Brioni is walking distance or a 2 minute drive for me. Several times now while dinner is being made at home, I've ordered Caesar salads, garlic bread and mascarpone cheesecake for pickup. They've always had it ready and waiting when I walked in, and have been friendly and accommodating with things like extra Caesar dressing, ranch dressing, butter, etc. Their lettuce and croutons have always been fresh and their house made Caesar dressing is really delicious. The fresh garlic bread is absolutely killer, and they provide plenty of it. The cheesecake is for sure a tasty treat and they do an ample portion. Definitely recommend for an easy pickup meal or just for some sides and desert if you're in the area! read more

It's a separate kitchen from the Brioni's restaurant and the food we ordered was tasty. We had a salad with fried chicken cutlet and a Parmesan ranch dressing. It also had some chopped tomatoes, red onions and corn. The chicken cutlet was super thin probably a hair more than a quarter of an inch thick. But it was quite tasty other than needing a little salt. The server/cashier Kristin was the same one who took care of us when we went to the sitdown restaurant a week earlier. She heard us say we were going to share the salad so she brought it out to us on the patio in two separate bowls and then since they weren't busy she even came out and checked on how we were doing as if it was a sit down restaurant but it's a fast casual place where you order at the counter. Nice touches! She really is good. If you're looking for a slice of pizza on weekdays they offer it even though it's not listed anywhere on the menu boards when you walk in, not that it would've changed our order since I'm avoiding that many carbs but I think a lot of people would like to know that a slice could be ordered if they didn't already know and how could they since it's not listed on the menu board that I could see! We decided to go to a lunch spot we haven't been to before. The restaurant part was closed but next door, they have a to go area where you can still dine in. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich which was huge! It came with a side of macaroni salad which was very tasty. The sandwich was so big that it was a meal for two so I took it home and ate it as another meal. I really look forward to come back again to try their other selections. read more

Love this place but this last time customer service was sub par. Waited half hour for food after ordering, this has never been the case! Seems like they were overwhelmed with orders that lyft/Uber driver were picking up to deliver. Maybe time to just go to the other side to the fancy restaurant. We were just coming back from hang at TEMPE town lake, was very casual and wanted a great meal, and under dressed. Update: Ok just got CHECKED by the owner Matt, stating that if I loved-the food in the past how could I only give them one star. So I will bump the rating to two for the food. What Matt obviously doesn't realize is that poor customer service, leaves a bad taste in your mouth, regardless! Matt, in his reply to me wasn't interested at all in the particular's of my visit, and what was "off" about the customer service experience at all! NO I don't what a refund, I want you to correct the issue!!! This was a staffing issue, maybe you pick up an apron the next time! I have been going to here for a couple years and I the only disappointment I have had was them not having the pasta salad one night. I usually get the meatball sub but there are lots of great items on the menu. For one the pizza is delicious, if you like salads the cold chicken pasta salad is delicious, but it comes with very large slices of chicken. The pastas there are good, the sandwiches, though personally I don't like the chicken parm. I think this is a top quality restaurant and I would recommend it to anybody who asks. read more

A coworker recommended this place and I'm glad she did. This place offers solid, delicious take out. I've tried their meatball sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, and calzones. The only disappointments I've had were: no sandwich rolls one night and poor quality chicken on the sandwich. However, it was still delicious. I stopped in for lunch today after a haircut in the same plaza. I was excited for an awesome hot sub and was debating between meatball or eggplant parm. I went with the eggplant which turned out to be a major mistake. The sub was visually appealing but thats where it ended. After 2 bites I scouped all of my eggplant out and on to the plate. All I could taste was gross oil from the fryer. It was so greasy and mushy like they had it soaking in oil. It was easily the worst eggplant sub of my life. Such a waste of $11. To be clear, I ate at Pasta Brioni's To Go Café, not the main dining room. I just wanted to have a quick Caesar Salad with traditional Caesar dressing. I placed my order at the counter, paid, and then went to sit at a table. My salad was prepared and brought to me quickly. The Romaine was fresh and crisp, but the Caesar dressing was simply bland. I never have been to the adjoining 'Pasta Brioni' but 'Brioni to Go' was excellent. But went to 'Brioni to Go' several times for lunch. The people that run the cash register area are very cordial and friendly, they're always making sure that you got your order correctly and if there was something wrong, they took care of it immediately!! Where do you go when you 1) want artisan pizza, 2) don't want to pay for artisan pizza, 3) are ok with not actually having "artisan" pizza as long as it's not a goopy mess and delivery is available? This place! We are very fortunate to live about a mile away from Pasta Brioni and that they deliver decent non-commercial Italian food for a reasonable price. The food is good, for all that the word "good" encompasses. The portobello salad is actually quite tasty, and the ravioli appetizer is definitely a guilty but delicious indulgence. However, we alway crave their pizza on lazy Sundays when we don't want to cook or really make an effort to go somewhere (there is usually football watching involved). The pizza is really good - a tad greasy for my taste, but the quality is terrific for the price. For about $16, you can get a huge margherita or 4 cheese (oh my Gogonzola!) at your doorstep in an hour. Ok an hour seems like a while for one pizza, but we've already admitted to the laziness...so we suck it up and bide our time with beer. Definitely recommend a quality, small local joint like this over ANYTHING with a coupon in the Sunday paper. read more

