I was impressed by the number of TVs, the set up and how clean everything looked. The service was ok but meals came out before we were even close to making a dent in the appetizers. That sucked. The food was ok. No one was blown away by their meals. They were just ok. My main complaint with my meal was that I ordered the buffalo chicken panini. Unfortunately it wasn't a panini - it was a sandwich. Just because you use sourdough bread doesn't make a sandwich a panini. It needs to be pressed. My sandwich had a just Bailey toasted bread that was light and fluffy - not pressed and crispy. Fix the menu please or buy a press. read more

I have visited Barrett's Alehouse in West Bridgewater several times over the years and have recommended it to friends, which makes writing this review especially disappointing. I was part of a large group that gathered at Barrett's during a 20-year high school reunion weekend to watch football. Staff were aware that additional guests would be joining throughout the afternoon and directed members of our group to sit at tables and bar seating in the outdoor tent area. Food and drink orders were taken and served without issue for quite some time. The problems began when a manager named Bianca approached members of our group and aggressively demanded payment for multiple checks. During these interactions, she repeatedly insinuated that they were not supposed to be sitting in areas where staff had directed them to sit and suggested that guests had been given bills that had not been paid or that someone had previously failed to pay a tab. To our knowledge, neither allegation was true. Rather than taking time to understand the situation or speak with staff about the seating arrangements they had approved, Bianca immediately treated customers as if they had done something wrong. Multiple members of our group witnessed her throwing checks onto tables, pointing at guests, waving her hands in people's faces, and speaking to customers in an extremely disrespectful and confrontational manner. What should have been a simple communication issue quickly escalated because of her behavior. My own experience at the outdoor bar was equally disappointing. I politely let the bartender know that I would like to place an order when she had a moment. She acknowledged me and said she would be right with me. After waiting approximately 15 to 20 minutes while watching several people who arrived after me receive service, I politely reminded her that I was still waiting. Instead of receiving an apology or assistance, I was met with a hostile response and was yelled at, including being asked, "Are you the bartender?" and told there was "a flow of the bar." When Bianca became involved, there was no effort to hear both sides, understand what had happened, or de-escalate the situation. I was simply told I would no longer be served, to which I responded that I had never actually been served in the first place. The situation became even more frustrating when the bartender, after raising her voice at me, portrayed herself as the victim crying while Bianca continued to aggressively and disrespectfully address both me and other members of my group. What should have been a manageable customer-service issue turned into a complete failure of leadership. Pending food orders for members of our group were canceled, communication was poor, and police were called despite many guests having no idea their orders had been canceled or that they were expected to leave. What left many of us most concerned was the apparent difference in how members of our group were treated compared with others. The only two white members of the group were told they could remain, while the rest of the group, all people of color, were required to leave. That disparity in treatment created a deeply uncomfortable situation and raised serious concerns that deserve review by ownership. What began as concerns about poor customer service and management decisions evolved into concerns about racial discrimination based on what many of us witnessed that day. Adding to the confusion, Bianca reportedly informed police that a large group was refusing to leave the property. To our knowledge, many members of the group had never been told to leave and were simply waiting for food and drinks that had already been ordered. The result was that multiple police officers responded to a situation that could likely have been resolved through clear communication and professional management. Because of the seriousness of what occurred, I sent a detailed written complaint directly to the owners outlining the incident and requesting a formal review of their camera footage and management training for Bianca. I hope ownership takes this matter seriously and thoroughly reviews both the actions of management and the treatment of customers that afternoon. read more

I love taking my girlfriend out for a nice lunch after work at Barrett's! We go a bit earlier before it gets busy but the staff is always friendly and service was great! What's even better is the variety of food! I haven't been to a sports bar yet that does American Asian Fusion food, and do it so well :D For the appetizer we had their new burrata dish with a berry sauce that pairs very well with it! I had the Pork Ramen, it was soooo good the broth was nice and savory and all the toppings compliment it so much. The best part besides the pork was the jammy egg, made to perfection! My lady had the twisted Mac and cheese, adding bacon to it made it even better!! A nice creamy and cheesy combo, one of my favorite places to get Mac and cheese I have yet to watch a game with my friends but I know it would be a great experience whenever I were to come back! read more

