My boyfriend and I found this restaurant on Tik Tok and loved it! Inside is lit with red lighting, has wooden tables, and cushioned red seats. The food was amazing, we started with a bread and a tomato paste that was so divine, our server Anthony brought a second round. We shared the French onion soup, going bite for bite and fighting over the cheese and pastry bits. The soup was so good, we had to pace ourselves to savor it because we didn't want it to end. I ordered the braised short rib and my boyfriend the NY strip steak. We shared the Mac and cheese (a solid recommendation from our server Anthony) and were blown away. Both entrees were amazing but I will forever think about the braised short rib over mashed potatoes and carrots. We ordered a drink each, my boyfriend the red wedding with real raspberry puree that was so smooth he loved it (he doesn't like the taste of alcohol). I ordered the iconic cocktail served in a horn. Both were well balanced and had us feeling a buzz! Our server Anthony was a highlight. He made great conversation, was super attentive, had great recommendations, and provided well paced service. He even asked if we wanted videos of the steak and drink presentation! We love asking servers for recommendations and guidance on choosing a good fitting drink and menu items, but love it even more when they actually care about our taste, are knowledgeable about menu items, and genuinely care to guide us towards something we will enjoy. Anthony did just that! He really made the experience so enjoyable in multiple ways and made great conversation, mentioning that his wife ate the short rib her entire pregnancy (I can understand why). My boyfriend and I go to nice dinner spots whenever we travel, so we decided to go off Strip and try Primal Steakhouse. We got there before our reservation and were very impressed by the ambiance inside. The theming was super cool and even though the outside area seems unassuming, the inside is exquisite. We were sat after a few minutes of waiting and greeted by our incredible server, Parker. He was very kind, incredibly efficient, and nice to talk to! He also gave great recommendations. Honestly, the entire staff were all great and very helpful. The food was GREAT. So good. So filling...come ravenous. We both did the $70 3-course and it was great. The salad portions were generous and you even get a side with your steak. And the dessert was delicious (I'm not a tiramisu person at all but the Oreo one...man, so good). Also want to give a shoutout to the violinist--he was playing such a wide genre of music and it just made the ambiance and vibe so much better. Primal has to be one of my favorite steakhouses, especially with their incredible $70 prix fixe dinner. It's such a great value! You get your choice of soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert, plus you can add an appetizer for just $15. We started with the French onion soup and the Caesar salad. The Caesar was absolutely massive, easily big enough to share, and my French onion soup was rich, flavorful, and delicious. For our entrées, I ordered the 8 oz. filet, while my husband chose the short ribs. His short ribs were absolutely phenomenal! They were tender, flavorful, and the standout of the meal. My filet was cooked perfectly, though I think I'd order it without the onions next time so the steak can really shine. I also added the fully loaded baked potato, and whatever lardons they use on it were incredible. It may have been one of the best loaded baked potatoes I've had. We couldn't pass up the appetizer add-on and tried the deviled eggs with Wagyu and caviar. The Wagyu version wasn't really my favorite, but the caviar deviled egg was absolutely impeccable. Dessert finished the meal with a crème brûlée and the Oreo tiramisu. The Oreo tiramisu was a bit too heavy on the sweet cream for my taste, but the crème brûlée was perfectly executed with a crisp caramelized top and silky custard. A huge shout-out to our server, Maya, who was fantastic from start to finish. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and made the entire dining experience even better with her attentive, friendly service. Mannnnn. I don't even know where to begin. I made reservations at Primal Steakhouse a few days ago and up until one hour prior to our reservation, I went back and forth questioning if I should cancel. I'm glad I didn't. Me and wifey showed up for our 7:30 PM reservation and was seated immediately and greeted by our server, Nicole (Congratulations on your little one!). She was very pleasant and then TK came out and dropped off a phenomenal sourdough bread slice with a side of bacon jam, I believe. Then we were greeted by manager Derrick, who I'd previously spoke with on the phone and told him we'd be about 5 minutes behind schedule. He told me it was no problem. Derrick's personality was personable to the point where it felt like I knew him already. TK recommended the pepper corn sauce for our steak and then went above and beyond by bringing out several different sauces to try with our steak. I informed Derrick my wife was in PA school and graduating soon and then he went above and beyond by bringing out a complementary dessert for her, which he did not have to do but we were very appreciative of the nice gesture. This experience tonight was one of a kind and I'd gladly come back on my next visit and tell a friend. I've never had such exceptional service at a steakhouse. The style of this restaurant is definitely different, and we weren't expecting it, very medieval rustic, which fits the primal concept. Fun look especially at the entry with all the melted wax from candles burning. Live music was nice. Our waitress was kind and helpful. Steak was decent, the salt was a bit more course, so if it was saturated in some areas some would say it was over salted but all in all it was good. French onion soup absolutely delicious, mashed potatoes were great, and Mac and cheese wasn't a wow factor, without asking they kindly removed it from our tab as we barely ate it. I love a good Caesar and I will say it was mild in flavor. Not pictured but the best highlight of this experience, the grilled toast with a tomato bacon jam of sorts. Very delicious and different. I briefly considered canceling our reservation, but since my card had already been charged to hold the table, we decided to give it a chance. Inside, the restaurant had a medieval-inspired theme with heavy drapes and décor that felt more inexpensive than elegant. The tables were wobbly, and the atmosphere didn't match what I expected from a steakhouse at this price point. The welcome wasn't particularly warm, and after being seated by the hostess, she also became our server. While that isn't necessarily a problem, it set the tone for an experience that never quite felt polished. We started with the Forbidden Fruit cocktail, which was average at best. I'd rate it 5/10. After my observation I began to lose my appetite.. Since it was my daughter's birthday, we planned to order her the three-course menu and just an appetizer for me. However, we were informed that because there were two of us, one person would have to order a separate entrée in order to order the 3 course menu. That was disappointing but manageable, so I ordered what was listed as the lamb rack. The artichoke dip was underwhelming. I've honestly had better from the grocery store. 2/10. The Caesar salad was forgettable, and the lettuce didn't taste as fresh or as well-cleaned as I would've expected. 5/10. The loaded potato was fine, although it wasn't nearly as "loaded" as advertised. 5/10. The New York strip was cooked medium-rare as requested, but it was surprisingly tough and chewy. I've genuinely had more tender steaks at Texas Roadhouse. 