First time at Yard House. Came in right before the dinner rush. We were seated immediately. The food was decent. Nothing extraordinary or amazing about it. The drinks were delicious! Definitely a place you want to stop if you want to watch sports and be close to the SAP Center. Chill and laid back.

Great selection of beers on tap and a large food menu but the lacking service killed those positives. We were seated right away and our waiter got our drink orders out pretty quickly then we kinda got ghosted for the remainder of the time. Getting refills was damn near impossible. My husband ordered a beer and we watched it sit on the bar for 10 minutes waiting for someone to grab it and deliver it. We never got checked back up on once our food was delivered and again, took forever to get to go boxes. I had the Cobb salad with chicken, no complaints other than it needed more dressing. The espresso martini was kissing the garnish. And the sliders were super pink. I probably wouldn't come back for food service. Maybe just sit at the bar and have a beer.

We stopped on for a late lunch and we just made it before the rush of the Ice Skating show. The service was great. Our server was attentive and personable. The food was fresh and hot with such flavor. We enjoyed the onion ring tower because it wasn't overly greasy and the added touch of Parmesan brought it to another level. The breading was light which I appreciated. We shared a stacked turkey club. It was a large enough portion for 2 adults. Their fries are just the right enough crispiness. It became quite busy but not overly noisy

Surprisingly unexpected, something for everyone! Very crowded and busy; lively and spacious. We had to wait for 25 minutes for a table. Server was very friendly and checked in us, refilling our waters and seeing if we needed anything. Great, attentive service. Surprisingly, the menu offers many options that I wouldn't expect but we decided to get some appetizers, first. We had Miguel's Queso and the Parmesan Truffle fries. The queso was so flavorful. The truffle fries were so crispy. Great appetizers! Shortly after, our entrees arrived -- we had the Jambalaya, Lobster Garlic Noodles and Steak Bowl. Portions are so large, very delicious. I ate half of my meal, it was so huge but I enjoyed the meal very much! As it's loud and crowded; with televisions all around; it's a lively spot to hang out and grab a bite to eat. There is something for everyone -- very delicious! Yard House exceeded my expectations; would highly recommend!

We always look for Gertrude at the bar, she is always warm and welcoming. The kind of gal you would definitely feel comfortable with if she was friend off the clock. I always have to see if something is going on at DOCO as I am sure there would be no bar seating.

The food here is extremely plain and honestly pretty flavorless. I don't eat American food very often, but if this is what it's supposed to represent, then it definitely fits the stereotype--safe, bland, and afraid of seasoning. Everything tasted intentionally toned down, as if strong herbs or bold flavors were avoided altogether. The ingredients felt basic, and the quality did not justify the prices at all. It had been several years since my last visit, and I suggested Yard House for a family lunch mainly because it's convenient for large groups with different preferences. In that sense, it works. We had a party of 8 with no reservations and only waited about 15 minutes. The restaurant wasn't packed and was comfortable enough. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing across the board. The mocktail had a strange bittersweet taste that I didn't enjoy for something non-alcoholic. The onion rings were just bad--soft, barely any texture, and zero crispness, which defeats the entire purpose of onion rings. The sauce didn't help. The garlic noodles were just okay and probably the best thing I had, but even then, they weren't memorable and definitely not worth the price. My husband ordered a burger that sounded great on paper--the ingredients made it seem delicious and worthwhile. Of course, I had to take a bite, and even he agreed with me that it was tasteless. The bacon was soft, the burger itself was nothing special, and despite being hungry, he couldn't dig into it like he normally would because it was so mediocre. Our server was nice but clearly inexperienced--flustered, disorganized, and forgetful (we asked for salt and it never came). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you enjoy flavorful food or like trying new things. This feels like a restaurant for people who are comfortable ordering the same safe items every time and don't mind bland flavors. It's fine if you need a place to sit a large group, but beyond that, there's nothing here that would make me come back. I'd rather go to BJ's Brewhouse next time.

We came here for date night on Sat and as you can imagine it was packed but the wait was tops 10 min. The vibes are always right here, dim lighting, a ton of TVs for the sports fans. Staff is always super friendly and help with great recommendations. EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing!!! HIGHLY recommend the spicy edamame.

