Went on a Thursday. Arrived early with reservations. Asked about getting a table early. Was told to come back at time of reservation. Ok. No harm in asking. Came back for the 8pm res, and had to wait an additional 30 mins. We chose to wait in the bar area. We both had a non-alcoholic speciality drink (why is this such a rare thing, especially in Vegas?!?). $30 for 2 fruit drinks. They ended up seating us in the bar area. Not our first choice, but it is what was available. The bread service was awesome. The oysters were awesome! Tartar, was ok. Only ate a couple bites and didn't finish it. There was nothing wrong with it, it just didn't hit right. Our server noticed i didn't finish it and asked about it. Never had that happen before. For our mains, I had the salmon and the so had the filet. The filet was amazing! When we got the bill, our server removed the tartar! When asked about it, we were told this is what a good restaurant should do. We were so happy we returned Monday. This time, we were seated 5 mins after our 8pm reservation time. I had the lobster. It was a HUGE lobster tail. Easily 2+ lbs! One of the best I've had. Food was amazing. However, the price tag matched the high end experience. Written by my husband: My wife and I chose this restaurant for our wedding dinner after reading so many glowing reviews. As Las Vegas locals who enjoy trying many of the city's high end steakhouses, we were genuinely excited. Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've ever had. We arrived still dressed in our wedding attire with our family and were seated around 8:30-8:45 PM. There were six of us. The service quickly went downhill. One person at our table received their entrée nearly an hour before everyone else, so the rest of us simply sat there and watched them eat. Then, almost an hour later, the rest of our food finally arrived around 10:30 PM, only about 30 minutes before closing. By that point, the restaurant was nearly empty. The lack of attention to detail was just as surprising. Two people at our table ordered iced tea, and when the server came to refill their drinks, Pepsi was poured into the glasses instead. I ordered a Coke Zero that never arrived despite asking for it, and I also ordered chimichurri for my steak, but the steak was served without it. My wife has a gluten allergy, which we specifically noted on our reservation. She ordered a salad and asked for no crispy shallots because they contain gluten. Despite that, the salad still arrived with crispy shallots. At a restaurant of this caliber, especially when dietary restrictions are provided in advance, I expected much more care. The service became concerning enough that I had to speak with management. While our food eventually came out, it was so late that most of us boxed it up rather than enjoying the meal together. Spending nearly $1,000 on what was supposed to be our wedding dinner only to leave frustrated and disappointed is something I never expected. What hurts the most is that this wasn't just another dinner. It was our wedding celebration. Not a single employee acknowledged that we had just gotten married. No "Congratulations," no small gesture, nothing. Considering we were still wearing our wedding attire, it made the experience feel even more impersonal. Reading all of the positive reviews now honestly makes me sad because they played a big part in our decision to celebrate here. Food: we ordered Philly cheesesteak egg rolls for appetizer, an 8 ounce filet mignon, braised short rib ravioli, Ceasar salad, corn elote, spicy string beans and mash potatoes. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious! This one stole the show for me. The 8 ounce filet mignon looked different from other steakhouses we've had. It honestly looked disappointing. It looks like an 8 ounce from Norms restaurant. Not worth the price tag. Short rib ravioli was okay, nothing special about it. I wasn't sure what to taste, is it the truffle that's in there or just some cream sauce. I wouldn't order it again. Ceasar salad was meh, again, nothing special. The salad was drenched in dressing, croutons tasted like they came from the grocery store. Sides: the corn elote and spicy string beans--nothing stood out. The string beans were overcooked. The taste was just spicy and nothing else. Dessert: banana toffee butter cake (forgot the entire name) but this was delicious! Ambiance: really pretty inside, I would go back for the vibes but not so much for the food, maybe for the dessert. Service: outstanding service. Although I was confused because we had several servers it seemed like; one to take our order, one to serve our drinks and one to bring out the food. It was great but felt unnecessary. Another exceptional dining experience at Barry's! This time, we got the following: lobster bisque- creamy, rich, and full of lobster chunks- and so good that we got extra bread to sop up every drop. Wedge salad- full of flavor and fresh ingredients. It's a large portion, and they are happy to serve it