The food also came out within 5 to 10 minutes of ordering. The chips and salsa are so good. The chips taste homemade. Not like your regular Mexican restaurant chips. The salsa is also very tasty and thick. I bet it is made in house, daily. Order the Barbacoa Mulita. The meat was very tender, and the Mulita was so flavorful! I was afraid that the portion would be small so I ordered a side of rice and beans. Definitely did not need the side of rice and beans. But they were good. Also ordered a Horchata to drink. They have their own branded hot sauce that comes in a commercially-made packet; with an El Tesoro label and everything. The plastic on the packaging is surprisingly hard to tear and the sauce packet itself is overstuffed. So when I finally got it open, the hot sauce gushed all over the place. In trying to clean up myself and my surroundings, I reached for a napkin from the dispenser but the napkin tore apart under the stress of being removed. The next napkin in the dispenser did the same. The napkins had no integrity and just kept ripping... so it took me about 1000 of them to clean up the sauce mess... The staff is friendly & engaging, and effective. Which is refreshing. Tip your bartenders and servers. The prices are beltline, but no different from the original location... the Lee/White location itself is a little warehouse-y and gives you the feeling that there is definitely a wall between you and the other side of a food hall... Well, the food shocked me by how unremarkable it is - in appearance, aroma, & flavor... is the food at the original location actually any good? Or were we just thankful for their patio in 2020? Everything feels and tastes incredibly authentic, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. The Food: Absolutely stellar. My absolute favorite lunch meal here is the Mulita Barbacoa De Res--the flavor is incredible. Also, the street corn is a must-order standout side! The Setup: They have a nice touch with self-serve water jugs and cups readily available for guests, which is super helpful.The Atmosphere: My only real complaint is the indoor seating area. It is not very comfortable, it feels like there is no air conditioning running. Since the space isn't entirely open-air either, it got pretty stuffy and hot inside. I came back here exclusively for the guacamole! FANTASTIC! I visited the original (?) location a month or so ago and couldn't stop thinking about the chips and guacamole. When I went back and was told they were temporarily closed as they relocated I was SAD. Seeing the new location open and poppin today made me smile. I'm not sure the chips were as fresh and I was disappointed to not see the little warmer device with chips on display as they did at the other location but still the guac was worth it. We went to El Tesoro for the first time on Cinco De Mayo. We had to stand in a line which didn't look long but moved at a glacial pace (about 40 minutes) to order our food. There was only one person taking orders. Additionally the bar outside moved at a glacial pace. When the food arrived everything was delicious. There are multiple spaces and the outdoor space was nice. I would definitely go back because of the food taste/quality but pack your patience if it's during peak hours. read more

I really love the atmosphere and the service that I received at this place and walking in the cashier was super friendly and helpful, and every employee that passed by me, spoke to me. It was even at one point that I think the owner was there and I was standing there and he was like hey are you OK? Have you been out so very outgoing and friendly staff so let's talk about the food so I've been on a very specific mission to find the best Carne Asada in Georgia because I'm a southern California girl and more important I'm a San Diego girl. If you know anything about San Diego, we will argue with anybody professing that we have the best Mexican food in the world and although the Mexican food that I've eaten in Atlanta has some really good flavor the burrito that I have on this place out of town, the meat was seasoned perfect too perfection. I made modifications to their burrito to make it more like what I like from home so I removed the rice and beans and guacamole and pico de gallo and I think that impacted their rendition of the burrito. I will say that they use a much better grade of meat than what issues in San Diego. I believe they use flank steak and that is more expensive. However, I was disappointed by the amount of meat in the burrito and I think they overcompensate it with a guacamole and so that impacted the score I would've given them a five out of five, but I understand that if you're used to filling a burrito with rice and beans and somebody's just wanting meat, you're not gonna just fill it up with with meat will I ever eat here again maybe but if I do, I will order the food as they have it listed and not try to make modifications and I will go in there understanding that it is on the higher end of prices for Mexican food than I'm used to. I'm not used to paying $19 for a burrito and $22 after tip not saying I won't. I'm just not used to it, especially when I thought that the amount of meat was really low there salsa although I thought it was strange it was in a packet was 10 out of 10. I hope this helps. In the middle of a beautiful neighborhood there's a sweet little spot. It was busy but while you wait to order you can enjoy a nice drink from the bar. People are so friendly. This is a newer location in West End. The service was deplorable. You order at the bar, get a table number, and wait for your food, either outside or inside. There was a huge line of about 20 people and only one slow, slow cashier in her early 20s. Another employee stood next to her but there was no alleviation of the line. Why it took two employees to take an order is beyond me. We waited 30 minutes in line and 40 minutes for our food. We didn't want to go elsewhere and so we stuck around. My friend and I ate outside on a bench. The exterior ambiance was nice, with a good number of people. My friend ordered a quesadilla and I ordered the tostones + guac and a soy chorizo burrito. The food was incredibly good. Both entrees came with a tongue-searing green sauce, which I loved but how do non-ethnic people do it?! I went inside to the counter and got more. They also use the cheapest possible plasticware that has a hole in the handle part of the knife to be eco-friendly but so far from practical. My friend's knife broke in half trying to cut his quesadilla. On a Thursday night it was packed, and it took us 10 minutes to find parking in a massive parking lot (just do an aerial view on Google and you'll see what I mean...). I can't imagine what it is like on a Friday or Saturday night. And I won't go to find out. read more
