemic. Just to help his small circle. I agree. Charity begins at home. It's common sense. His name is Anthony Kearney. He's currently the Sous Chef at Black Cat Bistro and Bramble and Hare. Both in Boulder. Employed. But most or some of his colleagues were laid off. So he decided to help the only way he knows best-to cook. He is also sharing his hours/days with his colleagues. But I'm guessing there's only so much of those to go around. Hence, the meal service idea.. I was very excited when I found out that he used to work for The French Laundry and The Restaurant in Meadowood. Both are Michelin starred restaurants in California. Obviously, I know both, been to both and miss both! So on to the good stuff: -$13/person/dish flat rate. With careful consideration of your food allergies or food preference as in keto, vegetarian , pescatarian etc. -its cooked meal delivered to your home -free delivery in Denver and Boulder -Monday delivery of your cooked meal with heating instructions included. Monday not your day? Talk to him. -Get your order in on a Friday every week for the following week. -you will get a personalized menu Some of you will say he's no different than Hello Fresh, Home Chef, Blue Apron, Plated and Sun Basket. That's where you're very wrong. First of he's local and so he's very much in line with helping locals first. I do use the first service occasionally when I want to take a break from cooking. There is not a sign of personal service at all. Everything is one way. Mostly theirs. If I forgot to pick something for the following week we end up with the same dishes. I also feel that we are really just an Account # etc. So a good human being with a great pedigree in the culinary world. Let's give him and his group a boost. Help them help to help themselves. How to order: by phone: 720.298.9079t By email: co.culinary.curated@gmail.com DM him on Instagram: @coloradocurated Yes I did placed an order. Yea I'm putting my foot where my mouth is. Btw it's so easy to order. Email, DM ON Instagram, text, call. I don't think he sleeps at all So Monday came. Anthony delivered 4 dishes x 2. For me and Adam. I had the following: Kori Gashi ShuiZhu Niurou Fragrant Duck So far as of review time I've tried the Fragrant Duck. Moist meat. Perfectly seasoned and is actually very generously packed. I couldn't finish my share last night. You can microwave but I didn't. I used the oven. I plated it the best I can and took photos of it. I'm in my second week and of course more of his meals to be reviewed! Promise! But here's my latest fave! It's a nod to Turkish food. With a great similarity to a flat bread and with its side kick giving an ooomph. So good! I'll tell you guys about my new fave!

I found this company after getting incredibly sick of my own home cooking in the midst of COVID-19…read more I was going to subscribe to one of the meal box services but it's surprisingly hard to find ones that are decently priced for vegetarians/pescatarians. Plus, all the reviews always complain about ingredients missing or going bad, which just gave me flashbacks to when I used to do a meal box service and had all of those problems. Lo and behold, I found the single (five-star) Yelp review for Colorado Curated, reached out and the rest is history. First off, the food is DELICIOUS. Truly, amazing. I am so thrilled with everything so far. Second, I don't know how they take our preferences into account so diligently, but they do. I even noted that I like medium spicy food and so far every dish that has a spice element that matches medium to a tee. And third, when I've tried something new that I haven't liked as much (ex: a specific wine that's added to certain Chinese dishes), I just let them know and they mark it in my no-go list for next time. I also recently had a snafu on my end where despite the mistake being completely my own, the owner made a special trip out to my house to replace some meals for me. (I insisted he did not have to or that I would at least pay him for the new meals. He insisted otherwise, which was incredibly generous and absolutely not warranted. If you're reading this, thank you again - the new meals are delicious!!) I cannot recommend Colorado Curated more highly. I will definitely be ordering from them for some time, and recommend anyone wanting to try something new do the same. PS- For anyone concerned with portion sizes, the meals typically come out to two portions each for me.

While, I mustn't tell a lie the burger that I ordered tremendously exceeded my expectations…read more Everything from the seemingly five pound burger. Tossed with all of the mouth watering toppings I was very much craving. I would recommend Burger Den to any mind that may wonder upon the thought of pursuing Burger Den for dinner any night of the week. However, the rating of 3 does not come without justification. I placed my order, via Door Dash. Taking into account the hour of night (Approximately five to seven minutes before one o'clock in the morning) you may be able to imagine the ecstatic feeling that came over me seeing that in only just six minutes I was paired with a driver. A man named Gustavo, off for another night of late night cursing. More than likely enjoying the wonderful sounds produced from the speakers jobs like this very one he was on tonight helped him pay for. About five minutes elapsed and I got the text message.. my driver had made it.. Soon, we would feast. Anxious, I sat up quickly. I noticed how long it had been. My dasher, Gustavo. Had arrived at the establishment around eight minutes after the order had been placed. Thinking back, it seems like hours passed during the wait for what would be one of the best Burgers I have ever had the opportunity too enjoy. However, when I noticed that around half of one actually had. I do what I presume any person would in this situation. I check the Door Dash Tracker and I see that my driver. Had yet to leave the restaurant. Had he decided to have a midnight snake himself? Confused, I opened the messenger future provided in the Door Dash Tracker and I sent a simple message. It read "Bruh" at which time time Gustavo quickly replied and told me something so disappointing, that I almost had to remove myself from this such disorder, and land on any cheep fast food restaurant that's open. My order, that at this point. considering the gps notification was more than likely sent while pulling his vehicle into the parking lot and the walk into the building where he's hoping that the staff would have this order in the the bag so he could quickly grab it and get on to the next endeavor. It is safe to say that my order had been successfully placed for eleven to twelve minutes. However, that is not what my friend Gustavo experienced. Quite the contrary in fact. Upon entering and being, I'm sure slightly bummed they weren't ready quite yet. But I'm sure all his hope had yet to be lost. The order might just be coming off the grill, surely he thought to himself as he approached the counter. Gustavo told me that the order in which I had placed, long long ago. Had only begun preparation following my dashers arriving. He told me of this misfortune and immediately I apologized to him. Stuck, waiting the entire grill time for my order instead of back on the road, humming along to a Don Henley verse in an old eagles tune. Loving his life and making a living at the same time... It is because of the extreme distress brought upon my friend Gustavo that this place of business is without the two stars that, had such events not had taken place (or taken place in this situation) is more than deserving of. This was my promise to Gustavo. My Brother #JusticeForGustavo !!!!!