Came in on a Friday evening and were told there would be about a 20-minute wait for two people, but we were seated in closer to 10 minutes, which was a nice surprise. The place was packed and had a lively vibe--if you've ever been to Black Tap at Disneyland, it felt similar in energy and atmosphere. For food, I ordered the ribeye with broccolini and mashed potatoes, and my husband got the cheesesteak sandwich. We also shared the firecracker shrimp appetizer. We originally wanted the hummus, but they were out of the pita bread and said it would only come with vegetables, so we decided to pass (hummus really needs pita). The firecracker shrimp was very good. The entrees did take a little longer than expected to come out, but once they arrived, everything tasted good. One thing I really appreciated was the service--they brought drink refills before we even asked, right as our cups were getting low. I had the dragon fruit lemonade, which I enjoyed, and my husband had a Coke. Overall, good food, great service, and a fun, busy atmosphere. I'd definitely come back and plan to try the jambalaya next time--I'll update this review when I do.

Food and service were good. It has been awhile since I visited this restaurant. They changed up their menu. We came in on a Monday at 11am. Was seated right away. I ordered from the "under 700" section of the menu. Smaller plates but the dishes still offer a big flavorful punch. The crunchy ahi plate came with smoked veggies and a scoop of rice. Presentation was lovely! I finished the entire plate without feeling guilty!

This is actually five stars for their beer, but three stars for their food. I think the prices are pretty high and well my crunchy tuna salad looked delicious. The flavors were just not right. It was so overpowering with salad dressing that it was barely edible. We also got the tuna appetizer, which was just awful in flavor I could not eat that at all. The tacos were extra small street tacos with what they call Beans and Rice, but it was just some OK rice with a splattering of a few beans on top. The food was just so expensive. We walked out of there for $140 for three people and it just wasn't what I expected. The checkout service is done at a machine on each table at you time of choice. The wait staff is running around like crazy, but when you call them over they bring whatever you want they seem to want to please you with doing what they can to customize what you want. Pro tip: I would definitely ask for the salad dressings to be put on the side because they are insanely overpowering. I will definitely return for the Incredible bar, which has so many craft beers that are just wonderful. They do run about 10 bucks each, even for the bottled nonalcoholic standard beer. But the craft beer is worth it.

Pro Tip: sit at the bar for quicker service stopping in to grab a drink and bite before a movie/game/concert. The burger was delicious, the ahi tuna chips didn't have much tuna but was well seasoned. The spicy chow mein style dish used spaghetti noodles which was interesting.

Another Yard House awesome! Each location is awesome and different. Sooo many beers on tap and amazing food. Quality of an upscale restaurant but at an affordable price. Fantastic service at the bar.

My second time here, and they do not disappoint. Good service and food. It's Friday and a bit busy, but our server was attentive and didn't forget about us. There's something special going on with those chicken nachos, love the sauce!

How much do they pay bands?

    No bands

Is there outdoor seating? I don't see that in the description - would be great if you made that clear. Thanks.

Yes they do offer outdoor dining. If you have a dog it has to be a service animal. Hope that helps:)

Do you have a private room for 12 people?

    Yes they do

How busy are you at the bar prior to events at Golden One i.e concert or show?

They are busy it gets packed very busy the whole place is full

Does the food taste any good it looks like slop on the pictures and the portions are very very small I think I'll pass on this one am I wrong?

It is standard chain/pub fair. I've enjoyed most of the meals I've had and I really LOVE the poke nachos. The portion size is decent. I'd say give it a try once and even ask the servers what they think of certain meals. If they're luke-warm on… Read more

I dont need to make a reservation correct?

Not at all. AND - if there's a wait, you can usually walk up to the bar and sit there.

Is there a future possibility to order thru door dash, grub hub, etc?

Hey Julie. We can't say for certain, but we'll pass your suggestion along to our team.

    Does Yard House offer brunch?

Hey, Alfrieda! We do not offer our brunch anymore, but we do open at 11am and have brunch items on our regular menu, such as Nashville Hot Chicken, Avocado Toast, mimosas and bloody marys.