3/10. Then came the biggest disappointment of the evening. I ordered a lamb rack, but what arrived were three thin lamb lollipops. Those are not the same cut of meat. I politely asked to speak with the manager and explained that this wasn't what I had ordered. His response was, "Well, no one has complained before." Came here for a birthday celebration. Overall it was good but definitely agree that the prices are extremely high. I was really disappointed in the tomahawk steak. It was served fairly rare and under seasoned, we had to ask for salt to finish it. The sauces are underwhelming and seemed to be done in an untraditional way (it's a crime to call that chimichurri). The highlight of the meal was the Mac n cheese and the free bread they give you. The place itself is very cool but it is dark and loud as I imagine there's quite a bit of echoing in there. I was in Vegas for business, and our team decided to do a group dinner. We were told this spot would be perfect for great steak and even better conversation... and let me tell you, it delivered--with a side of time travel "Helloooo Mc fly!). The moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped straight into a medieval castle. I'm talking dim lighting, stone vibes, and these wild little mountains of melted candle wax everywhere like time itself just gave up and decided to drip. For a second I thought, "Claire... is that you?"because this place has serious Outlander energy. The ambiance is warm, cozy, and just the right amount of dramatic. You can make reservations (which I highly recommend if you're rolling deep like we were), but they do accept walk-ins too. We got seated quickly and were greeted by our server, Kurin an absolute rockstar. She asked if it was our first time, gave great recommendations, and stayed attentive without hovering. Now, this is one of those classic steakhouse setups order your main dish, and the sides are separate. Some of my coworkers ordered drinks that looked like they came out of a mad scientist's lab bubbling, smoking, the whole show. No idea what it was, but it looked impressive. While waiting for the food, we noticed all the medieval décor on the walls. We jokingly asked if we could try some of it on... and to our surprise, Kurin told us we actually could. Next thing you know, we're in full-on photo shoot mode, living our best knight-at-the-round-table lives. Then the food started rolling out. First up, the wedge salad crisp, ice-cold lettuce, perfectly cooked bacon, and all the fixings hitting exactly how they should. Simple, classic, and done right. But the real star? The tomahawk steak. We split it between three grown men who have been known to make all-you-can-eat restaurants nervous and this thing still held its own. Massive doesn't even begin to describe it. Cooked to absolute perfection, incredibly tender (butter knife status), and seasoned so well it didn't need a single extra thing. Tomahawks can be tricky, but these folks clearly know what they're doing. We ordered a variety of sides, but the truffle fries stole the show crispy, flavorful, and the perfect wingman to that steak. Around the table, the burger got rave reviews, and the short rib was another standout rich, tender, and worth every bite. Then someone let it slip that it was my birthday, and out came this awesome macaron topped with a sparkler, because apparently subtlety is not on the menu here (and I'm not complaining). We also tried the deconstructed banana split, which was just as fun to eat as it was to look at. Is it a little pricey? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Between the quality of the food, the unique atmosphere, and top-tier service, you're getting an experience not just a meal. I just want to say that I truly believe I found one of the best hidden gems in Las Vegas. As someone who has eaten at just about every restaurant in town and spent thousands of dollars dining out, I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and everyone should experience it. The location may not be in the heart of the Strip or a flashy area, but in my opinion, they serve some of the most delicious food in all of Las Vegas. The steaks are outstanding, the cocktails are exceptional, and every dish we tried was incredible. I also want to give a special thank you to Justin, the manager. He took amazing care of us from the moment we arrived, made sure everything was perfect, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I went into Primal Steakhouse not really knowing what to expect... and apparently what I should have expected was helmets, swords, violin music, and some of the best steaks we had in Vegas. Our group of 10 had an absolute blast. At some point during the night we were taking pictures with Viking helmets and swords while a violinist played classical tracks from the Bridgerton series. Somehow it all works together and makes the place feel like medieval fine dining in the best possible way. The cocktails were fantastic. The smoked Old Fashioned (King's Elixir) was basically dinner and a show all by itself and definitely grabbed everyone's attention at the table. The lobster bisque was one of the coolest presentations I've seen. They bring out a bowl filled with ingredients and then pour the bisque over it at the table. And yes... it tasted just as good as it looked. For the main course, my wife had the short rib and I shared a medium-rare Delmonico, which was excellent. Around the table we had a couple more Delmonicos and several short ribs along with sides like spinach and mac & cheese, and honestly everything was getting rave reviews. One thing that really stood out was the service before we even arrived. I made a reservation and received a call where they gave me a personal cell number in case anything changed. The owner was genuinely appreciative that we chose his restaurant for our business dinner, which is something you don't see very often. The bad: the deviled eggs - tasted mid, the Wagyu it came with was well done The lamb rack - ordered medium arrived with 1 piece medium rare and 2 pieces medium well done instead, the spinach was way over salted Creme brûlée, this could have been nice but they flambéed the plate it was on and the flame went on for well over a minute which heated up the dessert and led to the texture for the bottom 1/3 being unpleasant. We come to Las Vegas 5+ times a year and I would easily say this is in the top 3 best steak houses in the city. My boyfriend and I dined at Primal for the Summer Special $70 3-course menu, and it was such a great experience. The restaurant has a really unique atmosphere that feels like stepping into a medieval tavern, with a mostly wooden interior, dim lighting, and melted candles throughout. I started with the lobster bisque, which was rich, flavorful, and had a really nice amount of shredded lobster. I also added the bone marrow for $15, and it was huge, served with garlic butter crostinis and greens with a citrus dressing that perfectly balanced and cut through the richness. For my entree, I had the short rib, which was tender, flavorful, and came with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables that I really enjoyed. We also ordered a side of mac and cheese, and it was honestly possibly the best mac and cheese I've had at any steakhouse in Vegas. For dessert, I had the Oreo tiramisu, which leaned more Oreo-forward but still had a good classic tiramisu flavor. Our server, Michael, was incredibly friendly, funny, and attentive throughout the meal. The customer service was excellent, and he kept us laughing while checking on us frequently. We'll definitely be coming back soon to take advantage of the Summer Special, and I'd love to be seated with Michael again if possible. read more