chopped so it's not so unwieldy. Short rib ravioli- maybe our favorite dish of the night! It is amazing- the sauce, cheese, pasta, and tender short rib integrate so well and every bite was incredible. Rib cap- we got it medium rare and were extremely happy with it. They sliced it so we could share. Just the right char, tender, flavorful and juicy. Lobster truffle risotto- another mind blowing dish. Creamy, cheesy, and so many good chunks of lobster. The truffle flavor was delicious without being overwhelming. Cinnamon bun with ice cream- we were literally fighting to get bites of this amazing dessert! The ambiance was beautiful and we loved the dj! It added to the experience but wasn't so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. Michelle was our server and she was top notch. I have been raving about this salad ever since I had the first bite. So buttery so fresh and crisp. It was a crab saladwirh avocado and green goddess dressing and it wasn't that bad of a price. I've paid more for a crab Louis salad in the Bay area, so to be at this establishment now.... Honestly, I had it as my entree. It could be shared as an appetizer, or you know, but no complaints. Overall: Barry's Downtown Prime is the perfect place to go for good vibes on a date or classy night out. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service is good. Food: 4 Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls: This was a fun little bite and came with a nice tomatoey sauce that balanced the richness/saltiness of the egg roll. Salmon: I ordered it medium rare. It was closer to medium but was not dry and had nice crispy skin. The potato cake that came with it wasn't super crispy but tasted good when eaten with everything else. Scallops & Bacon: The scallop was well cooked and made a nice (albeit slightly salty) bite when eaten with the toppings and garnishes. Sides: The asparagus and lobster mac & cheese were both delicious. The asparagus was well cooked with a balsamic glaze that balanced the saltiness of it well. The lobster mac & cheese came with a generous amount of lobster mixed with well cooked pasta. Service: 4.5 Our waiter was attentive without being annoying. He noticed some things that went wrong without us having to bring it up and corrected them immediately. We came here for our anniversary, and note that parking is not free here, but it was all worth it. The service here was impeccable. Britney took care of us all night, and Billy and Dilan came by to make sure we were enjoying our dinner and their customer service was 100. We ordered dirty martinis with bleu cheese olives - very good btw, the complimentary bread basket was so good - one was like a cheesy sourdough roll, and the other one was like a light pizza foccacia. We ordered the Steak TarTare (yummm and it comes with toasted slices of bread), the Real "Garbage" Salad (light on dressing and it was still slightly salty, but still a great salad, plus they split it for us), the Rib Cap (cooked perfectly med rare, plus they cut it for us into 6 pieces), and then a side of Japanese Sweet Potato (we loved it). Haven't been to downtown in forever. We've normally just stayed around The Strip for the last 30 years, but we wanted to try a different steakhouse which made us venture off to downtown. Barry's is located inside the Circa Hotel & Casino. Keep in mind that the casino charges for parking and the restaurant does not validate. The place was busy for a Sunday night. Had to wait around for our table to be ready. Ambiance was loud just like any other steakhouse, which we totally didn't mind. Our server Daniel was very nice. Our go-to is always the ribeye but we also wanted to try the wet filet, so we ordered both! Two completely different experiences. Two completely great steaks! Complimentary bread is always a plus! We finally made it to Barry's downtown prime located inside the Circa Casino. The restaurant is hidden, but not hard to find. If you can find the giant illuminated Vegas Vickie sign just look down and you will see the steakhouse. It's on the level right below Vegas Vickie's bar. Just a tip. They will not see you until your entire party is there The restaurant is comprised of several dimly lit rooms. The ambience is that of a 1960s or 1970s Vegas steakhouse Our waiter was very nice and constantly checked on us. We had some great conversations with him. He was surprised to learn that we were locals. The salads and sides are very large, large enough to split. So we started with the wedge salad and split it. It was delicious. Surprisingly it was a ranch dressing, but you can barely tell. For my meal, I had the 8 ounce fillet which was cooked to perfection. I had the béarnaise sauce on the side, which was delicious. My spouse had the 20 ounce bison steak. He was not able to finish it, but put a large dent in it. He loved it. We split the twice baked truffle baked potato. It was heaven. What a high end establishment this is! I went with a group of fellow business folk and we were pretty