Do we need a reservation for happy hour? Coworkers and I want to come, about 8 people.

Although we didn't go during happy hour and did make reservations for our party of 8, the place is huge! You may not need a reservation but I played it safe because I didn't want to get turned away.

Does Yardhouse use an app to show wait times?

    Yes

Are you playing the NBA finals?

Hey Amy! Yes, we will be.

    Can people under 18 go?

Hey Tayha! Yes. People under 18 are welcome at our house.

    Is Yard House dog friendly?

Hi there! We only allow task-oriented service animals.

Do they have a separate area for large parties/reservstions?

No. What you see in the building is the all the space they have

How noisy is it during lunchtime?

Why are you named Yard House? Silly question but had to ask anyways!

Not a silly question at all! In fact, grab a drink and sit by the bar with us as we tell the tale of our origin story.… Read more

What is the parking like in the area?

Park at the multi level parking garage right next to Macy's on 3rd between J and L. It's $4 per hour but Yard House validates for 2 hours. (This garage is different from the small lot underneath Macy's off of L.)

Do you guys validate parking if I park in parking garage?

They give a QR voucher that's good for a few hrs

    Do you serve corona premier?

    Yes

I'm excited to try this place! I see there is an outdoor area - can someone confirm they are dog friendly?! Thanks!!

I don't know for certain but I would guess yes. There is plenty of room and everyone was super nice!

The fare is Mediterranean inspired in a classy mid-town vibe. THE PROS: Wonderful ambiance. Our server, Ferzan, was top notch, both with her service and suggestions. Upscale casual with lots of high end touches. Live jazz and some classic style harp music the evening we were there. We each had a cocktail, split about small plates, and did a dessert. There was not a bad dish in the bunch, but my wife and I agreed the stand-out was the Filet Mignon skewers. Delicious. Cooked perfectly with a wonderful parsley/onion garnish that made an amazing flavor combination. THE CONS: Only a few very minor things come to mind: The shrimp dish, while quite tasty, was a bit salty. A couple FYIs: The lighting, while it made for nice atmosphere, is a bit on the dim side for menu reading. Also, their fresh baked bread is wonderful, but it would be a real plus if it was complementary, because it really goes great with their food and dips. More is better. And to me this one's a head scratcher... in the dining room with moody lighting and classy music they had a big screen tv with ESPN on the whole time. To be fair, the sound was off, but if you were there to watch sports, they have a nice bar with two other screens in there. It was totally out of place in the main dining room. BOTTOM LINE: Yes. Absolutely Yes. It is great for date-night, or any other night when you want a comfortable high end dining experience. PRICE: Items range from about $20-$50 each. Our total was about $150

From the anchovy toast to the arancini to the pasta, it's all seasonally influenced and prepared with skill and care. The cocktails are great - if you like whiskey, try the Port of Rye. Magpie's also a very good option for vegetarians as there are always plenty of creative meatless options on the menu. Service has been uniformly very good for us. So why not five stars? Two reasons. The first is the noise. WHAT'S THAT? YOU CAN'T HEAR ME? I SAID IT'S THE NOISE!!! Of course, Magpie is hardly the only place in town in which you can barely hear yourself think through a meal, but it's a major strike against them. You're having a wonderful meal with good friends, but conversation is a problem, and that's a really big issue. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to take it down a bunch of decibels by hanging some stuff off the ceiling? Anyway, it's way too loud in there. Second issue is the wine-by-the-glass list. Come on, Magpie, this is Northern California! While they get credit for spotlighting folks like Craig Haarmeyer on this list, it's ridiculous to have only three red wines on it. So a few less decibels and a few more wines by the glass and this place would be damn near perfect.

What's frustrating isn't just the selection, but the missed potential. Not one veggie sandwich option. The stuffed peppers could easily have a meatless version; the Brussels sprouts didn't need bacon; the farmers market salad could offer prosciutto as an add-on rather than a default. Small tweaks, big difference. A little more intentionality here would go a long way. On the bright side, the bourbon flights are a real highlight, and the space itself is a win - open, airy, and flooded with natural light, making it perfect for happy hour.
