Pepperoni Pizza

4/5 - Decent pizza for the price. Crust was nicely seasoned and had an adequate structure to floppy ratio necessary for pizza. Amount of sauce was just right for this style so it wasn't too overpowering and it wasn't overly greasy or soggy. Staff were fairly nice and my order came out pretty quickly. In terms of pizza, this place is just average - nothing amazing or noteworthy, but a good place to come back to if you're hungry and just want fast, okay pizza.

Located conveniently close to Brandeis University, this place sells pretty decent food. It is family owned. They sell breakfasts, bagels, sandwiches, pizzas, and many more. My friend ordered the Tuna Sandwich and I ordered the Turkey Breast Club. He devoured the Tuna Sandwich so I'm guessing it was pretty good. My turkey breast club was just okay. I just liked the crispy bacon bits that was in the sandwich. Service was kind of slow just for a regular sandwich...

Delivery pizza via GrubHub arrived in about an 1 hour+ for a late weekday lunch (free delivery). Crust was basic, but not much flavor, crispy on the bottom (a bit of oil under one too), only modest oven spring. Plenty of cheese, but it wasn't at all gooey like mozzarella should be, and just sort of broke apart when I bit into it. Not sure if it was some sort of a blend or not. Toppings were fine.

Ding Mawi Special Sandwich

Was getting a little fed up with the food on campus and decided to take a walk down the road. This deli did not disappoint. I got the Ding-Mawi and it was one of the best sammiches i've had. They were able to accommodate to my needs and give me gluten free bread. It came with a pickle and a side (I the got potato salad which was great). The staff is friendly and the menu is extensive. Definitely coming back to try more. Absolutely worth the visit, even in this frigidity.

Affordable deli done right. It won't blow you away but the sandwiches have been consistent in quality and the service is solid.

Went here for the first time yesterday and was so glad I did! Really cute shop with plenty of…read moreprepared foods (salads, pasta salad, potato salad, etc.), snacks, and baked goods. The store was clean and spacious. Plenty of good looking sausages and meats to bring home for cooking, but I came to grab some lunch. I got the prosciutto lovers and was happy with my choice. The bread was soft and a good texture. The sandwich had prosciutto, fresh mozz, basil leaves, tomatoes, and was seasoned with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. Was it the most amazing sandwich I'd ever tasted? Nah, it was standard, but for less than $13 for a sandwich that was longer than my forearm, it was a fantastic deal. Service was speedy and the two folks who helped me out were friendly. There were two people in front of me, but I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches!

My relationship with Idris at the Meat Spot was born out of friendly banter about food and a need…read moreto become friends with a reputable butcher. It is not the lack of familiarity with butchery (which I have a lot of experience with) but the better access to higher quality meats and very specific cuts. This we spoke of, this we laughed about, and a simple friendship started. He is a *very* nice individual and truly genuine to all his customers as far as I've observed each time I visit. He learns each one and responds in a unique way to them. With me, it came down to the meats. First time, I simply told him that I wanted to grill chicken and wanted to taste his take on it. He grabbed a pack of chicken leg quarters from the display case and said he'd be right back. About 5 minutes later, I received 6 massive butterflied legs exposing bone and seasoned heavily to be ready for the grill in an hour. He pulled up one of his house cured sausages to go together with the chicken. His smile in the moment sold it. Hours later, I'll just say that his take on it all was worth the visit and more after. I'm a fan and I really like the ability to order specialty cuts if I called first. I like that I can walk in and ask for something not in the display box that if he has the ingredient, would churn out in an instant (ask for really lean ground lamb and he did that on the spot). I like that he remembers people and treats them in a genuine manner every time. I love that everything is fresh and that the prices are really reasonable. And I like more than anything else the words, "my friend, where have you been? I was worried." Idris, thank you for being that butcher I needed in my life. Cheers!

So I get a large Chip's Tip sub and a few pastries for snacks. The bill was steep for what I got but I thought it would be worth it for my son to try the sub. After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.
