There wasn't a long wait time, I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender/waitress quickly handed me a menu and allowed me to peruse it. I was able to put my order in and receive it fairly quickly. I ordered: -- Salsa and Chips: Roasted Tomato Chipotle Sauce -- Margarita Flight: Blackberry, Guava, Tropical and Strawberry -- Sweet Corn Esquites: Chipotle Crema, Queso Fresco Lime -- Guacamole: Avocado, Tomato, Red Onion, Cilantro, Lime Juice The Roasted Tomato Chipotle Sauce was spicy, yet not thick enough for me when I think of salsa. Still tasty. I asked for the Guacamole to see how that tasted with the chips. The guacamole was creamy and thick. I should have asked for a container of it to go. The Sweet Corn Esquites was delicious and I tried not to wolf it down. It was creamier than others that I tasted. Would definitely order this again. The Margarita Flight was top notch!! Loved it. I enjoyed being able to sample the different margarita flavors available. The liquor was STRONG and I was feeling nice after drinking them all. The bartender/waitress was friendly enough to charge my phone behind the bar when it died. I'm so thankful for that. This was our first time trying Chicheria. We came around 3ish pm, so late lunch and early dinner but there were still a few people dining at that time. We didn't have a reservation and it took a minute for the hostess to find us a table, in a pretty empty restaurant. When we were finally seated, it was a rough start for us. It appeared there was only one server in the section we were seated and he wasn't informed that he's also taking care of our table. We probably waited 10-15 minutes to even get served water. By the time our server stopped at our table, we've perused the menu enough where we ordered everything we wanted to eat. We did try the esquites, I got the coconut shrimp tacos and my husband ordered mix tacos with fish and pork. A manager did come up to our table, introduced herself and as an apology for the wait, said would comp our starter, which we very much appreciated! We thought the esquites was good - it had a nice smoky flavor, creamy and cheesy but it wasn't served with chips for some reason, so we did ask for some and did not get charged for it (not sure if that's typical). The coconut shrimp tacos were delicious, but I wish the coconut crust was a bit more crunchy. The tacos could have used a bit of spicy crema too, to balance out the sweet flavor. They also make their own tortillas and you can tell with the chew and mouthfeel. We thought all we ate was good, just wasn't a good start with the service. First time at Chicheria Mexican Kitchen celebrating my goddaughter's 24th birthday and we had a great time! The space is beautiful--very large with tons of natural light. Even though most of our party of 9 arrived late due to traffic, they still seated us with no issue, which I really appreciated. Our waiter, Sasha, was attentive and patient. The Tres Playas appetizer was a HIT! And surprisingly, I even enjoyed the guacamole (which I normally don't like). Chips were fresh and crispy! The entrees looked amazing but fell a little short on flavor for me--my fajitas weren't sizzling and lacked that bold Mexican flavor. However, others in my group loved their food, especially the fish tacos, and my son raved about his blue corn chip steak tacos. Margarita flights were just okay. Prices are a bit high, but that's expected for the area. Overall, a solid experience with great vibes and service--just a few hits and misses on the food. 4/5! read more

Last night I visited ChiCheria at Chattahoochee Row right across from Your 3rd Spot. I made 7pm reservations on OpenTable and a notification popped up that is was trivia night hosted by Dirty South Trivia. There is a parking garage directly across from the restaurant that is Residential and Public Parking. 1st two hours are free and the 3rd hour is $5. If you enter the restaurant from that side where the bar and patio are, you just walk straight through to get to the host stand. I ordered the tropical margarita and my friend ordered the classic which was a $10 special. My drink was good but not very strong. We ordered the Queso and Chips w/ jalapeño's for our appetizer. I absolutely loved the queso, although it could have been hotter. It got cold and congealed really fast. For our entrees I ordered the Chimichanga and my friend ordered the California Burrito. I really enjoyed my Chimichanga, the portion was huge and the Chicken Tinga was tender and flavorful. My friend ate his burrito but he wasn't wowed by it. I gave him a piece of my chimichanga and he agreed it was really good. For dessert I ordered the Chocolate Tres Leches. At first bite, I thought hmm this is an interesting flavor. I continued to eat it and fell