We…read moresuspected the fireplace might not be in tip-top shape so wanted to get it checked out before using it. ProFix was very responsive when I was inquiring about their services, they offered a competitive quote, and scheduling was very straightforward. They came out today, did the inspection, and as suspected there were a bunch of issues that made the fireplace unusable - including cracks in the fireplace, not-fire safe paint, a missing cap, flue, and a hole in the base of the fireplace that shouldn't have been there. They explained everything to us in detail, gave us a quote and got started on the work right away. Afterwards, gave us a really great walkthrough of the work and explained how to best use the fireplace moving forward. They were also respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves. Would absolutely recommend hiring them if you have any fireplace/chimney needs.

In their quote, they specifically stated that they would replace the cap with a new one. What they actually did, and admitted to in a text, was removed it, spray painted it and reinstalled it. After they admitted to not replacing it, they said they would send me options for a new one which they would come back to install. They never followed up and ghosted me instead. I feel like I got scammed, and as such, cannot recommend this company to anyone.