First time here. Def will be back. Our server Micheal was very knowledgeable of menu. Had the Monaco steak with a baked potato really wanted the garlic mash, but unfortunately, they have onion powder. (I'm allergic to onions). All sides are pretty big definitely shareable for two. My husband and I came here for our 8th wedding anniversary. Everything was great! The ambiance is really interesting. You get transported into the medieval times with all the candles and dim lighting. They even have a corner where you could take photos with swords and helmets. The food was amazing. The Australian Wagyu steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Both were delicious. Michael was incredible! He was nice, funny and attentive to our needs. He even served us an anniversary cake. It was a small cheesecake, but it was the perfect way to end a good meal. read more

Courtney is pure perfection. She demonstrated a rare, refined level of perfection, skill, and attention to detail. She was beyond attentive, sweet, made delicious recommendations and just had such a positive attitude. She made my birthday a great one. I'm glad she wasn't snooty. She was very amicable and I swear she had that face that just screams FAMOUS. She kept us entertained through our birthday adventure. She made us laugh and have such a great time. Another young strong burly man was also very kind and attentive. He worked very hard and made sure everyone at their table. He made sure we were happy and that there was an area for some fun cosplay. And let the hubby know about the restroom. I was unable to get his name. But he was also very welcoming. I want to believe he may have been a manger but not sure. The hostess was also very welcoming and took a moment to explain some fun things for us. I'm sorry I forgot her name. She gave it to me and I sincerely forgot. The place itself is such a pleasure to enjoy. Dark, romantic yet gothic, Classy and sexy feel going on here. Restaurant is large. Reservations may be a must. We made reservations so I'm not sure what would have happened if we didn't. I forgot to use the restroom. However the men's restroom is hAHAHAHilarious. I had my hubby go in and take a vid. There is ample parking. Construction going on. But everything is open. The drinks are delicious. Oh and don't get fooled by the slanted water glasses like I did lol. I had to look really hard because I was like omg I haven't not even drank yet and I think I'm seeing drunk . What did we order .... Deviled eggs with A5 and Caviar $20 - beyond delicious. We preferred the Caviar over the A5 Kings Elixor $18.00 8oz Filet Mignon $62 each (one of ours had the blue cheese crust added for $10) that Blue cheese crust has my eyes still rolling back. Butterfly Nocturn (vodka) $17 Their Filet Mignon was a FULL 8 ounce cooked and seasoned to perfection. It did more than melt in my mouth. It had a parade, a show, an opera and a standing ovation all at once. We need one of these in California..... Close to Manhattan Beach/Redondo Beach or Long Beach please. My goodness. We did not want the food to end. The sourdough bread other the bacon tomato jam was exquisite. I can't even nail the delicious flavors that took over my mouth. It was good. The cocktails were perfectly made. Primal has great customer service and great food. We love places like this. I say Primal and Rare Society really have a competition here. After them would be Ruth Chris. Next would be the Derby in Arcadia. I think we will take a road trip back to LV just to come and eat at Primal. Thank you Courtney for being so awesome. read more

