We dined at Yard House after attending my son's graduation at Golden One. The place was packed and we had to wait almost an hour for a table for 7 people. They do not take reservation. Luckily, the service was quick after we sat down and food kept on coming. The only disappointing thing was that they ran out of pizza dough, so we didn't get to try any of the pizza. I was looking forward to the Mushroom Truffle Pizza. We got a bunch of dishes to share. My favorite was the Poke Nachos. Generous portion with extra crispy chips. Tuna was fresh. The sauce was delicious with a mild kick. The avocado and jalapenos made the dish even better. I would also get the Crispy Brussel Sprouts again. It was tossed in a sweet gochujang sauce. Mildly spicy and addicting. The Fried Calamari was also a hit. Nicely fried served with marinara and tartar sauce. A large menu of drinks. I believe it's also a full bar too. Everyone was happy with their wine and beer selection. I had a mango refresher and it was perfect! Great place for large parties. Normally, I'm not the guy to review a chain restaurant, but the service was so terrible, I had to say something. My permanent date, my progenitor's assistant, and I all had decent dishes, but my progenitor ordered a house salad as her meal, and the mixed greens were past their expiration date. Our servers were less than attentive (our initial server went on break, and the backup was no great shakes), the speed was lackluster, and while the manager did remove the cost of the offending item, it seemed as though the service got even slower. While I might go to a Yard House sometime in the future, I will not be returning to this one. read more

Great selection of beers on tap and a large food menu but the lacking service killed those positives. We were seated right away and our waiter got our drink orders out pretty quickly then we kinda got ghosted for the remainder of the time. Getting refills was damn near impossible. My husband ordered a beer and we watched it sit on the bar for 10 minutes waiting for someone to grab it and deliver it. We never got checked back up on once our food was delivered and again, took forever to get to go boxes. I had the Cobb salad with chicken, no complaints other than it needed more dressing. We got into our hotel kinda late so our options for food and drinks were limited but Yard House was walking distance from our hotel. We had a late dinner so we opted for the happy hour beer and some fries. If you ever been to a Yard House, you know they are known for wide selection of craft beers and those did not disappoint. The late night happy hour you can save on drinks but no deals on food. They offer mid-day happy hour 1/2 off select apps, which is a solid deal. I opted for some fries because who doesn't love beer and fries. The fries came out cold/room temp and we ended up sending them back. The bartender heard our feedback and ended up taking it off the bill. Overall, it's Yard House. If you've been you kinda know what to expect. Surprisingly unexpected, something for everyone! Very crowded and busy; lively and spacious. We had to wait for 25 minutes for a table. Server was very friendly and checked in us, refilling our waters and seeing if we needed anything. Great, attentive service. Surprisingly, the menu offers many options that I wouldn't expect but we decided to get some appetizers, first. We had Miguel's Queso and the Parmesan Truffle fries. The queso was so flavorful. The truffle fries were so crispy. Great appetizers! Shortly after, our entrees arrived -- we had the Jambalaya, Lobster Garlic Noodles and Steak Bowl. Portions are so large, very delicious. Forgot to take pictures after waiting long for my food. Got the fettuccini alfredo pasta - added shrimp and broccolini. Good size portion. The broccolini was al dente. Garlic bread on the side was soft. My niece got a kids plate that came out way before my pasta. She finished eating before my food came. Waitress was nice and personable. The food here is extremely plain and honestly pretty flavorless. I don't eat American food very often, but if this is what it's supposed to represent, then it definitely fits the stereotype--safe, bland, and afraid of seasoning. Everything tasted intentionally toned down, as if strong herbs or bold flavors were avoided altogether. The ingredients felt basic, and the quality did not justify the prices at all. It had been several years since my last visit, and I suggested Yard House for a family lunch mainly because it's convenient for large groups with different preferences. In that sense, it works. We had a party of 8 with no reservations and only waited about 15 minutes. The restaurant wasn't packed and was comfortable enough. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing across the board. The mocktail had a strange bittersweet taste that I didn't enjoy for something non-alcoholic. The onion rings were just bad--soft, barely any texture, and zero crispness, which defeats the entire purpose of onion rings. The sauce didn't help. The garlic noodles were just okay and probably the best thing I had, but even then, they weren't memorable and definitely not worth the price. My husband ordered a burger that sounded great on paper--the ingredients made it seem delicious and worthwhile. Of course, I had to take a bite, and even he agreed with me that it was tasteless. The bacon was soft, the burger itself was nothing special, and despite being hungry, he couldn't dig into it like he normally would because it was so mediocre. Our server was nice but clearly inexperienced--flustered, disorganized, and forgetful (we asked for salt and it never came). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you enjoy flavorful food or like trying new things. This feels like a restaurant for people who are comfortable ordering the same safe items every time and don't mind bland flavors. It's fine if you need a place to sit a large group, but beyond that, there's nothing here that would make me come back. I'd rather go to BJ's Brewhouse next time. read more