eager to see if our high expectations were met or not. The restaurant itself is classy, you feel like a million bucks just being in there (not so much after you get the bill!) The sides, the salad all were delicious and high quality. Hands down in the top 3 mac and cheeses I've ever had. The potatoes were near perfect. Wow! This place really surprised us. The service was wonderful. We went to the casino for some gambling and drinks, but ended up winning more than the slots when we found this restaurant to eat. The quality of the food is so good. It was also our friend's bday and they did all the extras to make it special. Updated review! TL:DR - Barry's still shines as an amazing off strip steakhouse! Definitely make a reservation; they are very easy to make online. Unfortunately, Circa still charges an insane amount ($20-25) to park in their "garage mahal" which sounds fancy but is just a garage. Service is always impeccable, and it was no different on our last visit just before Christmas. Ask for seating in one of their large booths with high backs for a true feeling of exclusivity. If they have the pretzel bread as one of their daily specials, I highly recommend it! You will get complimentary bread for the table which is very good, but the pretzel bread is amazing soft and fluffy and worth the extra cost!! We tried the lobster pierogi starter last time which was actually quite good. I liked the crunchy exterior and fluffy filling. We usually get their Caesar salad which is decent although not amazing. We also tried the spring rolls as a starter on this recent visit which was an amazingly good choice with a light and crispy shell and a tasty vegetarian filling. I usually get the filet as an entree, and I have never been disappointed! We have tried a variety of sides also but keep coming back to the tater tots which are perfectly crispy with a fluffy potato filling. I highly recommend the bananas foster table side dessert which is truly delicious with a great show stopper table side presentation. Unfortunately on our recent visit the person who usually does the table side presentation was not there. Elegance at its finest. I am a true believer of you get what you pay for. While the steakhouse is a little on the pricey side, it is well worth it. Barry's Downtown Prime is located inside of the Circa hotel. This hotel is 21 and up only. ID's are shown at the door. We checked in with the hostess and were whisked away to our seat. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Very elegant. The cocktails are extremely delicious and made exquisitely. I had the rising sun and it was exactly what I needed. All you need is one! The food was top notch and the presentation took it to a higher level. The desserts were just as incredible. To our surprise, the owner Barry came by to our table and introduced himself. In my search for an excellent Espresso Martini, I sat at the bar inside Barry's and the Bartender did not disappoint. Well shaken and served ice cold with a depth of flavor that was perfectly tasty- just what Momma wanted. I sat entertained as the bar staff remained consistently busy. Our waiter was amazing. When asked if we were celebrating and I mentioned I just got promoted so he brought over a couple glasses of prosecco while we looked over the menus. The wagyu was the star of the dinner by far, I cannot recommend it enough, second best would be a tie between their creme brûlée dessert and the tartare. We didnt know how large the sides were, so definitely consider sharing! The twice baked potato could easily be split between two people. The Brussels sprouts were overly salty, so I didn't eat more than two (on the chance that maybe one got a bit more of the salt than others). The pretzel bites weren't as good as I thought they'd be and they forgot the cheese sauce that we ordered with it. So let's start with how amazing friendly they were from the start. We are locals but were with visitors so figured why not give a classic a try. I'm so mad I didn't try it before. One of the best steaks I've had in town. Shout out to Michelle P. Our surver: she was attentive, on top of it and polite. We were sat on the later end of service ( 8:45) and she was still on it Barry's if you're reading, she's a class act and deserves kudos. Ok so food wise- Seafood tower- just yes , 200% yes. Oysters were ok but the crab and lobster were amazing. Bread- complimentary bread service- good salty dinner rolls as well as focaccia with marinara . Our big back asses ate the basket and asked for an another one but half filled lol. There was no fancy whipped butter with the stamp in it, the but the regular whipped butter was way more than enough. Mains- we split the Australian wagyu at the rec of our server ( not disappointed in the least) we had already had quite few cocktails after spending time in the legacy club. Absolutely stellar dining experience at Barry's Downtown Prime. We were staying at the Circa so we decided to make a reservation at their fine dining restaurant