Delicious bagels and the house specials are to die for. The Hangover Cure is a family favorite, usually getting it with different bagels and splitting them up. The bagels are sliced in half in house, so that is very helpful. We usually go here at least twice while we're down here. This time (March 2021) the place was closed on a day and time that the website and door said they were open which was a bummer, but we were able to go later in the week. Online ordering is disabled at the time of this posting, but calling and placing the order was fast and simple. Super yummy bagels!! Stopped in here for brunch during our beach vacation this year and we will definitely be back! I got a garlic bagel with jalapeno cream cheese which was amazing! So soft and thick and delicious. Husband got one of the breakfast sandwiches and he wasn't quite as pleased. He liked it, but he preferred mine. Part of the issue was that the flavor of his bagel (rosemary) was kind of lost in the sandwich. At a place like this, with incredible bagels, I'd say let the bagel shine and just go with one of their MANY flavors of bagels and cream cheese. Wow! We are on our way home and wanted to quickly grab breakfast because of the storm and we have our dog. I looked this place up on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Excellent is the best way to put it. You can't go wrong. Excellent quality and quick service. This place is SO good, and I'm not just referring to their food. The customer service is amazing in this place; the guys are so nice! On to the menu, which is incredibly expansive and reading it just had my mouth watering. I opted for the hangover cure bagel sandwich, and WOW. Seriously so good. Stumbled upon this hidden gem while we were visiting the Outer Banks. My only regret was not finding the place sooner. Bagels all Delicious - Drawback is have to pay extra .75 cents for certain bagels like French Toast, Cin Swirl, etc. Purchased 2 Bakers Dozens and had to pay xtra for butter and cream cheese. Chalk Boards as Menu Boards a little hard to read. Need to be a little more organized - 1 girl took our order and handed off responsibility to another girl to cash us out. When we got home we found that we were shorted 3 bagels but after reading receipt we found that check out girl didn't charge us for 3 Pretzel bagels so we didn't call and complain. Wow! Great food, especially on a chilly morning. I absolutely loved the "Jersey Morning" on an onion bagel, which had Cream Cheese, Capers, Lox, Tomato & Onion and the tomato and onion were full of taste so I while I didn't ask I think they were organic. My friend from Germany had the "Hangover Cure" because it had double everything...eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese. These bagels were loaded, so full and we didn't get hungry again until mid-afternoon...mind you we are both Active Duty military and went hiking after our stop here, so it was quite filling, tasty and healthy. Cinnamon Burst bagel was INCREDIBLE. Had a ham/egg/cheese sandwich on one, and it was absolutely delicious. I am a bagel snob and this bagel gets 5 stars out of 5 from me! Was honestly shocked at how good it was-I was not expecting it to be that good! I got a smoothie as well-the Green Living Smoothie-and was not impressed. Would not recommend getting that smoothie. It wasn't the flavor or anything that was wrong-it's just that it wasn't blended like..at all. There were chunks of ice and kale and spinach in it. It needed to be blended about ten more times. But who cares, because you don't come here for the smoothies-you come to a bagel place for the bagels. And the bagel sandwich was so good that I refuse to knock off a star for the smoothie. We stopped at this bagel place twice on a recent trip to the Outer Banks. All in all, the food was good with a few disappointments. We tried a meat, egg, and cheese bagel, a maple bacon bagel, and a couple bagels with cream cheese. First off, the bagels have good flavor and just the right amount of chewiness. The meat, egg, and cheese were just like you would get anywhere else, but paired with the delicious bagel, it was a great sandwich. The maple bacon bagel was the best of the bunch. The French toast bagel was awesome and it was loaded with maple cream cheese and bacon. It was so good, I decided to get that same French toast bagel on our next trip, but I got it with mixed berry cream cheese. This was a mistake as the cream cheese had almost no berries in it and the cream cheese itself just tasted like plain cream cheese. It was still tasty, but I wish I had picked a different cream cheese. My wife had the rosemary olive oil bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese, and her cream cheese was loaded with delicious flavors. As far as the service, everyone was very friendly. For the COVID conscious, the lady at the register was wearing her mask under her chin with both her mouth and nose exposed. When there wasn't a line, she also went back to help assemble the bagels again with her mouth and nose exposed. In the end, we enjoyed our food here but have to knock a couple stars off for the disappointing berry cream cheese and the lax COVID precautions. read more
