We came home from our Medford trip to a wind storm on Tuesday, I am so grateful that my son's family is SAFE in my old home! Thanks to Collier Arbor! Collier Arbor recommended just the one tree removed because it was damaged beyond saving, and trimming the other trees to keep my property from further damage. I also asked for another other tree, one which hangs over the house, to be removed. Upon removing the damaged tree the arborist from Collier Arbor, Kyle, found the tree next to it was also damaged and had a split in it. Kyle called in two more Arborists to come out to see if that tree could be saved (arborists are all about saving trees and the beauty they provide) but all the experts concluded that the second tree wouldn't have survived another wind storm. So three trees were removed and the one that had all those damaged limbs hanging was trimmed nicely. My husband, Eric, surveyed the removal project, as well as enjoyed watching the crane used to assist in removing the trees. Eric, my neighbor, Matt and my son, Chris, started chopping and stacking up the wood as the trees were being removed and trimmed. I then received an added bonus, the total bid from Collier Arbor was $12,444.00, which I signed immediately after I received it, the same day I received Farmers' insurance letter awarding us around $7,500.00. Kyle from Collier Arbor called me on Wednesday and told me the actual cost came in at only $9,937.50. Thank you so much for excellent immediate service. We have 10 tall Fir Trees around our house and property. During a recent wind storm, one of the trees, which had grown into two 'arms' at about 80 feet up the tree and continued upward for another 60 feet, suffered severe damage. One of the 'arms' was ripped off. This left the remaining 'arm' still in tact, but weaker. Another wind storm could take it down and damage not only our property, but our neighbor's, as well. We asked Bartlett Tree Experts to have an arborists take a look. Russell came out and walked our property, examining every tree. He then told us how his company would fell the damaged tree. Because of the location of the tree, it being on a property line right close to three other pieces of property, dropping the tree would be very difficult. Russell explained how his crew would secure the remaining 'arm' of the tree and drop it directly into an area without damaging any shrubs and other trees. Complicating matters for us, as property owners, we had a 3 week trip scheduled and would not be home during this project. Bartlett Tree Experts did exactly what they said they would. The removed the top 60 foot section and dropped the whole thing exactly in the spot where it wouldn't do any damage. An excellent job done by this company and crew.