and we left very happy in all aspects. Service was so great especially considering we were a party of twelve. The drinks were also stiff and delicious. I ordered about four Background Noise tequila cocktails because it was such a good cocktail!!! Loved the table side old fashioned presentation by the bartender so I highly recommend this experience. Appetizers we tried included the Philly cheesesteak rolls, mixed green salad and the braised short rib ravioli. The cheesesteak rolls remind me of the avocado rolls at cheesesteak so I preferred the other appetizers. The salad was perfectly sweet topped with spicy walnuts, butternut squash, apples, beets and dried cranberries. Absolutely divine way to prepare our palates for the meat. The braised short rib ravioli was so savory and al dente; it was the table's favorite appetizer. As for the entrees everyone tried the filet mignon and my BIL tried their 14 ounce dry aged ribeye steak. All the meat was prepared just how we ordered it and was absolutely amazing!!! Juicy, buttery and succulent steaks. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had in my Life. As for the sides we had no complaints. We ordered several loaded baked potatoes, broccolini, roasted baby carrots, stuffed shrimp and whipped potatoes. All of the sides were high quality veggies and the shrimp was such a unique recipe. I wish I could recreate the delicious recipe especially the batter. Someone ordered the shrimp fettuccine and were satisfied with their pasta which is was no surprise considering the flavors of the braised short rib raviolis. To end our meal we tried their baked Alaska. Huge slice of super soft cake topped with browned meringue. Deliciously sweet way to end such a great dinner. Aurgh! We came back and it was a horrible experience. Rib cap came out cold. We let the server know and they microwaved our plate instead of making it new. It also didn't taste or look like rib cap. This is my first time here! The restaurant is located in Circa in due town Las Vegas. It's pretty dark in here. For my first drink (non-alcoholic), I'm having the James and the Giant. This is made with Lyer's Highland Scotch, peach syrup, lime juice and ginger beer. It's served in a copper mug. This isn't bad. I miss the real Scotch. Still, it's nice! First comes the bread. This bread is good! For my first food item, I'm having the Vegan Tomato Soup made with extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil. This is good stuff! It's the best tomato soup I've ever had! For my salad, I'm having Caesar Salad. This is very good! It's quite easy to eat! For my appetizer, I'm having the Roasted Beet Carpaccio made with baby arugula, pickled red onion, toasted pine nuts and a preserved lemon vinaigrette. Wow! What a dish! I love the dressing! Look the height on this dish! For my entree, I'm having the Vegan Truffle Meatloaf which comes with a baked potato, sweet onion hash, mushroom gravy and fresh, sliced truffles. This was my first ever vegetarian (vegan to boot!) meal and no alcohol. Ok except for the dessert. I love the gravy! Nice garish. The baked potato is smashed on the bottom (it's hard to see). It has a unique taste! This looks like (and has similar texture to) meatloaf! I would recommend it to anyone to give it a try! For dessert, we are trying the Baked Alaska. What a show! Off the charts amazing dinner! We had such an amazing time at Barry's! Everything was delicious, even the complimentary bread. Our waiter, Charles, did such an awesome job explaining the menu. We ordered items we wouldn't have normally picked because he made them sound so great. He was right. We started with the rock shrimp appetizer. It is like calamari but with shrimp. So delicious! We then split an onion soup and the beet salad. Absolutely amazing. Then we shared the rib cap, lobster Mac and cheese, and green beans. Everything was perfect. The green beans were too spicy for me, but my husband loved them. The lobster Mac had large chunks of lobster. So yummy! We had the sticky toffee butter cake for dessert. Went on a Saturday night, 6:30pm. Even though we had to wait about 15 minutes after our reservation time for a table, the service, food, and vibe was excellent. The place is hip and we loved what the DJ was spinning. I believe Ben was our server and was very friendly and attentive. The street corn, tater tots, and whipped potatoes were delicious. The dry aged boneless ribeye steaks were prepared exactly as ordered (medium plus) and tasted excellent. Finally, the banana cream pie dessert was a great way to cap off the dinner. We did not have a reservation and it was quiet at 5.30 for a mid week dinner with a 5 minute waite. The menu did not show gluten free option online however when I ask for a suggestion she said they can make almost anything on the menu accommodating for me. They also brought me a warm gluten free pizza roll which was fresh from the oven just for me from the bakery up stairs. My flower power cocktail was truly powerfully strong don julio