We came here specifically for wings, but unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. My friend and I waited about 15 minutes at our table without anyone coming over to take our order. We figured maybe we needed to go to the bar, so we moved over there, but still weren't acknowledged. After waiting even longer, one of the guys behind the bar finally asked, "Can I help you?" I explained that we had been waiting for service since we were seated at the table. At that point, we had been in the establishment for over 30 minutes without being able to order anything. We ultimately decided to leave. It's disappointing because we came in ready to spend money and enjoy some wings, but the lack of attention and customer service made us feel completely overlooked. Hopefully, management can address this because customers shouldn't have to wait 30+ minutes just to place an order. read more

I've been here a handful of times, and the food is always good. The burgers never disappoint. The drinks, especially the fish bowls, can be watered down at times. The atmosphere is great. There's plenty of TV's. Security has been cool. Bartenders aren't usually super friendly or talkative, but luckily for me, I'm always there with company. read more

Nice place to hang out and have drinks, but food wasn't it for us. Went to watch the 49er game & it was packed! Great vibes, a dj playing during commercials, & a ton of tvs! Thankfully we were able to call in and make a reservation ahead of time. Drinks are good, a little pricey, but average. We ordered the deep fried pickles & i was real sad, they were sooooo salty! Food is good. Service is not, at all. It's actually wild. Food sits on the counter unattended instead of being served and you have to ask for it and are then you are handed your cold food. One specific bartender is inattentive and forgetful and does bot seem to have customer service skills. I visited Bar West recently and had an overall great experience! We arrived around 1:30 PM, just in time for their bottomless mimosas deal for $14 until 2 PM--a fantastic bargain. After about three mimosas, I was feeling a little tipsy, so they definitely get the job done! Later, I ordered a few mixed drinks and shots, which were equally enjoyable and well-made. For food, I tried the chicken tenders and nachos. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside and tender inside--and came with a side of fries. My friend had the chicken club sandwich and thought it was delicious. However, the nachos were a mixed bag. Two of my friends ordered them and were surprised by the portion size, which is big enough to share. While the flavors were good, the toppings felt haphazardly thrown on top, with not enough cheese evenly distributed. They had to request extra cheese, and for an additional $4 the meat was a bit cold and chewy. It would've been better if the nachos were better presented or if some of the toppings were served on the side. Though I did not get to try their entire brunch menu. I would like to come back and give that a go! Another friend ordered sliders, but unfortunately, they didn't come with fries. When they ordered fries separately, the serving size was very generous--easily sharable. Unfortunately I didn't get to snap a photo of every dish but will try to get some more in next time. We visited on a game day, and the atmosphere was lively but not too crowded until about 3:30 PM. they have tv's everywhere so you're not missing out on anything! I also learned that the venue turns into a nightclub later in the evening, which I didn't get to experience yet. The service was excellent, with attentive staff checking in regularly. While the food was enjoyable but not amazing (I'd rate it 3/5), the overall experience--thanks to the drinks, service, and ambiance--deserves a solid 4/5 stars. Hi, I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit during happy hour. I came in around 3 PM and ordered a fishbowl drink and fries, and my bill came out to $53.95. The biggest concern was the drink -- it was extremely watered down and tasted like juice with barely any alcohol. I've visited before and had a much better experience, so this was disappointing and didn't feel worth the price at all. I'm not a heavy drinker, so for me to notice how weak it was is a concern. Always a good time at Barwest. It's a great downtown spot to watch sports and meet up with friends for drinks and food. The servers aren't just there for their looks, they actually care about service and do a damn good job at it. The wings here are really good. I plan on trying their lemon pepper next time I'm here. The buffalo flavored wings were top notch and chicken had a great crisp to it. The fries were perfect and I'd go back just for those. Plenty of beers on tap as well as TV's to watch any sport. DON'T GO HERE. THEY HAVE NO COMPASSION. My friend fainted at the bar, and the security guard asked her to leave because she was "drunk." We couldn't even get the food that we purchased because we were asked to leave. The security guard saw me helping my friend and asked why I didn't go back inside to get the food we ordered. Am I supposed to leave my friend that's FAINTING??? We were fine with leaving, but there was no empathy from security - they were dismissive of the situation. No hate towards the bartender or anything, they were very sweet and nice. But security needs to learn that in these serious situations, you need to at least ASK or give that person water. We were lucky nothing happened, but holy - what a miserable way to treat someone. Please train your security properly. read more

first of all the dress code is anti black. my friend reserved a table for her birthday & they gave us a table upstairs. we asked if we could switch to a table downstairs & they said no. after an hour & a half they closed the entire upstairs so we lost our table which was upsetting because the downstairs was packed like sardines & the only place to sit & rest was outside. one of the toilets in the women's restroom was clogged. the music was good & the most fun part about this bar is that they let you dance on the platforms without making you get down unlike other places. this was my 2nd time there & perhaps my last. read more

My group came to watch the Kings game on a Saturday night, more girls arrived after the game to drink and chill. We all sat at the bar near the front windows that connected to the outside patio. Our Chairs were removed around 9:30pm as it turned into a very crowded night club. We left around midnight after several others in our group were denied entry due to wearing sports attire/jordans. Food was surprisingly tasty. Lemon pepper wings 10/10, burger sliders 10/10, fried pickles 10/10, fries 10/10. Cocktails were not as great as they look - the pineapple jalapeño margarita, disco ball and mule were just ok. We had lots of tequila and vodka shots after that. This place has the best lemon pepper steppas aka Lemon Pepper chicken wings in the whole city hands down!! That's including taste and the size of the wings !! I normally get them breaded but they are delicious naked too!! The staff is always soo polite and good looking as well hahaha the bartenders Be on point too especially during the day time !! i had a really disappointing experience at barwest in sacramento. the place itself is already overcrowded and way too loud, but what really ruined the night was the service--specifically our bottle girl, mehek. she was rude from the start, barely acknowledged us, and had a serious attitude the entire time. on top of that, she added a 20% gratuity (which is expected), but then also gave herself an extra $20 tip without saying anything. that felt completely unprofessional and honestly shady. for the prices they charge, you'd expect at least decent service, but this was the opposite. between the bad attitude and questionable billing, i definitely won't be coming back. read more

Me and my friend came on a Sunday around 10:30AM and there were already a good group of people around the bar in their jerseys. I got the Bananas Foster French Toast. The french toast itself was great, and stayed a good texture doused in the syrup. I wish the bananas were less of a mushy texture. And the heap of whipped cream was too much for me. Ambiance: 5/5 super cute. Recently remodeled so everything looked lively Service: 3/5 sat at the bar and was given water and menus but felt a little rushed. We were given the check right after we ordered. The second bar tender was super nice but we were only checked on once after receiving food because we were already cashed out. Food: 3/5 I got the nachos which were fine. Good portion but not anything I'd come back for. My friend got the chicken tenders which were hand breaded and she said they were really good so might try those if I come back. The prices are kinda expensive on top of that you get taxed an area improvement fee that the city implemented. It's not a lot but still a pain I know they can't control that but their prices I'd say are about $5 more than other places in the area.
