    BBQ Chicken Sandwich
    Jeff K.

Haven't got a chance to personally try too much of the menu, but always get the bbq chicken sandwich and it's fantastic. Will try more in future, haven't heard anything negative from other sandwiches family have gotten too.

Holy prices Batman ... 20 bucks for sandwich, 10 bucks for soup and that is takeout without!tops or a beverage. Pastrami and additional for a slice cheese Sandwich k, not much pastrami fit price ... used to be better ... I think this my last visit and drive to Michael's for better pastrami taste and better prices . Matza ball soup no flavor and was just ok but 10 bucks too high The potato salad was a dinky condiment cup but to be honest ....,best flavor potato salad I ate anywhere . Pickle was dinky and not enough ... like eating a gherkin Ohh well ... I was to eat in but lace had no heat and adding a 6 bucks too high tip would have added more pain to the misery .

You know how you reeeaaallyyy know a deli is delicious. Line out the door and wall to wall humans... I have found my people. Rachel, pickle and slaw on the side. Quart of matzo soup for the next day. Almost every time. Some days I don't have time for a post lunch nap and skip the sandwich. It happened to be 'freezing' today 55 in September. Freezing. I needed Barry's. It warms you up from the inside out. And it's so filling. I'm going to try and walk off the pending food coma. Matzo soup is great! With Covid we needed a lot of soup in this household. Always came to Barry's. I never had noodles and my matzo. But they put noodles in theirs!!! It's legit. Look at those big chunks of chicken, carrots, and celery... Other than soups and sandwiches. Barry's has got you covered for all things related to Jewish foods. Sunday is Jewish New Year and Barry's was prepped. So many delicious sweet things to welcome in the new year. Plus all the traditional stuff. Their challah looked amazing. Their muffins are muffin top inducing and worth the treat once a year. Everyone is super nice and considering how slammed they were today I got in and out pretty quick!

I wish I could give them 6 stars. They have the breakfast sandwiches I miss from NY. PROS: Awesome NY style deli. Great breakfast, desserts, sandwiches, Knishes, and everything else. I love that you can Barry-size food, which is double meat. They do an amazing breakfast sandwich. If you miss NY style breakfast from a deli, Barry has your fix. Eggs and bacon on a roll. Epic. The staff is superb. I love the whole lot of them. Say hi to Jay and Andrea, the nicest people you will ever meet. CONS: Parking is limited OVERALL: Superb. Great food. Great people. NY in Waban.

    Pastrami and brisket! Pastrami amazing!

Service was awesome. The smoothies were really good. My sandwich was good too. I liked the bread and the cheese. First, the menu is extensive, like Cheesecake Factory extensive. If you like Mediterranean inspired food with ridiculously good bakery items that caters easily to those who are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, do not miss this place. He got the Israeli breakfast sub vegan kofta kebabs for the tuna and I got the vegetable shakshuka. The Israeli plate is a cornucopia of items, the pics don't do it justice. The plate was bigger than his head. He was in heaven, mmmmm-ing and ohhhing as he ate. I had the shakshuka. Now, I make this at home and have eaten it at numerous restaurants. I know good shakshuka. It was divine. The perfect amount of heat, eggs were properly runny, and the veggies were a perfect balance of crunch and spring. An espresso vanilla bean hurricane, was a delightful addition to the rest of our lunch. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cafe interior was utilitarian and well maintained. The staff delivering food were attentive to other guests needs as they walked by. All in all, excellent food and experience. I look forward to returning.

Immediately seated and waiter(didn't say is name) stated they were busy today and number of items unavailable - no pizza dough(no pizzas at all), no marinated olives, no grilled bread with mussels dish, no ciabatta toast with pesto dish. We ordered drinks, and one came quickly. had to ask another wait staff for remaining drinks 10 minutes later. Ordered appetizers, then placed main order. 15 minutes go by, and I see three dishes under heating lamp. Five minutes later those three dishes and another were brought to our table. My paccheri bolangnese was cold, and prepared with spacatelli pasta - waiter neglected to state out of all pastas but spacatelli. My wife's roasted chicken was very dry(too long under heating lamp?). My son ordered the spacatelli al pesto, but he was mistakenly given spacatelli bolognese. He prefers not to eat meat. We sent that back and ten minutes later he received his correct order. The restaurant was scheduled to close at 10 PM. I can only imagine service and choices given to people with later reservation. MIDA didn't deserve one star, but that option is not offered. you MIDAwant to chose another restaurant if you expect better!

There's almost something cozy about a place like this. Knotty P. has all the diner signs: worn counter, people yapping, the waitress taking orders non-stop, booths aren't huge, aisles are tiny (good luck getting to your seat) and the special scrape sound of the large metal spatula touching the steel flattop. If you don't mind sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with the regulars, then the counter is your spot. The only 2 seats available were at the counter and we snagged them. The breakfast potatoes are exactly what you want them to be: crispy-edges and golden- these have a little heat kick- not too much- but just enough to keep you going for another bite. As non-meat eaters, we appreciated how the cook keeps the sausages in their own territory (something is something I guess) from the omelettes, pancakes, etc. Then there's the energy- fast and a little loud in the best way. And right in the middle of it, is Ileana who has that special spark and every beat, timed.
