Lobster truffle risotto and rib cap
    Monica D.

Another exceptional dining experience at Barry's! This time, we got the following: lobster bisque- creamy, rich, and full of lobster chunks- and so good that we got extra bread to sop up every drop. Wedge salad- full of flavor and fresh ingredients. It's a large portion, and they are happy to serve it chopped so it's not so unwieldy. Short rib ravioli- maybe our favorite dish of the night! It is amazing- the sauce, cheese, pasta, and tender short rib integrate so well and every bite was incredible. Rib cap- we got it medium rare and were extremely happy with it. They sliced it so we could share. Just the right char, tender, flavorful and juicy. Lobster truffle risotto- another mind blowing dish. Creamy, cheesy, and so many good chunks of lobster. The truffle flavor was delicious without being overwhelming. Cinnamon bun with ice cream- we were literally fighting to get bites of this amazing dessert! The ambiance was beautiful and we loved the dj! It added to the experience but wasn't so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. Michelle was our server and she was top notch. Professional, friendly, great recommendations, and attentive without being intrusive. The only thing we disliked was the old fashioned (not the tableside service). Something tasted off with it. The rest of our cocktails were great. Of course, this is a spendy experience, but well worth it!

The BEST SALAD EVER Crab Salad Butter lettuce with avocado and green goddess dressing.

Chile! Everything about my experience here was awesome! The setting. The servers. The sommelier who suggested a delicious crisp sparkling wine...chef's kiss! I have been raving about this salad ever since I had the first bite. So buttery so fresh and crisp. It was a crab saladwirh avocado and green goddess dressing and it wasn't that bad of a price. I've paid more for a crab Louis salad in the Bay area, so to be at this establishment now.... Honestly, I had it as my entree. It could be shared as an appetizer, or you know, but no complaints. I also tried my cousin's asparagus....yummmy and smokey. I will definitely return. In my dreams...I would hop on a flight to eat the salad!

Overall: Barry's Downtown Prime is the perfect place to go for good vibes on a date or classy night out. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service is good. Food: 4 Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls: This was a fun little bite and came with a nice tomatoey sauce that balanced the richness/saltiness of the egg roll. Salmon: I ordered it medium rare. It was closer to medium but was not dry and had nice crispy skin. The potato cake that came with it wasn't super crispy but tasted good when eaten with everything else. Scallops & Bacon: The scallop was well cooked and made a nice (albeit slightly salty) bite when eaten with the toppings and garnishes. Sides: The asparagus and lobster mac & cheese were both delicious. The asparagus was well cooked with a balsamic glaze that balanced the saltiness of it well. The lobster mac & cheese came with a generous amount of lobster mixed with well cooked pasta. Service: 4.5 Our waiter was attentive without being annoying. He noticed some things that went wrong without us having to bring it up and corrected them immediately. Our waiter was 5/5, but I had to take away 0.5 stars for mistakes made by the kitchen (sending out our sides before mains etc). Ambiance: 5 The restaurant is located below the casino within the Circa Casino. It was beautiful and a good hybrid of modern and old school.

We came here for our anniversary, and note that parking is not free here, but it was all worth it. The service here was impeccable. Britney took care of us all night, and Billy and Dilan came by to make sure we were enjoying our dinner and their customer service was 100. We ordered dirty martinis with bleu cheese olives - very good btw, the complimentary bread basket was so good - one was like a cheesy sourdough roll, and the other one was like a light pizza foccacia. We ordered the Steak TarTare (yummm and it comes with toasted slices of bread), the Real "Garbage" Salad (light on dressing and it was still slightly salty, but still a great salad, plus they split it for us), the Rib Cap (cooked perfectly med rare, plus they cut it for us into 6 pieces), and then a side of Japanese Sweet Potato (we loved it). Then we ended the meal with their famous Sticky Toffee Butter Cake (wow, and you can share with at least 3 people, maybe 4)! It was an amazing dining experience and the restaurant is just so beautiful. I will be coming back for sure!

My fiance took me here for my birthday The place was busy we had a reservation and still had about a ten minute wait. The food was delicious. I ordered filet and lobster. We also had the mashed potatoes which were amazing and Brussel sprouts that were too salty (they did take them off our bill). The experience was festive and we decided h the is might be our celebration spot!

Haven't been to downtown in forever. We've normally just stayed around The Strip for the last 30 years, but we wanted to try a different steakhouse which made us venture off to downtown. Barry's is located inside the Circa Hotel & Casino. Keep in mind that the casino charges for parking and the restaurant does not validate. The place was busy for a Sunday night. Had to wait around for our table to be ready. Ambiance was loud just like any other steakhouse, which we totally didn't mind. Our server Daniel was very nice. Our go-to is always the ribeye but we also wanted to try the wet filet, so we ordered both! Two completely different experiences. Two completely great steaks! Complimentary bread is always a plus! Started with a Caesar salad (nothing special), and paired the steaks with an order of creamed spinach. We were too full to have dessert. All in all, food was great.

