Stayed at the Inn for the weekend. We had our own private cottage. We had a blast. We ate at Inn both nights. Food and service were great Bartender Scott was a delight! Giving us lots of info for the area. Good drinks too.

Our room The Lincoln was spacious, clean and bright. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were there in the evening when our bed was turned down...what a treat! They accommodated my dietary restrictions (Celiac Disease) which I truly did appreciate. Breakfast was delicious and eggs made with fresh herbs from the garden and berries! The Inn features amazing mountain views and huge romantic garden grounds to explore. Sunsets on the estate's large wraparound porch were breathtaking. Our room featured a four-poster king bed, lovely period antiques, a fireplace, and a breathtaking view. The gracious, welcoming ambiance made us feel we had traveled back in time. Family members who own the estate are on site to manage visitors' experience from start to finish. Melissa ensured every aspect of our time at the Inn was magical. She shared all the special things to do in Manchester, fine dining, historical areas, shopping, and hiking. By the time we departed, we wished we had booked a longer stay. We will certainly return soon! It was delightful to find a family-run estate that delivered on its promise of excellence and even exceeded our expectations. Carolyn E

Great experience! Very eclectic, unconventional. Breathtaking mountain views…read more My family rented two vacation houses at the Wilburton for our large extended family of 25 -- I knew very little about the property before we arrived, so we were taken aback by the sprawling turn-of-the-century mansion and spectacular mountain views as we drove up the driveway. We absolutely never expected the art installations across the grounds -- including 18 x 26-foot Egyptian statues! The art and decor were eclectic and unexpected, and I found them very intriguing. It's definitely not your traditional resort, but that's what we liked about it. And the statues made for an amazing night with smores by the fire pit! The Reunion House was spacious -- we particularly enjoyed the living room, as it gave us enough room to comfortably host the other half of our family (about 25 of us) for a casual birthday party. There was plenty of seating with cozy leather sectionals and two large dining tables that seated about 8-10 people each. My daughter loved playing the piano in the living room, and the rooms downstairs with the daybeds were a great place for the kids to hang out and watch TV together. (The galley kitchen is a little small, but we were aware of this ahead of time because it was mentioned on their website.) We were there during a massive heat wave and all the air conditioners worked very well and kept us cool. Our kids loved the volley ball/badminton area steps away from our house. The outdoor pool is beautiful and it was so wonderful to be able to gather there easily with our whole family. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed looking around the mansion as well. There was so much do to in nearby Manchester -- great restaurants and shops, the bookstore is fantastic. We also enjoyed the ropes course and alpine slide at Bromley Mountain. We can't wait to return next year -- we'll be staying at one of the other properties even closer to my extended family's rental house and I'm so excited for its private balconies, jacuzzi tubs, and even more beautiful mountain views!

We had a truly incredible meal here. The waiter told us for a party of two he'd recommend 3-4…read moredishes, and not only did we more than double that, we ate and loved every bite. We got the sourdough pita, crispy chickpeas, scallop crudo, cabbage with nduja, short rib with baba, grilled squash, mushroom risotto, and finished with the tahini ice cream and strawberry/rhubard granita. The pita is an absolute must, and if I have any regret it's not ALSO getting a pizza, because those looked incredible. I think the absolute best bites of the meal, though, were the short rib and risotto, along with the tahini ice cream, which blew me away (and I didn't even expect to like it that much). I can't imagine that there's a better restaurant within 50 miles.

just reading a review of a year ago with people complaining about mosquitoes and hornets and bugs…read more I am writing this with the same complaint about mosquitoes and bugs sitting out on the porch in the restaurant when the sun starts to go down. There's really no excuse for this. Thermo CELL makes an incredibly cheap little gadget which we bring now when we're coming there that you just turn it on and sit it on the floor and it absolutely deters anything like that. I think Management should have taken that review a year ago seriously. The food was very very good the atmosphere is delightful the white staff was very nice. The other concern is that we were seated outside which we wanted and about a half an hour later a family with four children under the ages of six years old were seated right next to us almost shoulder to shoulder where the planter is and they all began screaming and running around and this was for the entire dinner. That should not be anything that should happen. If you have a situation like that where screaming children are around they should be seated at a table around the corner on the deck off by themselves. Only problem is you only have three tables outside on the deck and you could easily fit six but there should be an accommodation for some type of situation like that. When you spend about $200 for a dinner and you're completely inundated with bugs and screaming children both of which are not necessary, you are left with a bad taste in your mouth. Hopefully management will decide to address these issues as they should.

Definitely not because if you find yourself in the sweet little town of Granville, NY, you're in for a treat: Mickey and Wayne have put their heart and soul into renovating the old Granville train station into a stunning bed and breakfast, the Station House B&B. When we arrived late in the evening to check in, Mickey was there to greet us and make us feel at home. And her kindness and grace poured over into every detail: from the historic photos, to the antique tables and chairs, to the timely holiday decorations, to the abundance of mugs and tea, which were always available. For which I say thank you! Because we were traveling in a party of 8, we occupied 4 of the 5 rooms, which was fantastic because that afforded us the opportunity to glimpse each cozy space. Three of the rooms have their own bathroom, but two have a shared bathroom. For us, it was no problem since we were all family. This one minor detail is something to consider when selecting your room. Each space is unique, from the name to the decor. Every detail is thoughtfully selected and creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you're coming home each night. Although the walls were a bit thin in our room, the Ticket Office, James F and I slept like rocks, we were so comfy! But it doesn't end there. Gotta get to the breakfast part, of course! Coffee was always ready at 7AM and breakfast at 8AM each morning. Well, oftentimes breakfast was waiting for us well past 8AM because some of our group are late risers. And my god, the breakfast spread presented each morning was fantastic: tea, coffee, orange juice, pancakes, french toast, bacon, ham, pastries, yogurt, pudding, it goes on! Basically, everything to keep our bellies happy and ready for the long days ahead. Truly, what hospitality! To Mickey and Wayne: thank you for creating such a friendly and beautiful B&B! As I sit and type this back in Denver, I'm longing for that wonderful breakfast spread! It was truly a pleasure to stay at the Station House B&B.

They were great to chat with and just good down to earth people. We stated in the Freight Office. What a lovely spacious room and the bathroom was massive. There was a wide variety of food and everything was made to perfection. I honestly felt like when I used to go to my grandmas house...lots and lots of home cooked goodness! We totally can't wait to come back again. Love the place and owners!