It was my first time, my wife had been before and instead of going out later why not have drinks and lunch? This place is, for lack of a better word.....perfect. From the hostess to the extra comfortable seating and huge flatscreen tvs all throughout playing some of college footballs biggest games of the day. To out 5 STAR WAITRESS PAIGE I'll say it again... Paige is amazing. Attentive, friendly and simply " just gets it " when it comes to customer service. Already looking forward to going again soon and I literally JUST left there not even an hour ago. The Santa Clause Brunch 2024 Reservations for the event opened the first week in November. It cost $5 per person for a reservation and interesting enough, you actually choose your seat location when making your reservation! Be prepared. On the day off, you pay for whatever you order. Brunch kicked off at 10am. We easily were seated and our waitress was very attentive at first. The prices are a little high for the actual portion sizes but they has some slightly interesting things on the menu. I went with a cleverly named butterscotch pancake and a size of bacon. The pancakes were $16 but the two pancakes were the size of my fists. Usually $16 pancakes are the size of the plate. So that was disappointing. I went with a sugar cookie martini (rim lined in frosting.) It was really strong! Wish the frosting wasn't as hard (I assume it wasn't freshly applied but maybe assembly lined prior to the event.) The other things happening: Santa was there and his sleigh! The Grinch appeared and bounced around to You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch! When we entered, we were given plush holiday pens and the opportunity to color an image (although our waitress did not give us crayons.) There was a hot chocolate bar with all the fixings. There was a small village set up with two animatronic reindeer (great photo opp!) Also, a huge Nutcracker Mickey mouse that moved and said a few phrases (another great photo opp!) All this was covered in the $5 admission fee and food/beverage cost. And then there's the arcade. The great thing about Barrett's arcade? It's located in it's own room so it's not as loud in the restaurant. This is a great place if you have older kids. Yeah, well... been here about five times with my bride's sister and husband who have pedestrian tastes. So... it's the company and not so much the meal. Full disclosure I'm a teetotaler with a limited diet; in part due to medical reasons and in part to being a persnickety elitist snob. West Bridgewater, the Wampanoag name for "Land of Mediocre Pub Bars". Barrett's... I will hold my sharp tongue. Try the French Onion Soup, which is not bad; however, once it was very good, once it was cold in the center (microwave?), and three times it was warm. Had the sushi once, not bad but the roll was not terribly big or robust. Skinny. I've had the Caesar Salad which is pretty good; the best thing I've had there. The Cobb Salad is good but very small - more like a side salad. Prices are reasonable. The parking is fine. Staff is good. The place is God-awful loud with TVs blasting sports and speakers blasting music. Not my cuppa, but they do a good Caesar. 3.5 Stars. read more

School vacay week kiddos were bored all day so suggested we come to Barrett's for dinner and arcade. Claudia was our waitress and fantastic! Attentive but not to much. Super friendly and great with the kids. Never had to ask twice for anything. My son and I did the .99 wings, so good! Stole some of my husband's fries and they were 10/10. (162.00 and the kicker is, I was charged for bread, extra tartar sauce and extra pasta sauce for the children's pasta that had barely any!! I recently went to Barrett's in October as I heard about their Harry Potter display and menu. I didn't hear about it until the end of October, and I guess they were hosting it all month long and did some Sunday brunches. The brunch was sold out, so a few friends and I went on a Tuesday night after work. It was surprisingly very busy, and we had a 20 minute wait, which was fine! We were seated and greeted warmly. We loved the decor and displays, some of which were very impressive. The Harry Potter cocktail and mocktail menu was so fun and I wish I could have gone back and tried more. I tried the Polyjuice Potion, which was delicious, and another friend tried Butterbeer, and she loved it. The food was pretty good. I didn't notice any HP themed foods, but I believe the brunch days they did offer some. It was definitely a unique and fun way to get people to come in! I hope they offer it again next year so I can try and experience more of the options. read more