Greats steaks, service, and ambience! We were greeted instantly with a smile and a stack of melted candles. Atmosphere is dark and gothic, very cool! Had a smoked old fashion and it was perfect. The Delmonico steak was a perfect mid rare with a nice sear. My friends had the smoked New York and said it was the best steak they had in Vegas! Appears to be a perfect place for a party. You can even put on a knights helmet and drink from a horn and channel your inner Viking. read more

You gotta love a restaurant that commits to a theme. The decor is wild and hilarious. Happily the food was also great! Dramatic cocktails and very tasty beef and elk entrees. Tender, juicy, flavorful. Onion rings, fries, wedge salad and brussel sprouts not pictured but all were delicious. The only criticism I had was the desserts. Creme brulee should not feel like cottage cheese. But that was a very minor thing. We had a blast celebrating a birthday at Primal and would definitely go again. read more

The vibe here is fantastic -- moody lighting, flickering candles with melting wax, and a medieval-meets-romantic atmosphere that feels totally different from anything on the Strip. Definitely five stars for ambiance. That said, the tables were way too close together. My husband was literally rubbing elbows with the guy next to us, and we got a front-row seat to their "boys' night" chat -- mostly complaints about wine markups. Not exactly the background noise I was hoping for during my birthday dinner. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was delicious -- creamy, flavorful, and served piping hot. The steak, though, was just okay. Cooked exactly as ordered, but the flavor was kind of average. The top had this charred, ash-like layer that made me wonder if the grill hadn't been cleaned properly. Not a deal-breaker, just... odd. Still, it was nice getting off the Strip for something different. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere really does make the night feel special. If I could rate separately, it'd be 5 stars for ambiance and service, but closer to 3.5 for the food. read more

While in Vegas I wanted to try this restaurant due to the awesome reviews I had heard about. The restaurant did not disappoint. I love the decor of the medieval times look. It reminds you of a pirate-type style decor the food was excellent. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. The chops melted in your mouth and were tender. Very flavorful. Service was impeccable. The waitress, Hannah had just gotten off training and we were her first table working alone and she did an outstanding job. They had a man who serenaded the customers with a beautiful violin for entertainment. It's a great place for a date, birthday party, and a huge bar and a menu for drinks. The dessert, tiramisu was beyond freaking delicious. When in Vegas this is a great place to dine. Note: Located in the Blvd mall outside. read more

This is now my favorite restaurant in the city! The restaurant is heavily themed with medieval decor but it is cozy and elevated at the same time. Location: this elevated steakhouse with a medieval/viking theme outside the Boulevard mall. Do not let the location scare you: they've really built a lovely environment and you will not feel like you are at the mall. You are truly transported with the decor, live music (played daily), and excellent food. The staff is super friendly- I felt like they understood when certain dishes were for "the gram" while also being super down to earth. The price point was quite pricey but the food and service was absolutely worth it. Now my favorites: the beef carpaccio was hands down my favorite appetizer I think I've ever had in my life. It was a beautiful display of how food can look gorgeous and taste incredible as well. Steak was cooked very well and presentation of the steak was great. I got one of their specialty drinks in a Viking horn which tasted great and was just fun to drink out of! Finally, the sparkler that they brought for my birthday just added to all the magic. Truly an incredible experience for me and my husband and I felt like the price point (because it is pricey) was worth the incredible experience. The photos and videos I've seen of this place do not do it justice. If you are unsure if the price point is worth it visit Primal for their Happy Hour M-Th all night long at their bar. You'll get some cheap drinks and get an idea of the vibes. I need to figure out another occasion to go back soon!!! read more
