We arrived right when they opened and were the only ones there, greeted by a warm and friendly face. I was a little skeptical at first, but I had heard great things about the food. I ordered three tacos: steak, beef picadillo, and chicken chorizo with egg. I was completely blown away. These were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time, and somehow each one was better than the last. The flavors were rich, deep, and incredibly satisfying, instantly making me a fan of this place. My wallet is lucky I don't live nearby, but I will absolutely be back. .

Came here with a massive group, was worried we'd overwhelm staff but they took care of us so well!!! The vibes were great, being a restaurant right off the Beltline. The food felt very authentic and fresh. The service was fast and attentive to our needs. The guacamole was incredible I just wish it came with more!! The carne asada were so good!! The carnitas was almost sweet but it was perfection. I would love to come back for a fast dine in service.

The tacos at Comunidad Taqueria are absolute fire! Each one is loaded with bold, vibrant flavors that hit from the very first bite. Simple and seriously satisfying - what more could you ask for from a taco?

A really nice experience! Parking- be advised, there isn't a parking lot nearby. There is plenty of street parking around the area but consider walking, especially on a nice evening! Atmosphere- this neighborhood needed a chill Mexican restaurant. The experience is great. Order at the counter (main entry is from the door facing highland ave) and you bring a number to your table. The outdoor seating is so cozy and chill. I really really enjoy the vibes. Food- overall solid. Nothing stood out as particularly amazing but for the price you get a solid meal that scratches the itch. Chips and guacamole- for $7 you get a decent portion of guacamole for two people. The chips aren't super salty but do taste fresh. Carne Asada taco - packed with juicy flavorful beef and a nice pico. You get a nice size taco for $6. We do wish there was a second tortilla underneath Big hoss- comes on a flour tortilla (recommended) and was also packed with meat and great flavors. This was definitely better than the carne asada Chicken quesadilla- holy smokes this portion was huge for $12. It was totally worth it and super super cheesy. They give you 4 full stacked slices. The two slices underneath did get really really soggy, so I'd recommend taking those two out first. The service was perfectly attentive. We definitely will return especially for the quality and price.

So excited they did something with the old Highland Bakery location!!! I came here after a run with some friends on a Saturday morning, which was great because they weren't too busy! It's fast casual which is awesome. I got 2 of the breakfast tacos plus one of their homemade conchas. I got the breakfast taco with bacon and eggs and the chorizo and eggs one and these tacos are small but mighty!! They pack them full and they gave me some great sauces to go with them. The concha was delicious I went with the strawberry and hibiscus flavor and you could tell how fresh it was and super soft! The staff was super nice and constantly checking in on us. I am super pumped about this place and now I can't wait to go check out Poco Loco!

This place has been all over social media and it was time that I tried it. They are located where the old Highland Bakery was. There is no designated parking but tons of street parking available. It's counter service, so you order at the counter and they give you a number, so the servers can find which table to drop your order. I ordered a cup of the chicken soup, pollo asado chilaquiles with salsa verde and my husband ordered 3 tacos (forgot what they each were though). They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. It was a nice night so we opted to sit outside. Where we sat was super loud though, so it was hard to hear (the speaker that was blasting music was above us), plus mix in traffic noise and people chatting around us. We waited around 10-15 minutes and our food came. I was overwhelmed with the chilaquiles - it was huge and easily shareable. The chips tasted homemade but also tasted the grease it was fried in. I did Google that chilaquiles are a traditional Mexican breakfast, and if I had one request - please add a fried egg. I was missing that on this dish. The soup was rich and warm, perfect for a beautiful fall night. It had tons of hominy and chicken topped with cabbage, tortilla chips - not like your mom's chicken noodle soup. My serving didn't really have that much liquid but was filled with toppings instead. My husband enjoyed his tacos, but were too salty for his liking. I personally thought their food was mediocre and nothing too memorable. My husband went back to the counter and ordered a Cadillac margarita and tres leches for dessert. He liked his margarita. Tres leches was okay, a bit too sweet for my liking and some parts of the slice I got was super dry. I would say that service here was wonderful. We were greeted when we were walking to the register to order our food. One of the servers even offered to grab me a to go box when she noticed my half eaten food still sitting on my plate.