but lightly sweet with the hibiscus honey. My perfectly cooked on the outside beautifully rare wet aged filet mignon was buttery melt in your mouth soft. No sauce needed. Also had a side of Japanese sweet potato without the glaze was a unique side dish that I had never tried before. We sat and talked and the staff refilled our water and offered to refill our drinks as well but were not pushy to free up our table. By the time we left at 8.30 it was packed and there was a line of people waiting. It was getting a little loud by the bar and sound does echo. A lot of staring at a computer screen and looking around at everything other than the people waiting to be seated or spoken too. I was a single diner. I got the wagyu burger and fries. Food was good. Burger was VERY heavy. Can't say I noticed anything special with it being wagyu, but it was still good. Fries were also good. Ran into a little snafu at the end of the meal when I couldn't put the meal on my room. My boyfriend was out with his guy friends and I had just arrived. Since I was only listed on our room as a listed guest, I couldn't charge the meal. I asked "what if my boyfriend texts you a photo of his ID? What if he calls you?" "No sorry, we can't accept that." I didn't run up a big tab - it was a burger and a soda. I had to show my ID at Check in to get my room key, so I was clearly a "real" guest and my boyfriend clearly authorized me to access the room - and the rest of the casino/hotel. I love steak and I've been to a lot of steakhouses in Las Vegas and Barry's sits near the top. Ambiance, service and the food are something that will keep us coming back. We ordered the lobster bisque and Philly egg rolls for appetizers and they were delicious. A thing to note is that the sides are shareable size. So for the table we ordered lobster mac n cheese, Japanese sweet potatoes, whipped potatoes, cream corn and twice baked potatoes (party of 5). I had the Barry's steak and it was flavorful and tender. Seated at appropriate reservation time. Service was excellent throughout the evening. Started out with the oysters which were nicely presented. Had to ask for horseradish. Rib cap steak was perfectly prepared. Filet was good. Lobster mac & cheese was excellent. Overall would give it at 4.5. Everything was good, but just not anything that blew me away. read more

Food is just incredible. Tasmanian Wagyu is one of my favorites from traveling the world. I had the Tasmanian strip medium rare and a loaded baked potato at the bar. No crunchy crust but otherwise the steak was perfect and absolutely delicious. Loaded baked potato was also perfect, light and fluffy. Bar service is great. read more

Visited 2 year ago. Very bad experience, sick for days after eating there. Questionable food. Was revisiting Circa, had a food credit so decided to give it another go. Treated much better this time, server Daniel was superb. Seated properly and felt comfortable. Ordered Rock Shrimp for app, $34 for basically popcorn shrimp and 2 sauces but they were tasty, Surf and Turf for dinner, $94, this was a mixed bag, 2 4 oz filet steaks which were amazing and delicious, loved them, however, the lobster that came with it, were 2 very small thin slices of lobster, (not even a small tail) and they were overcooked, dry and rubbery, almost impossible to eat. Really bad. WOW. For $94 they should know how to cook lobster, or don't serve it. (Had a bad issue with their Luke warm Lobster Bisque the 1st time around, hmm, curious about this?). The side Green Beans sautéed in garlic and butter, huge portion, very good, but if you don't like garlic, do not order them, because besides being cooked, in it, it was covered all over the top with minced garlic. Delicious but you'd better love garlic!! All in all, I enjoyed the meal, but the total cost for 1 person with a healthy tip for Daniel's excellent service was $225.00. That's just too much, for basically popcorn shrimp with 2 sauces, 2 4 oz filets, and that poor lobster meat, and some green beans!! Yes, it's Vegas, I know. And yes Circa thinks of itself as a 5 star resort. SEE MY CIRCA REVIEW, it isn't!! Not by far. Now a lot of the You Tubers praise this place, I guess so, as the majority get things for FREE..maybe I would too? But I paid for this myself, out of my pocket with no freebies and NO sponsorship (another scam). So, I'm speaking from the heart. As far as this visit as compared to my first, it was better, for sure, I gave it a 2 then, today it gets a 3. Would I recommend, well, it's up to you. Their pricing is high end, there really many other locations, including one at the ONLY 5 star resort on the Strip and I ate at their Steakhouse for the same amount of $$$ and it was def a 5. With a 12 oz filet, beautifully cooked, short rib ravioli for an app and potatoes au gratin served beautifully. And a free pretzel bread service to die for!!. Barry's and Circa try to take advantage of the poor location. (Downtown Fremont Street, a dive area and unsafe) and mark up everything to those who want to stay/eat there. Well, good for them, I am 2 and done, I won't be returning. As I mentioned there are a dozen places on the Strip with food as good, or even better for the same, and sometimes even less, so don't be coerced. Do research before you jump. It's your money for sure, do what you like but after giving them another chance, it's time to move onto greener pastures. Thanks to Daniel for superb service, he was great, I must say it. But otherwise, I'll pass on Barry's in future visits. There are far better options to explore. read more

