    Both my husband and I were in the field for glasses full time. We both never wore glasses before. We went to another reputable glasses company and we were not happy then we decided to visit SEE in soho. We walked in and was greeted with the nicest smile I have seen in a long time with customer service. Latoya was assisting someone but she advised us to look around and that she would be with us next and she did exactly what she said. Her customer service is second to none. The quality of the product exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with LaToya professionalism also the ambiance. Latoya was not only professional but she is highly skilled. It is evident LaToya loves her job so much that you probably will come away wondering is she the owner.     This is my second order because I loved my first pair so much. I was looking for a great looking pair that was also within my budget. I am Asian and I have a wide face. I need glasses that fit my low nose bridge. The order was made with the understanding that the fit was incorrect but that nosepads would be placed to correct the fit. The reason I purchased the glasses was because of the offer and acceptance of that nosepads would be included in the price, and because they are essential for proper fit, I wouldn't have purchased them had I known I wouldn't be getting nosepads with the glasses. But then the pandemic hit-and prior to shutting down their shop they mailed out my glasses to me April 2020. Normally, you have an opportunity to discuss the situation when you pick it up, and ask for a refund if you're not satisfied. Because of the pandemic, they shipped it out and closed the store for SEVERAL MONTHS. With all the time elapsed, they told me no refunds. Had I known of the cost of nosepads, I would have picked a different pair. I am currently unable to wear the blue pair and I am left unsatisfied and hundreds of dollars wasted. When I put it on, it hurts my head side and slides down my face because I have a low nose bridge. I have astigmatism, so I start to felt nausea if I wore it too long, making it uncomfortable wear. So I put them down and never wore it again, waiting for when the store reopens to fix it. My first pair are size 54/19/140 and the new ones (blue) are 47/23/150, but they flex a bit. See images. After NYC phased re-open allow retail, I follow up on nosepads they tell me it'll cost an +$80 on top of my $300+ bill. The sales guy doesn't work there anymore and they can't ask him to verify and no notes left behind. I said: "I got the CORE collection which is the more affordable line. why wouldn't he mention the expense if he was planning to charge" Staff then tells me" "we have a separate facility and we charge everyone per the policy and have to send it out. That the sales guy was not the kind to not charge people." If that were the case why wouldn't he charge me before the glasses were ordered? Why wait till after you get the pair of glasses if it was already established that the pair doesn't fit right? I've literally only worn those new glasses once. I am left with the impression that what SEE Eyewear wants is your money and will tell you whatever you want to hear to close the sale, and don't care if it's a poor fit. RUN AWAY! The person who assisted me with the first pair no longer work there, but she was wonderful and worked with me to find a cost-effective solution. The others used shady sales tactics and are not transparent with you on the price. They will warn you not to go to ZENNI/Warby/EyeBuyDirect.com to get glasses online because they aren't going to be customized the way they can do it. They will bring you to the MOST EXPENSIVE items first and shower you with compliments. They will say things like: "it won't be on the shelves for long" and tell you they only make # of copies of the frames. I've had to schedule an appointment at 5:30 for viewing and they called you several times asking "where are you?" at 05:31pm as I'm around the corner to the store. My partner came by about 30 minutes later and my partner told me the some of the styles we picked out didn't fit me AT ALL, but happened to be the most expensive ones. I don't trust the sales team and you shouldn't either. Once you realize what they're doing, it lessens the appeal of returning to this location ever again. I got a pair of virtually unwearable glasses and I feel mislead and scammed. The Dr. who did my vision exam was amazing and patient with me, I would see her again. The sales team at SOHO? Never again.

    They have the best, most unique frames. I get so many compliments. Also Latoya was so helpful when I needed to change my prescription.

Stopped by after work (super grateful they have time slots for 6pm)- Dr. Stoica was very professional and personable, and took time to explain how my eyes are doing. She provided me with a referral to another specialist who could help me with an eye condition that's been on the horizon (like that hazy little house you see during the eye exam...!), so will hit them up next on my journey to not so terrible vision. Just great customer service across the board- if you're looking for an optometrist/glasses/contact lenses/a vision test for the DMV so they stop sending you guilt inducing reminder emails, look no further.

I was given no hassle when I arrived with a script in hand and only needing glasses. They were the only shop from my multi-month search that had even one pair I was willing to consider wearing for the next year, let alone the three I found. The prices are great. Even if you were paying out of pocket, Westway prices things reasonably. Their OOP price for the glasses (with lens treatment add-ons) I chose was equal to what I've paid at other places after all the insurance coverages and discounts were calculated. Oscar never once pressured me with an upsell to get a second pair of glasses or sunglasses, and he gave really solid recommendations after quickly catching on to my sense of style. And my finished glasses were ready in less than a week! As if that weren't enough, Oscar effortlessly passed the test I do every time I shop for glasses. I go to the women's section first. I wait for someone to redirect me to the men's section. I say something like, "You never know what you'll find...", and I await their response. Oscar's? "Ok!" And he chilled behind the counter until I was ready. Many thanks to the team at Westway for nurturing such an inclusive and safe medical and retail environment. If you need glasses and can get to this part of Manhattan, the only place to be a patient and a client is Kips Bay Optical. From the truly evaluative, real time spent, thorough, thoughtful, and all questions answered you leave with no stress or agita (Italian for heartburn and anxiety) appointments with Dr. Soto, to the honest recommendations regarding vision insurance (because not everyone's policy includes that (ahem, Anthem)), to the wide ranging in styles and price choice of frames, it is truly a pleasure to be a patient at Kips Bay Optical. Let it be said that eyeglasses, like jewelry, is an emotional purchase. When my prescription changed and I needed to get new near-sighted lenses, Paul and Stephany were as patient and honest with me as the best bespoke personal shoppers as I tried on easily 20 pair. I trust them in the same ways I trust Drs. Soto and Pekarsky. My trust began in 2008 and has only increased over time.