We had such a great brunch here! I tried the tacos--fish, mole brisket, and carne asada. They were delicious and about the price I'd expect for the neighborhood. We sat on the (quite large) uncovered patio and had no trouble finding a table for our party of three. Great people-watching, too. I am excited to go back and try a few other items from the menu.

This might just be my new favorite neighborhood restaurant! Service is quick/friendly, food is incredible, drinks are awesome, and the price range is very very fair! I've been telling all of my friends about it, can't wait to go back!

Excellent service! Beautiful, colorful patio with a ton of seating. Really cool mural on the inside!!! Super affordable prices and cheap sides. It's full service now and it used to be order at the counter but you can order to go! Playlist was epic too

I've been here for brunch and dinner so far! Loved them both. For brunch, I came in on a Sunday morning and we got a few breakfast tacos and the pancake to split. The pancake was so amazing! One of my favorite in Atlanta now. For dinner, we came in early on a Friday - around 5:30. We easily got a seat on the patio! We got the nachos (a happy hour menu item) and the chicken quesadilla. We didn't get drinks this time, but would love to come back! Parking is a bit tough - only street parking. But we didn't have an issue. Highly recommend checking them out!

Long time fan of Poco Loco and so excited about the opening of Communidad! Great atmosphere with plenty of indoor/patio seating, quick service, and delicious food. The breakfast tacos are killer and the burrito for lunch is just as good. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

We really liked our first visit and plan to go back. The staff is very friendly, especially the servers. When you first walk in, it can be a little confusing because there's a small amount of space and two registers. The register on the right is for coffee drinks only, and the one on the left is for food service(at least this was true this morning). Once you order your food, you get a number and they bring it to you. Coffee is self-serve and plentiful. There were two pots of regular, a decaf, and a coffee of the day which, today, tasted cinnamon-y. They have almond milk, oat milk, and whole milk. I would have loved half and half, but the whole milk is probably more authentic. For food we got a smorgasbord. My favorite dishes were the masa harina pancake and the Big Hoss molé taco. Whew! I'm still thinking about the taco--the meat reminded me of my favorite taco joint in LA. They make their own tortillas which I was really excited about--for me the corn tortillas were the winners--the flour tortillas tasted overworked--still good, but not that soft, buttery, Mexican tortilla that I so crave. I think this place is great, and I love the vibe.

    Salsa Verde Chilaquiles

If I was paying to eat the ambience I'd give this place a 5/5. It's lively and vibrant. The decor is, "day of the dead", themed this month as a cultural homage to the Mexican holiday; after all it is a taqueria. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the food. The priority seems to be aesthetic and presentation at the expense of simply put - good tasting food. I ordered the chilaquiles. Half of the tortilla chips were cold and the other half were steaming hot. The salsa verde was decent. However, it lacked any semblance of spice, was citrus-forward and cantina style so a very thin consistency. Ordered two breakfast tacos as well. One bacon, potato & egg. The other chorizo & egg. The tortilla was the best part. The rest was nothing out of the ordinary, in fact, it was very ordinary. When you're paying more than $5 a taco you just expect more, at least I did. Verdict: If you're going for vibes then I highly recommend, but if you're looking for good eats at a decent price point then it's a pass. Heritage decorates the walls and doesn't ever make it down to the plate.

Real Tacos was a great late-night stop and definitely lived up to the hype. We both ordered the $10…read moretaco meal (with a small $2 upcharge for some premium meats), and the value was excellent. I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. We'd definitely come back the next time we're craving tacos and margaritas.

Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that?…read more The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I think I saved this spot due to some friends recommending it. Pretty decent food for a gas station…read morespot. The hubs choose x3 shrimp birria tacos while I had the beef birria quesadilla. I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
