I frequently phone in orders. The results are so inconsistent I ended up using Spanato's instead. Barro's frequently does not deliver. Either the order is wrong and the employee's act like it's your fault or the service is just. plain bad. I have used other Barro's locations and they have been good. Continuing my last year I didn't have a review of each month. For June, I have to go back 14 years to June 2011. My 599th Yelp review marks my 1st Yelp review ever on an Indian Reservation. It's on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in the Scottsdale Pavilions shopping center adjacent to the City of Scottsdale. Salt River Indian Reservation benefits from the tax dollars of people coming from neighboring Scottsdale over here. In June 2011, I was working in Scottsdale off Via de Ventura, and Barro's Pizza was a semi-common lunch option. So, it's probable I went at some point in June 2011. I always got the 2 slice option with drink, which back then was cheap. I visited AZ in 2024 (as I moved in October 2011), and we went to a different location, the price still isn't bad but a lot more than it used to be. Topping choices are limited to cheese, pepperoni, & sausage and one specialty pizza of the day. I used to always get 1 pepperoni & 1 sausage, and it was delicious, but I stopped eating pork, so Barro's is a bit less appealing to me. When we visited in 2024, it was a Friday, and I think I had BBQ chicken pizza, but it's an upcharge. Some of the days the specialty topping for the slices might not appeal to me; so check the website beforehand. Wish they would have more slice choices, like a beef and/or chicken, mushroom pizza, etc. read more

I asked if they had tried calling me because I was waiting for my order and the manager claimed that they had called me. Food is always super freshly made, with care, with enough of everything whether it be toppings on your pizza, subs, or those yummy crisp, cold salads they make! (Of course, can be a little less warm sometimes, with going through a 3rd party, especially if food isn't in an insulated bag, etc. - This evenings deliverer was exceptional, out food was still too hot to eat at first!) We enjoy lounging outside on the big patio, with alot tables/chairs to have a comfy outdoors dinner alone, with family, or with a larger group! There wasn't a long wait and the lunch menu item pizzas are ready to serve upon arrival. The location is prime, as it's right off of the highway close to other stores and restaurants. This location fell a little short for me. This Barro's location in Scottsdale was much more greasy than other Barro's Pizza locations I have eaten pizza from. I LOVE BARROS. They are consistently delicious. I get a small pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni and garlic on Phoenix Suns game nights to split with my mom at home as we watch the game (sad about 2024/2025 season though! ). Every single time the pizza is delicious and exactly like I expect it to be. The service is great too. The ambiance is exactly as you expect for a neighborhood pizza place. So, FULL DISCLOSURE, the 3-star rating was not because this establishment was bad or anything it just doesn't have any real VEGAN options on the menu. We had the large pizza with 4 toppings with white sauce and VEGAN MOZZARELLA CHEESE. I know right, absolutely awesome that ALL Barro's have VEGAN CHEESE as an option. Now, I don't if I will ever have this pizza again because naturally there are much better VEGAN establishments for pizza but in a pinch, it is nice to know that Barro's has something I can enjoy. So we are visiting our daughter that is in Scottsdale for a couple of months with her job and I drive by a Barro's pizza. My wife and I go crazy and she's like WTH [heck people, heck]. We explain that when we grew up our favorite pizza here in Hacienda Heights CA was Barros pizza and while HH Pizza Co has the most similar pizza to the old Barros, it was still nice to see a Barros. So of course we made sure that we were going to have dinner here at least one night. We got in around 45 minutes before closing so we pretty much had the place to ourselves but it was exactly what we remembered. The pizza was incredible and the wings were so good. In fact, another night we ordered wings from a "WING place" where you STOP for wings [do you like what I did there] and they were not half as good and more expensive. Have tried all the different garlic bread options and they are perfect for a quick snack or a good meal if you add a few of their delicious meatballs to the order. The salads are good, pretty much what one would expect from a pizza chain. I am super disappointed to have to post this since Barro's is a weekly lunch tradition for my family. However, after visiting this location we are unsure if we will go back. My dad asked if one of the employees could clean off one of the high chairs for my toddler because all of the high chairs stacked up were dirty. The employee ignored him and was focused on her phone. This was a little frustrating but it was even more disheartening to see this same employee talking poorly about my dad and the high chair situation to another customer. I overheard her say "oh sure, let me stop what I'm doing to clean a high chair for you". To add to the experience, our pizza was cold and when we asked if they could heat it up, we were giving another slice that was uncooked at the dough. Came to try out this restaurant while visiting the great wolf lodge since the Tucson location has always been great service and food. After 30 min we got our appetizers. 1 hour later my husband went to ask about our pizza and the lady said "I can see it in the oven now. 5 more min" then 15 min later I went up to ask again and they never even put our pizza in the oven and she said "it will be 10-15 min!" At that point my kids were crying they were hungry and we had been waiting over an hour so we asked for a refund and was told by the manager we could have a refund for our pizza and a comp. We don't even live in phoenix so it is useless. Not one apology from ladies up front until the manager came out to process our refund, he did apologize. But when we said we don't even live in phoenix for the comp it was just "oh well". Not one person even seemed to care that my family was sitting waiting for over an hour for our food. Horrible customer service. Will not return next time we come to the great wolf lodge. Huge disappointment compared to the Tucson location. read more

This is a great place to get a cheap and delicious lunch. The pizza is great and has a unique taste that sets this place apart from other pizza places. The cheese bread was just as good, if not better. The menu has several other sides and wings that looked good too, I wish we would have tried a few more, because the food we got did not disappoint. I do wish they had napkins at tables or by their soda machine, but it was not a big deal. The only reason this place is not a 5 star restaurant is because they carry Pepsi. Pizza was great! Had extended family with us. We are staying in the area. Have yet to meet a Barro's I don't love. I had a salad. Our girls had a gluten free black olive and the rest of the family enjoyed a half pepperoni, half cheese and a ham and pineapple. It is such a blessing having Barro's as their cheese and sauce really makes our girl's gluten free pizza. I am so tickled they have their own pizza and it looks just like their cousins. This is our 3rd time stopping in for dinner. My husband and I love the fresh pizza, you can tell the crust is freshly made and the toppings are fresh, not from a can. Being retired business owners 1 young lady caught my attention, Leah. What a busy gal. We ordered large Barro's specialty pizza and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked and toppings were plentiful. Even though it was pretty busy, we only waited about 30 minutes for our order to be served. WOW! It was our first time to Barros. We went to the one off Pima in the Talking Stick Shopping Mall. We were greeted by Diana. Told her it was our first time. She told it was family owned and the grandfather makes one of the beers there (we did partake ) She informed us that proceds from that particular beer goes to charity! Diana was so nice and made us feel welcome! We ordered a thin crust and made the 2 halves different, so that was great! The pizza was amazing! The beer was amazing! Diana was amazing!