Service was exceptional. The food was cooked perfectly. Lobster pierogies were very good however they didn't taste anything like lobster. Lobster Mac and cheese had huge chunks of lobster in it and was really good. The place itself is a lot bigger than it appears and overall it's the perfect spot for a nice intimate dinner. We finally made it to Barry's downtown prime located inside the Circa Casino. The restaurant is hidden, but not hard to find. If you can find the giant illuminated Vegas Vickie sign just look down and you will see the steakhouse. It's on the level right below Vegas Vickie's bar. Just a tip. They will not see you until your entire party is there The restaurant is comprised of several dimly lit rooms. The ambience is that of a 1960s or 1970s Vegas steakhouse Our waiter was very nice and constantly checked on us. We had some great conversations with him. He was surprised to learn that we were locals. The salads and sides are very large, large enough to split. So we started with the wedge salad and split it. It was delicious. Surprisingly it was a ranch dressing, but you can barely tell. For my meal, I had the 8 ounce fillet which was cooked to perfection. I had the béarnaise sauce on the side, which was delicious. My spouse had the 20 ounce bison steak. He was not able to finish it, but put a large dent in it. He loved it. We split the twice baked truffle baked potato. It was heaven. The manager surprised us with dessert for our anniversary. We had the cannoli with pistachio ice cream. It was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Overall, it was a five star experience and I would definitely be back

What a high end establishment this is! I went with a group of fellow business folk and we were pretty eager to see if our high expectations were met or not. The restaurant itself is classy, you feel like a million bucks just being in there (not so much after you get the bill!) We had a limited selection because of the large group but here is the result of my experience.... The Service was presented by seasoned professionals and it showed. The sides, the salad all were delicious and high quality. Hands down in the top 3 mac and cheeses I've ever had. The potatoes were near perfect. Surprisingly the star of the show which was the ribeye left something to be desired. It was presented well and the beef seemed quality but in my eyes Longhorn steakhouses ribeye ranked higher in taste than this one....i couldn't figure it out. The experience was once in a lifetime and I'm happy i got to try Barrys. It's consistently spoken about.

Wow! This place really surprised us. The service was wonderful. We went to the casino for some gambling and drinks, but ended up winning more than the slots when we found this restaurant to eat. The quality of the food is so good. It was also our friend's bday and they did all the extras to make it special. All the food we tried I would recommend: the cheesesteak egg rolls, beet salad, shrimp cocktail, lobster mac, and filet mignon. Lastly the ambiance is super sexy with great DJ playing good vibration music. It is a very nice upscale place but didn't feel pretentious or stuffy.

Had our anniversary dinner at Barry, what a great restaurant. The staff and our waiter were excellent and the food was incredible. We shared the 20oz Bison Ribeye...it was cooked to perfection and the Cesar salad was on point. Will definitely be coming back. Philly cheesesteak egg rolls for an appetizer were also insanely good. Ambience was great, not too stuffy, everyone in there seemed to be having a great time.

Updated review! TL:DR - Barry's still shines as an amazing off strip steakhouse! Definitely make a reservation; they are very easy to make online. Unfortunately, Circa still charges an insane amount ($20-25) to park in their "garage mahal" which sounds fancy but is just a garage. Service is always impeccable, and it was no different on our last visit just before Christmas. Ask for seating in one of their large booths with high backs for a true feeling of exclusivity. If they have the pretzel bread as one of their daily specials, I highly recommend it! You will get complimentary bread for the table which is very good, but the pretzel bread is amazing soft and fluffy and worth the extra cost!! We tried the lobster pierogi starter last time which was actually quite good. I liked the crunchy exterior and fluffy filling. We usually get their Caesar salad which is decent although not amazing. We also tried the spring rolls as a starter on this recent visit which was an amazingly good choice with a light and crispy shell and a tasty vegetarian filling. I usually get the filet as an entree, and I have never been disappointed! We have tried a variety of sides also but keep coming back to the tater tots which are perfectly crispy with a fluffy potato filling. I highly recommend the bananas foster table side dessert which is truly delicious with a great show stopper table side presentation. Unfortunately on our recent visit the person who usually does the table side presentation was not there. We got the baked Alaska instead which is still very good and has a small extra touch where they light in on fire at the table. I continue to highly recommend Barry's for an amazing meal!

Had a private dinner there for my birthday and it was a night to remember: the food fell nothing short of amazing. Our server went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our party. It's pretty dim in there and very romantic.