First and foremost the service made the experience above and beyond and that was thanks to Jay! Secondly I don't know anywhere including fast food you can get a $10 lunch except now! Monday-Friday happy hour has some bomb lunch options. I went with the fried haddock burrito. I'm not a fan of fish mixed with anything as I enjoy it by itself but I still ate it all and was happy. Also the fries were super well seasoned with salt and garlic powder (I think). The apps were just as good with a weird but pleasing maple seasoned loaded tats and I ordered and mashed potatoes pizza which was like a big potato skin. I live in PA and I wanted to take my family out for a Christmas lunch. I wanted it all perfect. So I called on Wed Dec 11th to make a reservation For 7 people plus a baby for Sunday Dec 15th. at 1p.m. The Host put me on hold to speak to a "manager" I didn't think it was going to be a big deal for a rather large restaurant. She came on the phone, took my name, date and time. I asked if she needed a phone number and that wasn't necessary. I repeated the whole spiel, and she said, Thank you and look forward to it. My Fiancé and I arrived at the Ale house 10 minutes before 1. Walked in told the hostess i had a reservation, and there wasn't one. She called the first Ale House, that was 15 minutes away, and they didn't have my name either. I was very upset and had to wait for them to assemble an arrangement for 7.. Needless to say, The waitress was exceptional and the food was terrific. But the manager needs a hearing aide. On top of that, I accidently left my credit card there. I called once I got back to PA, and was put on hold "to talk to a manager". The host said she/he was busy, (again) and would return my call, and never did. I had to cancel my credit card... which is huge inconvenience, and all they had to do was mail it out to me. But I had to speak to the manager first. Does the manager call all the shots? The hosts should be able to take a reservation with out a managers help. They shouldn't have to rely on a manager decision over something simple. like a reservation! Nice place for a family dinner! Our server was busy yet attentive. The menu is a little confused and large, with no true theme, but the food we had was tasty. The bar style pizza had a great cracker-like crust and laced edges, all a surprise. I got the salmon and was impressed by the flavor/cook. We had an event at Barrett's in one of their private rooms. The room was adequate with nice setup-- linen tablecloths, coffee bar, pitchers of cold drinks, screens for running picture presentations and buffet area. The buffet food was subpar. To actually present processed chicken cut into cutlet shapes with a small mound of melted cheese on the top of two cutlets is like what you'd find when gas stations advertise chicken parm. Of course, only one person at our table got cheese on their MacDonalds nugget parm. Most of us couldn't eat it at all because it was dry and hard. The pasta dishes were mushy and bland. The microphone wasn't working and speeches were over before any help could be found. Paying for an event in a restaurant is expensive and I would have never thought to ask if the chicken parm was real cutlets. So let this be on your checklist for events anywhere. read more

This place is awesome!!!! They are fairly new to this location and I've been about 4-5 times so far. Parking lot is usually to capacity out front but there's more in the back. You can't park at Lowe's next door anymore. A barriers been put up. So you walk in and all these fantastic sports memorabilia and pictures are everywhere. Their all awesome to look at except those Yankee pics. Boooo!! Go Red Sox!! Huge rectangular bar with a ton of drinks on tap or in a bottle. They have this thing called the Mug club here too. You pay a monthly fee and get your own mug and you get a few more ounces of beer in it. There could be more perks but inquire with the bartender to know more. I've gotten the turkey club here and it was fantastic!! Real turkey too. Not that deli crap. Huge, impressive sandwich that I'll definitely be ordering again. Also their French onion soup is amazing! Big pieces of onion and cheese on top of this deliciously well seasoned soup. Burgers and fries are good also and a huge shout out to plastic squeezable ketchup bottles. Much easier than glass ones. They also have this huge game room in back with additional bathrooms and another bar but don't be an space cadet like me. It isn't manned until 6. I sat there at 5 once for 20 minuets before I was told this. You can bring your beer in here that you order at the big bar though. Huge PAC-MAN game that I'm obsessed with here. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!! The food is immaculate and the service is incredible, the ambiance is amazing too. Their boneless wings are super good totally recommend any chicken from there. This was my like 10th time going and here are some really good dine in options, Chicken (of course), pizza (I normally get the Margarita Pizza P.S. it's not on the menu right now they used to have it and when we ask the waiter/waitress for it we will get it 9/10), Mac & Cheese is really good (their buffalo mac & cheese is even better.) I totally recommend trying those food choices. Now onto the service following up with what I said earlier you can order that off menu pizza but remember not all the time, back onto track though they are extremely welcoming and comforting. Now the total off setter the ambience. Personally I love the ambience there it's never quiet and they have music playing. It's never too loud either, surprising because they have a huge arcade there with amazing prizes. I love the cool decorations and they are always seasonal!
