Saturday night with my girl and this was just what the doctor ordered. We missed PCM (they close at 9 PM) and this was the closest option with music, food, drinks and a nice atmosphere. All booths and outside tables were full so we sat at the bar. Our server was pleasant by bringing us menus and taking our drink orders promptly. The drinks are served strong so take your time! We ordered chips and guacamole, the salmon entree and the veggie bowl with grilled shrimp. The presentation of the food was very nice. The flavors weren't memorable. The shrimp seemed over cooked and it could have used a cilantro-garlic or hot sauce. Overall, to park for free, late hours, no reservations needed and good drinks - I'm surely going to return. Recommend to lovers of Mexican food and margaritas!

Tacos & Tequila in Midtown delivers a lively atmosphere with top-tier bar service! Watched the All-Star game with drinks constantly refilled and even got some complimentary shots--bartender was on point. The vibe? Always buzzing with good company, making it a great spot to kick back and enjoy the evening. Food leans Tex-Mex, so expect some hits and misses--birria tacos were a 3/5, consomé a weak 2/5, but the queso with jalapeños held up at 4/5. Margarita pitcher? Solid 4/5 for the price. Rice and beans lacked flavor (2/5), so stick to the crowd favorites and come for the drinks--you won't be disappointed!

This order was done as a takeout. I had a craving for Birria Tacos. This particular flavor of Taco is very distinct and not all places make them the same. If the flavor is not there then you don't have anything bit meat and a corn tortilla. TThis place did not disappoint. The meat was tender, juicy and richly flavored. The consommé should always steal the show. This one was very flavorful. There was enough for me to share. I have to say the orser was also packaged well. The staff was quick and I didn't have to wait very long for my order either.

Came here for dinner last night and sat on the heated patio! It was chilly outside but the heaters kept us plenty warm. We were able to watch football on the many TVs and it wasn't as loud as the inside was which was really nice. We had a really wonderful server (Sebastian M) who was so attentive and friendly. The food came SO fast after ordering. Overall service was great. The food was pretty good too! The chicken tortilla soup was HUGE for $9 and I appreciated having so much avocado. My fiancé had the beef enchiladas which was $12 for a huge plate of food. He said they were solid, nothing too special, but it was a lot of food. The enchiladas weren't too hot when he received them which was the only little issue. We also had the plantains appetizer and they have an agave syrup on top which makes them extra sweet. I think I'd return again on a night we want to watch a game and get a big meal for an affordable price!

I give it 3 1/2 The service was superb. Gary was our waiter. Very attentive and helpful. I had shrimp and fish over rice with a cheesy Mexican rice. It was good. We were celebrating birthdays and they had plenty of good drinks. They had plenty of big TVs to watch the game. Nice, clean we came straight from church

My friend and I came here on national margarita day. Big mistake cause we waited 40 min at 8pm! We were seated right by the live dj and it was so loud I couldn't hear my friend talking across the table. It was fun though. We were started off with chips & salsa which were good but the salsa could've had more flavor. I got the enchiladas verdes and they were nicely filled with lots of chicken. The rice and beans lacked flavor. My friend's chicken chimichanga was good. I ended up having leftovers since the enchiladas came with 3. The margarita was good. I would come back here when it's less busy and not as loud.

Food: Great Service: Awesome Ambience: Cool This place is always a great spot to hit up when you're in athus area. Free parking too however, be careful that you don't park & walk across the street to Ponce because, I noticed various cars that's had been booted upon me looking for a parking spot. Which made me read the parking sign & the sign clear said to NOT park your vehicle & leave your car if you were not patronizing this shopping center's businesses.

Came here with the bf after he took a late flight into Atlanta and it turned into a really fun night! I had no idea this place was so big inside and has a live DJ?! I actually thought the music was a little too loud at first and I had to turn my whole head so my ear was towards the waitress to even hear her, but after half of the jalapeño margarita I didn't care anymore haha. This is the place you can come and sing out loud and nobody bats an eye, a couple actually danced catty-corner to our table and everyone clapped after! Just good vibes and good times, and the DJ was playing all sorts of hits that brought me back to my teenage and undergrad years, I loved it! Our waitress was so sweet, she explained the menu, was super patient with us and just overall seemed like a cool person. The food was also pretty tasty, even the chips and salsa in the beginning held its own. I enjoyed the margarita. It was very large and it felt like my Everest finishing that (like Joey on Friends in that thanksgiving episode)... I do think they possibly overcharged me for the margarita - the bill listed it as like $27 which I didn't realize any drink could cost that much, I might as well have ordered a pitcher at that rate, but I was pretty satisfied otherwise and I figured maybe they brought be a double or something, so I didn't bother with it. If you're looking for some decent food in a casual place with easy parking and a loud DJ then this is the spot to go!

Decided to visit again on a non holiday and once again the service just wasn't up to par. It was very slow to order, get drinks, food, etc. Drinks here are good, don't get me wrong, but I don't see myself coming here specifically for the food or even the service.

