They were pretty decent. I got the fish tacos, chicken soup, and churros via ubereats. The tacos read dry which I'm sure the distance to get here didn't help. The batter was kinda cold, but it was very thick and chewy and the cabbage slaw was good and spicy. I think pico or additional toppings would've helped it out. The churros were cold and dry as well. This place is probably best in person. Being that I'm home- bound, I probably won't order again. Inspired and exciting menu though. read more

Bartaco never disappoints!! This location seems to season everything better than the others I've been to. I dig it. Tried the chopped salad for the first time. Yumm!! My taste buds approve!! Comes with a cilantro lime dressing that is delish. Very fresh and crispy, ever so tasty on the pallet. Crispy Rock Shrimp taco is one of my favs. Comes with this chipotle slaw that had a nice little kick to it. Breaded shrimp that a good taste to it. Roasted Duck taco was freaking awesome! My favorite!! I've had it other Bartacos but they just seem like they prepare their food even. After than other locations. I dig it! Grilled corn on the cobb is always amazing. Great place for cheap but tasty food. Service was not amazing. The restaurant itself is very cozy and all the wait staff was friendly. We needed to ask for things (water, refills, ordering) and the food did not all come out at the same time, but besides that there were no problems. Appetizers: Guac + roja + verde I thought the guac was very good and the other two sauces were tasty but not exceptional. The chips were fantastic, but we had to ask for more to finish the sauces. Tacos: Chicken Chorizo My favorite of the tacos I got. The flavor of the chicken and the sauce worked really well together. Mojo Pork Carnitas The pork was good but left a slightly greasy after feel. Mushroom Great option for vegetarian people. The mushrooms were nicely seasoned and cooked. Carne Asada Of the 4 tacos this one was my least favorite. Nothing really popped out. Dessert: Churros The flavor was sweet and eggy and they had a nice crunchy exterior with a fluffy interior. The chocolate dipping sauce was dark but complimented the sugary churros well. I would give it 5 stars but I'm picky about having to repeatedly ask for things such as water, and I only liked 3/4 tacos. There's a menu barcode you scan and pull up the menu online from phone. Ordering is very easy from phone - you select the dishes & drinks you want to order, pay (on phone), and server brings the food about 10-15 minutes later. If you want more than a quick lunch, perhaps a temp job serving as your own waiter and spending 20 minutes downloading a phone app and inputting your credit card information only to end up in a confusing loop, go here! I got the fish tacos and to me the fish was fried too hard but the sauce and everything else on the rack was ok. My fiancé got the chicken bowl which he enjoyed. The vegetable bowl had a great flavor and he enjoyed the verde sauce. The winner of the show was the churros and the vanilla gelato together they were a perfect combination of hot and cold. There is only street parking and we were lucky enough to find parking across the street. The restaurant is very open so to me it doesn't really matter if you eat inside or outside. Individual order, where you just write the quantity beside the food items you want. Easy! We didn't wait too long for our food to arrive & I loved the presentation. Maybe it was an off night or we were in too late in the evening, but the experience wasn't great. We were standing around for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us, the menu system was clumsy, and the food fell flat. Ordering and paying is done entirely through the phone, and we didn't really have a singular waiter assigned to us. The site also seemed to be bugged, as it deleted my input tip off the final receipt without giving an option to go back and change it. I love this place! This is my first time here at this location but I've been to the buckhead one before as well. Both places are packed on the weekends! We had to wait at least 40 mins just to get seated and it was at 10pm on a Friday. The first time I went to Bartaco I was a little skeptical I'd like it. I'm usually pretty particular about the way my tacos are made but everything here is soooo good. My favorite taco is the pork belly one hands down. I also loved their corn on the cob, but I usually tell them to take it off the cob so it's less messy. Tuna tatake is really good too. And if you like mojitos, theirs is theeee best I've had! I ordered an appetizer and 3 tacos. We were stopping by to grab a drink and a snack to continue our Friday. We entered the restaurant and it was a small lunch crowd. Upon dinning I noticed the manager went to tables to ask about their dining experience. We were never asked how was the service nor if we needed anything. I ordered two Ribeye Pork tacos and a Baja. The food took 20 minutes to come out. The Baja taco was soggy and fell apart the moment I attempted to eat. My partner and I was dressed down and in casual wear and noticed we received treatment differently than if properly dressed. We asked for more tortillas for our salsa and the server went to go do dishes versus what we asked for. There were two managers sitting behind us chattering while we had the "dragonfly" stationed for help. After 10 minutes It took 2 servers to get what we asked for. We ended up checking out and leaving based on the service. This is one of my fav restaurants it I cannot believe the service we received. read more

I don't like the self serve format and I felt there were just too many people sitting at the bar for good service sake or co vid 19 times. But I guess people just wanted someone to wait on them. The outdoor space is well decorated. It's like it's own oasis. But those pork belly tacos are everything. Also, get the Mexican corn. It's all that and a bag of chips. Bartaco is a cute, beach restaurant that serves really good street tacos and some of the best margaritas. Let me emphasize...the margaritas are great and made with freshly squeezed lime juice and what ever fruit they have for the day. I come here pretty often and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of my favorite tacos are the pork belly (slightly sweet touch), Baja fish, and the portobello. You have to order the guacamole as an appetizer because it's fresh and seasoned perfectly. I have also tried the roasted chicken and the chicken soup. Both are bigger portions if you looking for more food. They validate parking in the Inman Quarter parking garage or you can always grind street parking. They are a cashless restaurant. read more

