I came back here exclusively for the guacamole! FANTASTIC! I visited the original (?) location a month or so ago and couldn't stop thinking about the chips and guacamole. When I went back and was told they were temporarily closed as they relocated I was SAD. Seeing the new location open and poppin today made me smile. I'm not sure the chips were as fresh and I was disappointed to not see the little warmer device with chips on display as they did at the other location but still the guac was worth it. Sooo happy they are in the West End!! REAL TACOS. Plenty to choose from, and plenty of seating even on the patio where you can bring your dog and take a walk on the beltline. Perfect location. I had the shrimp taco and shredded beef, the beef was a little spicy, but very good flavor. Excellent service, the Food came out quickly and fresh. I'd love that. They serve you. We went to El Tesoro for the first time on Cinco De Mayo. We had to stand in a line which didn't look long but moved at a glacial pace (about 40 minutes) to order our food. There was only one person taking orders. Additionally the bar outside moved at a glacial pace. When the food arrived everything was delicious. There are multiple spaces and the outdoor space was nice. I would definitely go back because of the food taste/quality but pack your patience if it's during peak hours. read more

I really love the atmosphere and the service that I received at this place and walking in the cashier was super friendly and helpful, and every employee that passed by me, spoke to me. It was even at one point that I think the owner was there and I was standing there and he was like hey are you OK? Have you been out so very outgoing and friendly staff so let's talk about the food so I've been on a very specific mission to find the best Carne Asada in Georgia because I'm a southern California girl and more important I'm a San Diego girl. If you know anything about San Diego, we will argue with anybody professing that we have the best Mexican food in the world and although the Mexican food that I've eaten in Atlanta has some really good flavor the burrito that I have on this place out of town, the meat was seasoned perfect too perfection. I made modifications to their burrito to make it more like what I like from home so I removed the rice and beans and guacamole and pico de gallo and I think that impacted their rendition of the burrito. I will say that they use a much better grade of meat than what issues in San Diego. I believe they use flank steak and that is more expensive. However, I was disappointed by the amount of meat in the burrito and I think they overcompensate it with a guacamole and so that impacted the score I would've given them a five out of five, but I understand that if you're used to filling a burrito with rice and beans and somebody's just wanting meat, you're not gonna just fill it up with with meat will I ever eat here again maybe but if I do, I will order the food as they have it listed and not try to make modifications and I will go in there understanding that it is on the higher end of prices for Mexican food than I'm used to. I'm not used to paying $19 for a burrito and $22 after tip not saying I won't. I'm just not used to it, especially when I thought that the amount of meat was really low there salsa although I thought it was strange it was in a packet was 10 out of 10. I hope this helps. Delicious tacos!! The food here was great, the menu has a lot of options and there's a nice drinks selection as well. I got asada tacos which were so good, the tostada was only okay. Parking was kind of a nightmare but there's a small gravel lot across the street, I'd recommend going earlier for dinner there's always a long line but it goes pretty fast! Had the bulldog margarita thing was a little expensive and not very spicy however, the Mexican mule was great. After doing a bike ride, I stopped here at El Tesoro, which is located inside of the Lee+White food hall in the West End. This place has a very nice vibe, especially for a spring-summer evening. While the restaurant is inside a building, most people prefer to sit outside on picnic benches or stand on tall tables. We ordered different varieties of tacos and a burrito to try, and everything tasted really nice. The nacho with salsa and guacamole were probably my favorite. The salsa had a nice kick to it, without being too spicy. The service took a little while, but considering the sheer number of people there, I think that was to be expected. In the middle of a beautiful neighborhood there's a sweet little spot. It was busy but while you wait to order you can enjoy a nice drink from the bar. People are so friendly. This is a newer location in West End. The service was deplorable. You order at the bar, get a table number, and wait for your food, either outside or inside. There was a huge line of about 20 people and only one slow, slow cashier in her early 20s. Another employee stood next to her but there was no alleviation of the line. Why it took two employees to take an order is beyond me. We waited 30 minutes in line and 40 minutes for our food. We didn't want to go elsewhere and so we stuck around. My friend and I ate outside on a bench. The exterior ambiance was nice, with a good number of people. My friend ordered a quesadilla and I ordered the tostones + guac and a soy chorizo burrito. The food was incredibly good. Both entrees came with a tongue-searing green sauce, which I loved but how do non-ethnic people do it?! I went inside to the counter and got more. They also use the cheapest possible plasticware that has a hole in the handle part of the knife to be eco-friendly but so far from practical. My friend's knife broke in half trying to cut his quesadilla. On a Thursday night it was packed, and it took us 10 minutes to find parking in a massive parking lot (just do an aerial view on Google and you'll see what I mean...). People are generally nice and friendly. However, since they are restaurants, they lack knowledge about food. Yes, food! They don't understand or train their servers and managers about what constitutes vegetarian and vegan options, especially regarding dietary needs due to health, allergies, religion, or spirituality. While restaurants aren't obligated to cater to these preferences, they should clearly understand what is vegetarian and vegan vegetarian-friendly category and indicate it on the menu so customers can make the decision eat there or not. When the item says vegetarian, it means they consume milk and Milk products. Some even unfertilized eggs. But do not consume animal broth, fat or any product used or processed by killing an animal. Vegan further refined to eliminate milk and products including honey. For both, it is not acceptable to cook or fry along with the animal products. This place use lard (pig fat) ,chicken and beef broth but never indicated it. Even after checking with waiter and manager, they failed. Sad we couldn't even enjoy the chips which they fry along the animal products. Please fix this so we can come back and recommend it to my family and friends. read more