I met up with friends at Yard House for Happy Hour before attending a concert at Golden 1 Center. We were a group of 6. We are going to order food for all of us to share family style we were told during event they do not do Happy hour. We did not let that detour us as we were already there and we still ordered what we planned to order. We still had a great time and the food and drinks are good. Came in on a Friday evening and were told there would be about a 20-minute wait for two people, but we were seated in closer to 10 minutes, which was a nice surprise. The place was packed and had a lively vibe--if you've ever been to Black Tap at Disneyland, it felt similar in energy and atmosphere. For food, I ordered the ribeye with broccolini and mashed potatoes, and my husband got the cheesesteak sandwich. We also shared the firecracker shrimp appetizer. We originally wanted the hummus, but they were out of the pita bread and said it would only come with vegetables, so we decided to pass (hummus really needs pita). The firecracker shrimp was very good. The entrees did take a little longer than expected to come out, but once they arrived, everything tasted good. One thing I really appreciated was the service--they brought drink refills before we even asked, right as our cups were getting low. I had the dragon fruit lemonade, which I enjoyed, and my husband had a Coke. Overall, good food, great service, and a fun, busy atmosphere. Food and service were good. It has been awhile since I visited this restaurant. They changed up their menu. We came in on a Monday at 11am. Was seated right away. This is actually five stars for their beer, but three stars for their food. I think the prices are pretty high and well my crunchy tuna salad looked delicious. The flavors were just not right. It was so overpowering with salad dressing that it was barely edible. We also got the tuna appetizer, which was just awful in flavor I could not eat that at all. The tacos were extra small street tacos with what they call Beans and Rice, but it was just some OK rice with a splattering of a few beans on top. The food was just so expensive. We walked out of there for $140 for three people and it just wasn't what I expected. The checkout service is done at a machine on each table at you time of choice. The wait staff is running around like crazy, but when you call them over they bring whatever you want they seem to want to please you with doing what they can to customize what you want. Pro tip: I would definitely ask for the salad dressings to be put on the side because they are insanely overpowering. I will definitely return for the Incredible bar, which has so many craft beers that are just wonderful. They do run about 10 bucks each, even for the bottled nonalcoholic standard beer. But the craft beer is worth it. read more

Visited October 8th..see my receipt. This place is modern and expansive! I got there when they opened (11am) and was seated immediately. They have indoor and outside seating plus bar seating. I ordered off their Octoberfest menu. I love my bavarian pretzels! It was large and served with spicy mustard and beer cheese. My friend and I did not like the beer cheese ( it had a burnt taste to it). The manager ( Jeff) came by and explained the beer dip process. He was very kind and professional! We opted for more of the mustard since it was great with the pretzel! We also shared the beer brats that were served on a pretzel roll with grilled onions. DELICIOUS! I had a lavender drop martini which was so refreshing ! My friend had some type of beer ( see picture) and it was very filling. They have a large selection of beers and specialty cocktails. My friends and I arrived on a Kings Game Day so it was pretty packed. Our wait was about 30-40 minutes. Not sure if they were understaffed that day, but it took a while for our drinks to come out and then we had to wait to order food. We had a really good time here tonight. It was bar seating and unfortunately, we missed the happy hour by about four minutes. The waitress/bartender was very attentive, and when she went on her break, the fill-in was also very attentive. The food was good and there was plenty of beers to choose from. We were seated within 10 minutes of checking in. Super friendly waiter as well. Now, let's get to the food. It was absolutely slamming. I had the jambalaya pasta, which is technically pastalaya and firecracker shrimp. The jambalaya is smoky and sumptuous with real, smoked andouille sausage - take it from a Louisiana native and go for this dish. If you order it with white rice, it's not technically jambalaya. Came here for a work bonding dinner this was my third time here, we ordered lots of appetizers the brussel sprouts were delicious with a little spice we also ordered the chicken wings they were really dry and over cooked, we ordered the fried calamari it was pretty good not rubbery at all no flavor, ordered the cheese curds were crispy and good a little salty but it cheese lol, ordered the Asian tacos they were ok. I ordered a whiskey burger and fries the fries were good but the burger was terrible I had to send it back but they took it off the bill, also another co worker ordered a burger and it had a little piece of metal from the grill brush i was so shocked she had to send it back i felt so bad for her. Visited last night and felt the need to comment on the spicy beef noodles I ordered. This dish could be so great, but the quality of the meat just takes it down to a 4/10. Yes it was THAT bad. I can't tell what cut the beef is but I wouldn't even feed this to my dog with the amount of fat and gristle it had. I had to take all the beef out just now as I'm eating my leftovers and I'm still finding bits of gristle in my noodles. Throwing it out as we speak. I've included a picture of the gristle. There were 5 of us dining, some with dietary restrictions, so the orders included the child's meal, which was great, and quite filling with 3 sliders, fries, a salad and a drink. In the past we've had their chicken sandwich and adult size burgers with fries that were hearty and moist. Our server, Kyle, was the best. So attentive, and very nice, making sure we were well taken care of. The manager, John, was also great, making sure we were well taken care of, and spent extra time and made sure everything was right, with the new updated child's menu. Haven't been here in forever so it was nice to see all the new menu items available. We came right at opening so there were no issues with seating or service. I ordered the Korean bbq cheesesteak. I enjoyed the thinly sliced beef, and there was a lot of it, but there wasn't anything cheesy about the sandwich. I didn't get any of the kimchi or cheese flavor, just the beef and gochujang. But otherwise the meat was cooked well which is important. The kids meals had a very generous portion so that was good! It did say it comes with milk and fries but weirdly enough he didn't bring any milk or fries - just a side of fruit. Which ended up being fine since my kids liked the fruit but kinda weird they didn't even ask about the fruit cup choice at all, what if they had allergies to fruit? Overall decent experience, won't be coming out of my way because of the prices and the parking situation but at least there are plenty of menu options to try something else next time! read more

Andrew was at the end of his shift and treated us as if he was going to be the only one helping us. Most cases you can tell the person is thinking well it won't be my tip. Not here though!