Got a small guac that came with a whole piece of tortilla chip. It was something new -- various tacos like beef, pork belly, salmon, chicken, and shrimp. I like the beef asada the most. I got a sour beer in a can ( $7), and my gf got a cocktail. I said, skip the beer since the cocktail takes more effort to make. We forgot to bring our parking ticket to get it validated. Parking is $6.50 no matter how long you park with each additional hour $1/hr added on top. I like the experiment, and this is the cleanest and most westernized sushi restaurant I have been to. I previously left a negative review for poor delivery portions. I decided to give this place a shot in person, as I basically don't get delivery at all anymore. The menu looks a bit different, so they seem to have made quite a few changes, and overall it was night and day different. Very very good tacos, good appetizers, nice pricing on everything involved, and great drinks at the bar. The bartender (Amani, Imani, not sure the spelling?) was super friendly and very attentive. This was an absolutely horrible experience. The last thing I want to do in a restaurant is look at my phone the entire time that I'm there. The food was also less than stellar, I had the lobster salad lettuce wrap, which was ok but forgettable, and a grilled shrimp taco that was about the size of my thumb. Thankfully, I wasn't very hungry. I ordered the chips and salsa, the chips are one big tortilla That tasted stale like something that would come in an old El Paso taco kit from the 90s and the salsa was overwhelmingly vinegary. This is one of the worst experiences I've had in quite some time. I could not believe that the restaurant was actually mostly full. It's in my neighborhood so I'm really disappointed. I've lived in Midtown Atlanta for 14 years and have experienced all types of service the industry in Atlanta has to offer. I first came to Bartaco back in 2012 and didn't have the best experience due to the slow service which I took into account as they were new into the area. I wanted to give it another chance seeing how I've recently moved into the neighborhood, and brought my family here. This experience was absolutely horrible. After being ignored at the bar for 15 minutes, our table was ready and I was hopeful. Also note, this restaurant is self service ONLY. You'll get the occasional passing waiter who brings your food or drinks (within the hour). The whole ordering through the QR code thing was a good idea during the pandemic, but that was 3 years ago. Get the SERVICE INDUSTRY BACK. During our 3 hour dinner, we had to check on our order with the Take Out station multiple times who was VERY helpful! Which when the food did finally come, everything was cold. The management was also nice and attentive, however it seems they're understaffed and the bar staff needs to be retrained on service. All in all, I would maybe come here for drinks with friends as it does have a good atmosphere in the standing area but I would not recommend coming here for sit down food/service. read more

The cucumber salad and plantains are also great if you are not in the mood for tacos which I've never met anyone who doesn't want a taco lol . Also if you want the corn (you want the corn.... trust me) you can write on the menu that you want it off the cob if you don't want to bite into it . I've tried all the tacos and all of them are great . So try one of each until you find your favorite . Also they come on corn tortillas but you can get flour by request only . yes it's nice to pay on app. No it's not nice to make your guest search for you to ask for needed items like Togo box before checking out or after. the service industry is getting more and more obvious that it's used for humans to be talented at choosing when they want to be mean. For what ever reason they never came back out to check to see if we needed anything at all after our order was brought to us we never got checked on after that. As we watched servers go to tables inside but never once to us out side after we received our order. I decided to go in and try every taco that was either vegetarian or had cooked seafood. I was informed by the server that there is a secret oyster taco. I wasn't brave enough fo try it but judging by the tacos I ate it was probably good. My recommendation for anyone who only is vegetarian or pescatarian would be the miso cod, Brussel sprout taco, and crispy shrimp taco. Done with bartaco. We've been coming here for years, since bartaco opened in Inman Park. We won't be back. It was sliding before covid, now it's a total mess. The servers are trying their best: it's not their fault. The system they are using doesn't work. They are still using QR code menus and ordering, so you are effectively ordering takeout that you then eat at a table in the restaurant. If you want something you'll need to wait a good long while for a server to notice the little blue card at your table that you've mounted on the metal pole meaning "I need something". They are understaffed, so that will take time. Your food will be cold when it arrives. Also, you won't get everything that you ordered so you'll have to get a servers attention if you want it. Time to get your blue card out. Once you've had your dinner and you want to leave, you pay using your phone. BUT, if you need an adjustment to your bill because something you ordered didn't ever come out? Better get that little blue card out again and be prepared to wait for a manager to fix it. Oh, and your drinks will come out well after you've gotten food at the table. Lastly, if you go to the bathroom you'll get to walk through what looks like the new employee lounge, which is one half of the restaurant that is no longer being used to seat customers. Instead, employees are leaving all of their stuff here, including half-eaten meals, dirty dishes and trays, laptops and clothing. Not sure what's going on here, but this place is a total mess. I'm guessing that the target market is young intown professionals who want margaritas and a bit of food. Given the 4 star rating, I'm guessing those customers don't care about any of the above so maybe I'm the outlier? Either way, we're done with bartaco. read more

Waited for a table, but met Dan and sat at the Bar! Starting with the freshly made guacamole and freshly made chips... should have ordered a large! Daniel James aka Dan aka DJ aka the best bartender in the ATL hooked us up! This man knows the menu and can explain every item in delicious detail and personalize your experience. We enjoyed, with Dan's encouragement, the rib eye taco (a lil spicy), the falafel taco ( with a certain spicy kick of coolness) and the shrimp ban mi... damn good! The place was busy so it was hard to get the bartender's attention. I had to ask for a straw and napkins. I didn't like how the staff handled opened paper straws by touching them with bare hands..even near the opening where you drink from..yuck! Seems this place is overrated and filled with lots of young ppl who frequent here. It got really crowded the later it got with ppl standing around the bar waiting for a seat.
