First time customer. Came in for a late breakfast and had the Eggs Benedict. Although the eggs were a little too cooked, the overall serving was quite good and filling. And the coffee was pretty good, as well. The male server I had was very attentive and friendly. When I first arrived, there were only a few customers, but it became fairly busy near lunchtime. Quaint local diner with a lot of regulars - many people walked in and the servers knew their names and were familiar with them which is neat! I'll echo what others have said that it's a bit pricey for what you get, but what isn't nowadays. The menu is extensive and they serve all day breakfast and lunch (eggs benedict only available weekends and holidays). We got their corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and patty melt, all which were delicious! It was some of the best corned beef hash I've had in a while but the portion wasn't that big. The sandwich came with a side, I chose salad, which was offered with their housemade greek dressing! The home fries could be better seasoned but overall not bad. Tasty and homey spot for brunch with great service. They offer a pretty classic selection of breakfast items, which they prepare well. We ordered the biscuits & gravy as well as the eggs with home fries. The former of which showcased a freshly baked biscuit and meaty gravy. In the egg dish, the home fries were crispy and flavorful. Had breakfast at this restaurant and the prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were big enough to share (if you choose to). I went here with 4 other friends who had had a meal here before. The service was very prompt, friendly, helpful and gave great tips on what foods the servers had tried before and they enjoyed. This place has on the street parking and many people come to enjoy a meal here. The atmosphere was comfortable with good lighting, a place to eat outside if you wish and family friendly. The food menu has many choices and large portion sizes so you will leave here satisfied and happy with what you had. read more

I was really happy to come here for brunch and had scrambled eggs and sausage and some toast. Eggs were nice and fluffy. The breakfast sausage tastedl was good and I love the home fries. Pancakes were big and fluffy, but additional cost for a real maple syrup. Coffee was pretty mediocre. Service was a little slow. Stafford didn't seem to know the menu enough and wasn't sure how many pieces of meat goes with the type of breakfast. This place is a hidden gem. It opened at 7:00 and filled right up. I must be the last to discover this place. I don't know how they remember everything on their menu. There was so much to choose from. As soon as I sat down I was given a menu and water. They had four people in the kitchen and three people handling the customers. I had the "ultimate omelet" with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. They gave me a choice of 5 cheeses. Then I had raisin toast. I usually don't see this option. The interior was all wood, finished wooden counter, wooden booths, pretty ritzy for a greesy spoon. I wish I had found this place sooner. I would return. read more

I've ordered take-out and delivery from Village several times, and the food is always delicious and cooked exactly as requested. Pick 2/3/4 is the best deal in breakfast. Pick any items you want from the menu for a set price. Massive menu, so I can't speak for most of it, but I've always been very happy with breakfast foods and soups. Nice little cafe, very welcoming team. Gave me a sense of a family run establishment. The food is like any typical breakfast brunch cafe. I liked that the food was not overly salty like other places. The corn beef hash was right on the mark in terms of flavor. The hash browns were toasty, some were a little more crispy/burned than others but nice crunch. Not pricey but the place can get busy. Came here after volunteering from cradles to crayons. Mainstay diner with solid breakfast and surprisingly great sandwiches. I got the French dip, and other diners I was with got melts and Reuben's which they all recommend. The French dip was on a butter toasted bun, that was delicate with each bite but did not fall apart when dipped into the au juis. I got the French fries which are your standard steak cut fries, which were crispy but could've used some salt. They don't overload you with fries, but give you just the right amount to keep you satisfied. They also give you a healthy sized dill pickle that seemed fresh made or not your standard jarred pickle. The Reuben was packed with meat and sauerkraut, all the guys ordering it were quietly the entire meal until their sandwich was gone. Now, I wouldn't normally do this as I grew up in Buffalo, NY, and I'm usually left disappointed but it was the best buffalo style chicken finger I've had in the Boston area. Phenomenal service here. Came for breakfast and ordered an omelette and breakfast sandwich with avocados. The omelette was so delicious and huge! Generous portions of veggies and cheese too. The boyfriend LOVED the breakfast sandwich especially with the addition of avocado on it. The breakfast potatoes are divine, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I loved them.