    What is the corkage fee?

Good evening, to complement our wine list, there is a $50 corkage fee per 750 ml wine bottle (for wines not represented on our wine list) with a 2 bottle maximum per table.

Do they have a DJ on Friday nights? If so, what kind of music and how loud?

Hello, We do have a resident DJ who spins every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00pm until…

Do they still serve the lobster and shrimp potstickers?

Hi Joanne! At this time that dish is not featured on our menu, Chef Barry and his team are considering bringing it back soon! Thank you and have a great day!

If you're staying at the Circa can I order room service from their Barry's Downtown Prime steakhouse?

Unfortunately, Barry's doesn't deliver room service, though I'm not sure ordering out from this restaurant is the best policy anyway. Half of what you're treating yourself to…

My father can't walk too far, is the entrance somewhat close to the valet parking entrance on Ogden/ main?

Good evening Erika. The entrance on Ogden/Main is about 100 to 120 feet from the escalator that leads down to Barry’s Downtown Prime, it is not far. The valet parking at Garage Mahal is however several hundred feet away and a much longer walk…

I thought I saw they have a bar and possibly a happy hour?

Thank you for reaching out! Our bar opens daily at 4:30pm. We do not however have a happy hour. Our full dinner menu is available starting 5pm throughout the restaurant,…

Does Barry's offer half order sides for those who are dining solo?

Good evening, we do not offer half order sides however Chef Barry and the culinary team can create a custom menu for 1 with advance notice. Please email yl@barrysdowntownprime.com and I’ll be more than happy to set that up for you!

Is there a happy hour menu or what and when is it?

Good afternoon and thank you for reaching out. We do not offer happy hour, but we do offer our full dinner menu in the bar area ever evening.

Is this restaurant overly loud or dark? I plan to have a group out for a business dinner and want to make sure we aren't yelling across the table.

Good afternoon, we have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays, the dining room definitely gets louder starting approx 7:30pm through 11pm. We are able to control the volume in our private rooms however. Also, no DJ Sunday through Thursday. The room is not…

Can I dine as part of one?

I've seen parties of 1 dine at the bar, but if it were me I'd dine at the table as a party of one also. I don't see why not, just my opinion.

Is this place kid friendly? I tried to call the restaurant multiple time and I get no answer

There is a sign, as you walk through the front... says no one under 21 allowed beyond that point. I wouldnt bring my kids here, even without the sign. This is more of a dinner date place for a couple or with other adults.

    What is the dress code?

I honestly didn't see dress code being enforced. Saw people with shorts and a t shirt, some people with suits and then some semi formal.

I like to reserve a table for 4 on Tuesday's at 5 or 6 if possible?

Call and make a res. We did. Service and cuisine tops. Had a memorable dinner. Will be back😋.

Are any of the vegan options also gluten free?

yes they have a vegan menu https://www.barrysdowntownprime.com/menus/

What are the stuffed shrimp from the steak "add-ons" section of the menu, stuffed with?

Crabmeat, stuffing, spices, cheese if i recall

Do you need reservations and are you at full capacity?

I would make reservations it was packed and we went on a Thursday night. I wouldn't chance it if you know you want to eat there

We will be in Las Vegas for the new year, should we make reservation at Barry's or others as well in advance prior to arriving to Las Vegas? Thanks

Yes I would definitely make reservations before they get booked up! Governor has cut dining to 25 % capacity.

    Is there a dress code?

I don't think so. We were dressed appropriately for an evening out & dinner at a nice steak house. However, I did see a few patrons dressed down with tennis shoes & casual shirts.

Did they have music playing in the background? If yes, what type or style?

Yes they do and they play music from all genres but in a classic & jazzy way. A live DJ comes out later in the evenings and the music gets more clubby.

Walked in at around 8:30/9pm and it was pretty dead. My friend and I were able to secure a booth, which felt intimate. It was ample space for 2 people but I can imagine if you had 4 people you'd feel squished. My friend ordered the Naked & Afraid and I ordered the Tropical Howler with vodka. Both of our cocktails were amazing and we'd order them again. If you like sweet cocktails, Tropical Howler is definitely for you. We both ordered a shot of the Mind Eraser, which had coffee liqueur I believe, I am not sure but you could taste the coffee and it was pretty good. Our bartender gave it to us with straws so you could probably sip it like a cocktail or take it like a shot. We liked the vibes in here due to its dark and intimate feel. We probably would have gotten a different vibe if we didn't have our own booth. I would come here again!