Barry's was stop #2 on the Tomahawk touhr. Service is always top notch. What we got: This time - I started with a martini - they call them classic's for a reason. This one was perfectly executed. Now - on to the main eating portion of this night: We started with Bone marrow ($29), but also got the egg rolls ($22) for appetizers; The tomahawk was 46 oz ($289), and our sides were creamed spinach ($18), and Mac n Cheese ($18). The Tomahawk was not carved table side, but was beautifully presented. I found no fault in the cook or flavor - all impeccable. The bone marrow was probably one of my favorites - it had alot of marrow and it was served with perfect small toast points. While the mac and cheese was good, I did feel like it needed a little more sauce as it ate dry. However, the creamed spinach was definitely a favorite. good spinach ratio to cream and excellent flavor. On this trip we washed our food down with a beautiful 2004 cabernet from Julie Husic wines. Of note - having been here so many times it will always be a favorite. I'm looking forward to the next visit! read more

I would give Barry's Downtown Prime about a 2.5 out of 5 stars. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service was fine, but the food was just okay. For the price point, I expected something much more memorable. The appetizers were decent, but nothing really stood out or felt special. The main course was good enough, but there wasn't anything that made me think, "Wow, I need to come back for this." Overall, everything was acceptable, but nothing was over-the-top or spectacular. To top it off, I gave my server my Club One card and was told my points would be added to my account. After checking later, I found that the points were never credited. It may seem like a small thing, but when you're spending money at a property that offers rewards, you expect that part of the experience to be handled correctly. Overall, the food was average, the experience didn't live up to expectations, and the issue with my Club One points left me disappointed. Oh and I forgot to mention after the meal I also felt unusually gassy and bloated, which only added to my disappointment with the overall dining experience. read more

Went here for dinner 2 weeks ago while in Las Vegas This restaurant is located inside the Circa Hotel. It is easy to find when getting dropped off, and the entrance is charming when taking the elevator down to the restaurant. When we arrived, the host was welcoming. The restaurant was busy, and the noise level was average. Our server was friendly and attentive, giving us great suggestions off the menu. The drinks were good. Let's say it was worth the stop if you are in Vegas. - Crispy Calamari - short rib ravioli - gnocchi - Bananas Foster - wet-aged rib cap - asparagus - sticky toffee butter cake - tequila manhattan - fields forever Aldo shot out to whoever did the playlist. Really feel the influencers hyped this place up. I came here with high expectations, and left underwhelmed. The pluses...service was amazing! Very attentive and the location is a vibe. Very old school steak house feels but slightly modern. The food... Ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. This was not cheesy and very few lobster pieces. Presentation was great! Served in a lobster shell but definitely not worth the price. The filet served Oscar style. It was cooked perfectly, the crab cake was good. And overall a solid dish. The seared scallops with cauliflower mash - fantastic! Perfectly cooked and was my favorite entree there! For sides and starters we ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls (these were ok, but light on the filling), the calamari (this was soggy and a hard pass), and finally the truffle fries. Perfectly cooked crinkle fries seasoned well! Must order. For dessert we got the toffee cake. This was fantastic! A must order and the overall highlight of the night! What a top notch downtown experience to be had! Passed by the menu on the way to the pool and the lobster pierogis caught our eye then later our tongues! Such good quality food also got the seafood tower and it was delicious especially the claws and oysters but I wish there would be more oysters than the calamari/octopus salad - just a personal preference. Or have oysters alone on the menu. Either way we loved the salad and the steak and will be back! Also - it may sound strange but the tater tots are the way to go for sides! read more