I stopped here for a quick solo dinner. I didn't expect it to be a party! Be prepared for lively music with a good vibe! I ordered the loaded queso with chicken, shrimp and steak. This could've been better for me and unfortunately was the only thing I tried. Service was just alright too.

This place is super pretty - I love the outdoor seating - it's a covered area with plenty of ceiling fans - the inside is dimly lit with plenty of seating and a huge bar - the food was amazing - tastes really fresh and portions were plentiful - the service was quick and efficient - when u walk in you have the option of using the staircase or elevator - plenty of parking the lot is huge - be careful about parking where you shouldn't they have people in the parking lot watching and you will get booted

I had been wanting Tacos for dayssssss and finally we ended up at Tacos & Tequila for dinner. As it sits in the plaza there is ample parking which made it perfect as it was a few of us and we drove separately... Upon walking through the door and heading up the stairs, the ambiance is very vibrant. As my visit was during the evening hours the lighting was dim but not intimate. Once I arrived at the hostess desk, the hostess greeted me with a smile and a warm hello. As we were a party of 3 we were able to be seated immediately. After being seated Chips & Salsa was delivered to the table immediately. As a heads up, don't get full off the chips & salsa. LoL! The salsa is super fresh, mild and the perfect style of chunky. The tortilla chips were fresh and warm and were salted well enough to be eaten even without the salsa. It took a while for our server to come to our table. By the time Cezar arrived we went ahead and ordered our drinks, appetizers, and main course all in one shot. (That should tell you how long we were sitting and waiting!) I decided on the: Beef Empanadas - Appetizer Fresh. Crispy. Meaty. Well seasoned. Very filling. Served with 3, making them perfect for sharing. Southern Tacos - Main Course (This dish comes with 3 tacos, rice, and beans.) The tacos were AMAZING! The chicken was well seasoned, perfectly fried and moist. The fixings were super fresh and balanced out the taco as a whole. The slice of avocado was a great compliment to the taco as a whole. It added a layer of texture profile as well as added a well blended balance to the charm of the southern spin on a Mexican dish... The rice was over cooked and bland. The beans were standard but when mixed with the rice provided as an optional flavor change from having just the tacos... During the duration of stay there were a few areas of opportunity that caused my visit to not be a 5 Star experience: 1. My party of 3 received 2 sets of silverware. When it was realized and a third set was requested, the wait was an extended waiting period. 2. The sauces that were requested during the ordering process did not arrive with the meal. As such, we had to track down our server to inquire about the 2 sauces only for him to return with 1 of the 2 and we had to again request the other sauce. 3. The attentiveness of our server was minimal. During our 40 minute visit he checked on us twice. Though twice in 40 minutes isn't a bad ratio, it was the timing of the check-ins. They were so far apart that it made the service experience lack luster. 4. The music was super loud. To the point that it was uncomfortable when trying to engage in normal conversation. Overall my experience was acceptable to warrant another visit, however, I may consider just doing a To-Go option as the tacos were really good.

    They have a parking lot

    Is there outside seating?

Yes! They have a large patio. Tables are all spaced out. When I went (in November), they had the patio covered. It may still be covered, but there is a breeze and it's open at the ends.

    Gluten free options?

    Not really sure!

They hold a jazz night every Tuesday with live music for a nice chill, yet fun, vibe. Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

Italian Steakhouse Says It All - The Best of All Worlds…read more Walked into IL Premio on a Monday night and was told there was an hour wait for a table, so I headed to the bar- fortunately, a seat was open. I started with one of my favorite Reposados by Herradura. For my Crudi, I ordered the Ricciola alla Puttanesca, what i thought was going to be a classic Italian seafood dish that traditionally features ricciola (Italian amberjack) in puttanesca sauce. The menu noted it was made with yellowtail, which piqued my curiosity. I expected the ricciola to be pan-seared or lightly grilled and finished with the sauce, or served with the sauce spooned over the top. To my surprise, the dish arrived as thinly sliced raw yellowtail, presented sashimi/crudo-style. Each slice was topped with a small amount of sauce infused with capers, Taggiasca olives, Calabrese chiles, and possibly sun-dried tomatoes, all classic puttanesca ingredients. Microgreens completed the presentation. This could be described as a "ricciola crudo with puttanesca-style garnish" rather than a traditional cooked ricciola alla puttanesca. Essentially, the chef uses the puttanesca flavor profile (capers, olives, chiles, tomato, oil) as a raw topping instead of cooking the fish in the sauce. While it's raw, it's a modern, crudo-style interpretation inspired by puttanesca flavors and I'm a fan. I'll order it again and again. For my Secondi, I had the Risotto ai Funghi, a classic Italian dish featuring creamy arborio rice with shiitake and hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushrooms and a hint of lemon. Served piping hot, it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed another Reposado by Herradura. IL Premio is so much more than a steakhouse. The food is thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is refined, service by Janlan was excellent and it is a fitting restaurant for an outstanding hotel property.