in love. The frosting was creamy and the strawberries on top were so fresh. Trivia was fun and we had I think 6 rounds or maybe 8. Chicheria is the best gluten-free restaurant in Atlanta! Our service was not the best, as I had to wave down our server a few times when we were out of drinks and queso. The food and beverages make up for it, so I will not give four stars, but 5. Their cocktails are tasty, and during Christmas they have an extra-themed Deink list. I like their spicy Margarita with a tahini rim. There's cheese dip, one of my favorites at any Mexican restaurant, and they have the best chips. The chips are thin, yellow, and blue corn chips with a perfect amount of salt. I was extra hungry and decided to get the two-taco plate with rice, black beans, and their excellent salsa. I decided on the coconut shrimp as my protein in my tacos, which is fantastic, and their blue corn tortillas don't fall apart, even if your taco is very juicy. I probably should've just gotten one taco because I ate a lot of queso. read more

Just to add the cherry on top, all you can eat brunch buffet on the weekends--if that isn't on your 2026 BINGO card, you should definitely add it. As you can see in my photos, the buffet offers an abundance of options and don't worry, this was not my only plate! Mexican hot chocolate, tamales, a few soup options and everything you can imagine from wings to a fajita bar, they've got it. Service staff members were superb and so friendly. Since it was a buffet, our encounters with our actual server was limited to drink refills but can confirm we not once had to ask for a drink refill! Atmosphere is very clean but festive, and if the weather is right, I definitely recommend taking a seat on the patio and watch folks enjoying the Beltline trail. I absolutely loved Chichería and I wholeheartedly cannot wait to go back! We had a fabulous time as a family. We went for dinner and tried their Tasting Menu with a Margarita Flight add-on. We felt like we had a feast. They started us off with an array of fresh chips and salsa (made in-house), Cesar salad bites, Baked Oysters, and the Snapper & Coconut Ceviche (not my favorite). Entrées were all tacos, we ordered the Coconut Shrimp, Salmon al Pastor, Carne Asada, Carnitas and Chicken Tinga. Finally for desert, home made ice cream and chocolate Tres Leche. Oof! We savored every bite! The service was great. Our server was so attentive and kind. She continuously joked around with us and was always ready to assist with recommendations. The place itself feels chill and comfortable. It's clean and well decorated and perfect for a night out with friends or family. So I was in the Chattahoochee food hall area but didn't find anything that I wanted. So I ended up going to this Mexican spot right across from it. It was pretty good. I had the fajita. Really good environment as well. So in the area you have to pay for parking but it's a parking structure there if you want to park in a covered area. You have a period of time where you get complimentary parking so just keep that in mind. But at the same time, after that nothing is free. The spot itself is on the corner, you really can't miss it. The bar isn't too big but it's just the right size I guess, but the area that you can sit in is a lot bigger. Bigger. Because you have indoor and outdoor seating, that makes a big difference. On a nice day. Outdoor would probably be ideal. The fajita I had was pretty good.. You can get several different variations of it, started from chicken to shrimp or whatever the case may be. They bring you all the bells and whistles so that was pretty good. The fries were good as well but they were fries, not like it was anything out of pocket But I wanted something to snack on before the food got there. While the queso and salsa were fine, the guacamole was very bland and lacked seasoning. It tasted like plain mashed avocado and needed more flavor. I also had the chicken enchiladas, which did not impress me. The dish just did not have the depth of flavor I was expecting. Overall, the service was the highlight of the visit. Went to Chicheria for their Sunday brunch buffet to finish off our weekend trip to Atlanta. We had heard great things (mostly on social media), so we were very excited! Arrived right at 11, and a line quickly formed behind us to be seated. The hostess was a bit frazzled, but we were still seated within 5 minutes or so. Our server, Valeria, was friendly and informative -- we were surprised to hear that the whole restaurant is gluten free! The buffet itself was pretty impressive. I'd estimate 15ish food options, in addition to a colorful toppings bar (cilantro, pickled onions, sauces, etc.) with 12+ options, 3-4 dessert options (the chocolate torte cake was fabulous) and even some