Absolutely Fantastic! We went there for the first time for brunch today and the food and the service were top notch. We had the Smoked Trout Bene and the Baked Eggs. They were Excellent! We met Rhea, the manager and co-owner (along with her husband, Chef Alex Bartolo). I am an honor graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and cooked in fine dining establishments for many years. The Bartolo's have given attention to making every detail of the menu, the quality of the food, and the service a great experience. My son and I were passing through town on the way to the airport in Salt Lake. We read the reviews and decided to give Bartolo's a try and I'm so glad we did!! It was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is up to date and comfortable. Our server was Alex, whom I believe is the owner...that was what was on the card she gave us. She was so warm, gracious and gave us excellent service. Our food was delicious and the portions generous. The only downside is we live in another state so we can't become regulars. Solid Italian food in a nice contemporary and relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly servers. The Italian sodas were excellent but the focaccia appetizer was a little crumbly like it had polenta in it. Chicken Parmigiana was very good although the fettuccine was over cooked and under seasoned. Nice, open, bright dining room. Service was excellent and attentive with a smile. Salad was very good. Not over dressed. Thin trout cut in half was cooked too much with too much oil. Also, too salty. I recommend to keep the trout steak in one piece. Take off the skin on one side only instead of slicing it to keep it crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. Brazillian beef tenderloin was cooked to a good medium temperature. However, too salty. Chimichurri was also too salty. Need to ease up on the salt and lemon juice. When we walked in, we felt everything was set in place. The atmosphere was inviting, with lovely details scattered throughout the establishment. Our course started with a delicious salad, topped with a delicate vinaigrette. From there was a flavorful shrimp spaghetti, paired with a homemade peach soda. We ended our brunch with a tiramisu, stuffed to the brim. I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, and will definitely be returning next time I am in Park City. My only critique is to offer free refills on the peach soda. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

We were in Deer Valley and the kids wanted some Italian comfort food so we made the 15min trek back towards Kimball Junction. Bartolo's is a nice casual and kid friendly place. We brought wine, I forget how much corkage was but very reasonable. The octopus was tender and focaccia was good. The kids bolognese was a bit different but they didn't seem to care for it and opted for the pesto radiatori. If you prefer a little kick with your pasta, the Shrimp Spaghetti with Calabrian chili hit the spot. read more

First off I will say the food was good, which is why they get the second star but the service was really strange. We sat down and were promptly asked if we would like "still or sparkling water" which I thought was a fancy way of offering water. Then about 3 minutes later someone else came to our table and asked the same question. Ok. Fine. Water came and then the process became a lot less refined. What would you like to order was the next question. I said we aren't quite ready but would like some drinks and she seemed off out that we were not ready to order after being there for about 4 minutes. I said can we order drinks or an appetizer. (Shouldn't that be the first thing they ask?) is he pulls out this handheld POS system punches our order in and reads it back like I was in a McDonald's drive through. Food came and everything was good. Not great, good. I might have the count incorrect because I started keeping track after it got weird but I think we were asked about 17 times how everything was. I expect it a couple times but this was weird. It started to feel like we were being rushed. We finished our meal and sat there with empty plates and empty drinks for 20 minutes while they asked us another 4 or 5 times how everything is. I finally said it's great for the hundredth time but we have been waiting for a check. She went and retrieved her little handheld pos system and brought up our bill and printed it. I handed my card and she swiped it handed it back to me and and handed the pos to me with a tip screen and stood behind me looking at the screen while I was expected to fill it out. I said can you print it and give me some privacy. She said that she couldn't. I said fine you get a tip but I'm never coming back here to be put in this awkward situation again. Let me be clear, I tip well and have no problem doing so but this is poor etiquette. Gratuity is for a job well done which they did but I felt like it was the equivalent of somebody holding their hand out when they are done helping you. Lose the fast food service if you want my business. 71 dollars for 3 bowls of pasta. read more

Had the pleasure of eating a delicious lunch here and meeting the chef owner and getting a chance to chat with him. So nice and approachable, It is clear he loves what he does and puts that love into each plate. He has a fresh pasta machine and makes it daily. The Decor is modern, simple open floor plan surrounded by windows so it is bright and fresh inside. There is an open kitchen to see the chef at work and a great water machine they fill your bottle from delicious filtered water. We had an appetizer, salad and pasta dish each one more delicious than the next. We were to full to try any dessert but are excited to go back again. The staff was so kind and helpful you definitely felt welcomed. They served breakfast and lunch dinner not available when we ate there but looking foreword to try it! read more

We are on the perennial quest for good Italian food in Park City, but we keep getting disappointed. Bartolo's has modern, spare atmosphere, but friendly service. Our hostess recommended their bread, so we ordered the focaccia, which was dry and stale. The croutons on my Caesar salad were also so stale that they were inedible. My husband's pork schnitzel was quite tender and flavorful, but my pork belly ravioli was not good. It had tasteless shredded meat wrapped in underdone pasta. I can't even remember what the sauce tasted like. We'll continue our quest for good Italian food, but Bartolo's isn't it. read more

OH MY GOD! I am so glad I stumbled upon Bartolos! I couldn't recommend a better breakfast/brunch restaurant. I had the blueberry pancake... yes singular because the thing was huge! And absolutely delicious. It was not like any other pancake I have ever had. It was probably about 2 inches thick and was just incredible. It was so moist and full of flavor. We also had bacon and a fruit bowl. The fruit was all super fresh and perfectly ripe. The bacon was delicious, but I mean does bad bacon even exist? My boyfriend had a dish with trout and I believe pouched eggs (some sort of egg). I didn't try any of his, but he inhaled and spent the rest of the day raving about how good it was and how fresh the trout was (we're from a small fishing town on the east coast so when traveling more inland, we get a little snobby about the seafood). The wait staff was super kind. This place truly was incredible! My only complaint is that we didn't find Bartolos earlier in our trip because we absolutely would have went for lunch or dinner. read more

I ate a baked blueberry pancake that was the most amazing thing I ever ate. Jona was our waitress and she was great. She made three amazing coffee lattes. My wife had a waffle made from fresh vegetables. My daughter had baked eggs. We also shared a peach caprese. Wow. Had no expectations. Read no reviews. The Eggs Your Way dish I had was unreal. Homemade sausage was one of the best I've ever had. Gluten free toast was sooo good. Eggs were cooked perfectly. They have a good kids menu, only flaw is that they only do spinach Alfredo as not regular. Even the butter pasta was divine. The charcuterie board had amazing flavors. We've been here twice-once for brunch and then back for lunch. Both were outstanding! We had the baked eggs, chorizo biscuits and gravy, and the blueberry pancakes that was recommended by our amazing server. Everything was so great and the pancake was the best pancake I have ever had. It was like a dessert and full of flavor! It's amazing! For lunch we had shrimp spaghetti, rigatoni, lamb with pasta, and a kids blueberry pancake. It was all amazing and the adults finished the kids pancake when my son couldn't finish it! We also tried the tiramisu and I highly recommend it. read more