Terrific food. I have been to both locations and while on a scaled down version (likely either bc the location is newer or the kitchen is small) the things they do they do well. Also, let's be clear - first and foremost this is Wild Heaven's Brewery first and foremost. I have had tacos and really enjoyed them as well as the guacamole. Chips are fresh. Some have complained about parking. El Tesoro is inside of Wild Heaven and there's about 5 breweries in the Lee+White Complex, multiple restaurants and bars. Also, it's next to the Westside Beltline. Several groups park at Lee+White to walk/run/bike on the trail. Lastly, parking is free. Rarer and rarer in Atlanta these days given the ease of parking apps. Some have also complained about wait time. It's a small kitchen in a brewery. In the neighborhood, our businesses max the use of the space. One consequence is a restaurant inside a brewery will have a kitchen that can't meet the demand as fast as a full service restaurant. This is likely why the menu is more limited vs El Tesoro's other location. So yes, plan to wait. Others complain there are no margaritas. Well, Lee+White is open container. Go to Boxcar or HopCity and get a margarita across the street. Bring it back over to Wild Heaven and enjoy it with your El Tesoro food. It's tough because El Tesoro is inside a brewery. Wild Heaven did just start selling wine, though. And perhaps they'll sell margs soon enough. In summary, great food inside of a brewery that is part of Lee+White. The entire complex is open container, other places sell margaritas. And if you want El Tesoro to go with your beverages the small kitchen means you'll likely have to wait. And if you like tacos and the like, the wait will be worth it. read more

Ordering at the counter was a breeze. We ordered the steak nachos with guacamole. The steak was well seasoned and the portion size was generous. It was enough to feed at least 3-4 adults. We split it between two adults and a toddler and still had some leftover to take home. The food here is great! I'm leaving this review because if I went based on the other reviews of the food I wouldn't ever eat here. But I had two burritos and guacamole and the two burritos were some of the best I've had in a while. And it's very affordable for the amount of food especially given it's right on the belt line. It's also vegan friendly. I had one of their vegan burritos (I'm not vegan) and it was one of the best vegan things I've had. It also didn't make my stomach hurt like slutty vegan and some other soy based vegan dishes do. Also it's dog friendly. I stopped here with my dog on a break from a long walk/run on the belt line. Only warning is they are not afraid of spice. The guacamole was spicier than I like but my gf loved it since she likes a lot of spice. They just don't take the seeds out of the jalapeños that they put in the guac. Lastly the coffee shop here is quant and nice if you come during the day. read more
