Armed with 'Yelp' recommendations, we hit one of the restaurants in the area for lunch. Once our bellies were full , we did some more exploring of the area shops and came across 'Robert Marc' Optical store. Although it was Saturday and the store was busy, we were still greeted by the store staff (David and Roman). My friend was being helped for a new pair of glasses by David , which we all really liked, and meantime Roman and I had some small chat. Roman noticed that the pair of glasses I had needed adjustments- and volunteered to help to adjust them. To be honest, I felt awkward since the glasses were not purchased at 'Robert Marc', and the optical shop I did purchase them - the optician tried adjusting in several different occasions to no avail - leading to me getting strong headaches here and there. But Roman noticed the way my eyeglasses fit me and suggested me a solution in which I Agreed. Roman Inform me what exactly he going to do, tried a few things until he was sure I was absolutely happy with the results and the way the glasses fit me- FREE OF CHARGE! ( My local Optician couldn't do it ). Roman also showed me a Cat-eye Sunglasses which I fell in love with but unfortunately everything in Robert Marc outside of my pay range. Since I really appreciated the time and service I was given, I offered Roman a tip for his trouble- which he politely refused saying he was just doing his job. I definitely understand NOW why Robert Marc stores considered high end. I highly recommend the store to my friends, such good and friendly service is a rare commodity these days!

I arrived at the store, checked in and then was met by a really annoying staff member. She first fussed with me over what I was having done when my email confirmed an eye exam for glasses. Then she wanted to know why I was getting the AI service. Idk, perhaps because regular eye exams have been serving just fine and perhaps I don't feel like being taken advantage of for an extra $40-$50 . I did the exam and the optometrist was really sweet. She was even ok with my new rescue chilling in the room ( and her nails were ). She confirmed that my vision hadn't changed yet there was a heavy recommendation for me to get transitional. I was all the way confused since that's not my current prescription and again, NOTHING changed with my vision. The difference between regular glasses and the recommendation was $350. Talk about a rip off. I am all for businesses making money but it's clear that the patient/ clients are no longer being considered. They look at the benefits, see what you have and concoct a plan to scape it clean. I placed the order for the glasses on 8/19 with 5-10 business day arrival and so far nothing but a series of confusing emails with the wrong name/ order and other emails trying to clear it. Expansion is fine if we stick to the moral codes of operations. Do better Warby!

Well, as it turns out, I have cataracts developing. They could easily have sold me $300 glasses, but they said " you don't need glasses, you need an ophthalmologist." So I made an appointment for next week at NYEE. Meanwhile, the people there could not possibly have been nicer, kinder or more welcoming. Both the young woman who administered the tests and the optometrist who reviewed the results and explained them to me, both are extraordinarily professional and caring.