It was the integrity behind every moment. Before the séance began, Kent took the time to explain the experience, set thoughtful expectations, and acknowledge the emotional weight of what some audience members might feel. That level of care is incredibly rare. It was clear he wasn't trying to manipulate emotions or convince anyone of anything. Instead, he created a space where curiosity, wonder, and respect could exist together. His passion for his craft is unmistakable, but it's his character that makes the show unforgettable. In a city known for spectacle, Kent reminded me that the most powerful performances come from authenticity. I left feeling more than entertained. I left genuinely moved. If you're looking for an experience that makes you think, feel, and reflect long after the show ends, this is it. I'll absolutely be back.

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

Located in the Uncommons, I parked in their parking structure. I hung out for longer than 2 hours so I think that's why I paid $3 for parking at the end of the night. Entrance located in the Quad Area. Our waitress Bella was sweet and recommended the right drinks. We tried the Li Hung Hula margarita, Monkey In A Tree piña colada, and the Oso Panda signature cocktail. All drinks tasted amazing and looked very good. I loved the ambiance of this place. They have outdoor patio seating and inside seating. It gives a comfy feel with their seat cushions, small tables, and stools. I noticed it got busier as the night got later. They have one T.V. that they had on when I came in but was covered up by the time I left. I definitely recommend this place. Glad I came after dinner as they do not serve food here. I would definitely come again!

I will say on weekend nights, I had always seen this place crowded and lively. I was for sure curious. On a weekday evening, I strolled into this venue. It had great chill music and had some customers, but not busy at all. The weather had been a little more humid than usual and with the full opened walls/doors to the outside patio, it was a bit warm, little muggy sitting at the bar. The decor is really nice though, a really good tiki vibe. The bartender addressed us right away and we were first looking for an espresso martini but they had a Carajillo, which was explained to be a Spanish version of an espresso martini. The bartender said it was really good. We got it - and you have to expect something that is the same as the espresso martini. The flavor was alright, but the knock for me was that it was all ice. There was very little drink in it. The agua fresca was a winner - the Sundown Sipper. It was refreshing and a great blend of juices. Not tart, perfect amount of sweet tropical flavor. I did really enjoy this. If you're not a drinker, you have options here.

We were sat at a super cute table (there were 4 of us) and looked through the menu. The decor was super cute! Sort of old vintage looking couches around some tables, dim lighting, I loved the vibe. We each ordered something different from their cocktail menu from our very nice server. While waiting for those, our friend went to close out the tab and ordered shots, but asked for something that would be good. They proceeded to give us something with muddled strawberries, I was blown away at how good it was! Best shot I have ever had, so fresh. I love when you give bartenders freedom to play and create something so good! Our cocktails were so interesting and very tasty. I'd love to come back when we have some more time and try some of the other drinks. Everything about this place was amazing to me! Vibe, staff, the drinks, I had a great time!

While you're out there, be sure to snap a picture in their photo booth! The staff here is simply INCREDIBLE! They are always so welcoming and do a fantastic job of helping walk you through the menu. Because the cocktail menu changes frequently with unique, rotating themes, you get a completely fresh experience every single time you visit. On my last trip, the theme was music through different eras of time, which was easily one of my favorites yet. They also have standard house cocktails, be sure to check out the punch of the day! Before you leave, don't forget to check out their cool merch and swag, which is beautifully framed up on the wall right behind the bar. No matter where you are staying in Vegas, make sure to put Velveteen Rabbit at the very top of your destination list!

At first we had a difficult time finding the place because we were expecting to see a big sign but there was none. Locate the Art's Square sign and walk toward the double doors straight ahead. The vibes are very intimate, emphasizes the arts, and every bartender and server is very friendly, even the hostess! First off, loved their menu booklet. I learned a lot about different drinks. I also loved that they had pictures that went with their drinks too. Seriously, lots of options! I also loved that they gave us a little card that had their most popular drinks based on taste. Our check came in a DVD plastic too, super nostalgic. I have not seen one of these in forever. Lol My friend and I ordered our first cocktail off this card and they were both incredible. I ordered the Crimes of Passion and she ordered the Dreamsicle. I like my cocktails sweet and these were both great. We ordered truffle fries off their small bites menu, which was enough to hold us over. For the second cocktail, my friend ordered the Nocturno Espresso. She liked it a lot, but it wasn't my preference since it was just a little bitter. I ordered what my bartender recommended me. I mentioned liking sweet drinks and he asked if I liked strawberries to which I replied "of course!" He made me a cocktail named the "Two Step" that I couldn't find on their menu but it was exactly the kind of drink I was looking for. We recommend making reservations. We tried to walk-in one night and they had a 30 minute wait, so we ended up booking a reservation on OpenTable for another day. They only take reservations for 6 people or less, this place is intimate after all. Looking forward to stopping in again!