I love the Cold Chicken Pasta Salad, so I always get that. I know, boring, but I love it. The salad tastes great every time, and it is so big it lasts me 2 meals. I have never eaten at the restaurant, but they are always super nice and fast at Brioni To Go. I can call in and order and it is ready with 10 minutes. December 2012 update on an old review.... This place used to be a solid 5 stars....I would eat here 1-2 times a week. It went downhill about 6 months ago. They pulled a double whammy....they changed the recipes, and increased the prices. I used to get the Cold Pasta Salad with Chicken, and it was so delicious that I would devour the thing in 5 minutes! I've gotten it a few times since the change, and I can't even finish it anymore. It seems like the recipes were changed in order to save some money, but the quality has really suffered. I've had a few other items that are decent, but they all seem overly greasy. On top of that, they increased the prices as much as 40% on some items. A TINY side salad with a few pieces of mixed greens and one slice of tomato...$4. I could deal with higher prices if the food was the same quality. Please change your menu back! read more

The food is good, better than most places, the pizza is really heavy on sauce and cheese, if you like that... I prefer mine a little lighter. The food isn't the issue here, the service is. They have messed up my order twice, once sending a totally different pizza, the other forgetting items. For the price, which is higher than most, you would expect better... That being said the pasta dishes I have ordered have been good and large enough to eat all week! They delivered my food but couldn't figure out my apartment gate code so I had to go down in pj's and get it... Kinda defeats the purpose to the point a bit... But overall if you want more than just pizza, order here. Negatives: they close very early, the white pizza they sent me instead of the one I ordered was disgusting... Clumps of ricotta cheese...? Positives: the capellini pomodoro is great!!! Cannoli was great, the flour-less chocolate cake not so much... Lots of vegetarian options. They really should stay open later for delivery!!! read more

I give four stars for food only. The atmosphere is low budget and old. Small decent patio on good for good weather months. That being said, the food is out of this world. If you want a sandwich, get the meatball or the grilled chicken. All pasta dishes are as good as you will find. Bread is made in house, even for the sandwiches. Oh, and by the way, 2 slices or pizza and a drink is a lunch deal for $4.50. Damn good pizza. read more

I ended up here for a quick bite and loved the service, the cute patio, and the casual atmosphere. It turns out the white pizza is great and an incredible bargain at ten bucks for a large. I have been back twice in the last couple of weeks and will make this a regular spot. This was my first time ordering from Brioni To Go. I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs. The meatballs were very hard and the servings size was just ok. I was still hungry afterwards! And the No Flour Chocolate Cake was over-priced for such a small slice. All in all I was not impressed. I will give them one more try because I want to try the Meatball Grinder! Have loved Brioni's for YEARS - the restaurant. Not so great experience at Broni's To Go this past weekend. Ordered our usual restaurant favorites - Penne a la Vodka and Eggplant Parm. Both were really unacceptable. Penne was a gooey mess - no sauciness. They did something really weird to the eggplant - apparently charred it on a grill. I can't explain how bad it was. Returned both plates next day. Desk attendant's response was, "Why didn't you call us last night?" My bad??? Subsequently called the restaurant manager to report my experience and he was solicitous and apologetic. Hope, as promised, they will take a look at process, both kitchen and customer service. NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE RESTAURANT WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN AWESOME. read more