drink options (horchata, hot chocolate, agua fresca). I am a little picky, but they had a great range of options for every palate. The germaphobe in me also loved that they served the food to you, instead of letting everyone dish out their own. All of the food was good, but nothing super special. Overall, I feel like $40/person is a bit steep, but we still enjoyed it and will likely return. I have very reactive celiac disease and was pleasantly surprised to find this 100% gluten free restaurant in midtown. We had the dip trio... awesome! For entrees, chorizo smash burger, shrimp quesadilla with fries, and pork enchiladas verde with grilled zucchini. The zucchini was my favorite of all. I struggled to choose what to order, but if I make a trip back, it will be the short ribs and mole. Everything was great. Service was attentive but not overly. Every time we eat here, it's a hit! No wonder, one of the original Chefs won a Michelin star at his last venture (Juan Guillermo Hormiga). The burger was bland for what I was expecting. Salsa, queso, and guacamole was nothing special. Just an FYI, blue chips taste like yellow chips. Son had the burrito. He said the meat was sparse. Daughter in law had the ceviche. She liked it. Wife had street tacos- 2 for $19. Way over priced average Mexican food. There are plenty of other places that is much more reasonably priced. We visited Chicheria again last Sunday! It was a nice day, so we decided to sit on the patio. Since we have ordered from this restaurant plenty of times, we had an idea of what we wanted. However, we were informed by the waiter that some changes had been made to the menu, which we were unaware of before our visit. There were some positive changes: the restaurant is now a fully gluten-free kitchen, the prices seem a bit more reasonable, the plates come with sides instead of requiring à la carte additions, and they offer daily happy hour deals at the bar. Unfortunately, there were also some changes we were sad about: there are no longer churros available, and the blue quesadillas have been removed from the menu according to our waiter. Overall, there were more positive changes than negative, but we really miss the churros. For our entrees, we ordered the gourmet tacos, which allow for mix and match options: baja fish, salmon pastor, carne asada, as well as a shrimp quesadilla and sweet corn esquites. The quesabirria is not a part of the mix-and-match option; you need to order it all quesabirria if you want it. All of our food was enjoyable, but my shrimp quesadilla had more tortilla than shrimp. Hopefully, they will bring back the blue corn tortillas quesadillas. We also ordered two organic margaritas, and they were good. We hope they continue to improve the menu while keeping some of the original items. We look forward to visiting them again in the future. read more

I've visited multiple times but more recently went for the Rose Garden menu which was their valentine's themed menu. I sat at the bar because it was valentine's day and they had many reservations. This was the first time for me and my brother to dine here. The restaurant is beautiful and the dining area is setup nicely for intimate groups of two or larger groups. The parking deck is located down the sidewalk and controlled by Park Mobile which provides the first two hours of parking for free. Adding extra hours is subject to dynamic pricing which can be quite expensive during peak hours. The food and service are excellent and a great value when compared to the food and beverage prices in the main food hall area. My brother and I shared an order of the chis with salsa, guacamole and queso dip. We also shared the order of the chicken mole enchiladas with rice and beans. We ordered margaritas plus the margaritas flight. Everything was delicious! Our server was super friendly and efficient. Bathrooms are non gender and large and clean. Welp. I was a bit disappointed in the food here. We came here Sunday around brunch time, our server was friendly and accommodating so most of this review is regarding the food. My friend ordered the carne asana tacos that came with black beans and rice. The portion size was insanely small (never seen a sample size portion like this served as a side for the taco plate). His carne asada tacos were greasy and he didn't really care for the flavor (lack thereof). He didn't enjoy the black beans - wish he would have received more of it. I ordered the chilaquiles with eggs fried hard and without crema. The salsa and chips that the eggs were on top of were very salty, that I just resorted to using the chips served with our salsa as opposed to the chips my meal came with. The draw here I think was for the drinks (they have bottomless mimosas for brunch and lots of margarita options). read more
