We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant was pretty busy but finding seating wasn't an issue! Our waitress was very nice and helpful. I opted for a chicken sandwich with as side of buffalo fries and my sister opted for a burger with a side of fries. They had a DJ and sports games on the TV so it was a little loud inside, but nothing too bad. The food came out relatively quickly and we were excited to dig in! The sandwich was very flavorful and definitely my favorite part of the meal. The chicken was juicy and the veggies tasted fresh. The buffalo fries were also good. However, the buffalo sauce was a little too overpowering and next time I will ask for it on the side. I ended up requesting an extra side of ranch to help with the taste. Fun and spacious bar in Midtown serving proper bar eats. We had lunch there and came on a day when they offered $5 hot dogs (and hot links). Score! We got one of each, Grand Theft Avo (chips and guac) for our starter and Nitrous Nachos (steak nachos). The portions are generous and made for sharing. The hot dog and hot links were actually quite good and not one of those 'picnic' type of hot dogs...you know what I mean lol I would get both again, preferably when they are on $5 special! Came from an event on Thursday night and was starving and The Shop Midtown was close by and opened! There wasn't much people inside as a whole since it was a weekday, but there bar area was full. I really appreciated the food coming out quickly since we were HUNGRY. My classic smash was good! The meat was juicy and the portions were great. I was told the hot rod smash burger and steak chimichurri sandwich were delicious. The sandwich was huge and a big hit! I'd also recommend trying their house made ranch as it went well with the fries. I believe it was the owner who brought the food out to us and he was super friendly! The owner also came out after we were done to see how we enjoyed the meal, which I thought was a nice touch and made me appreciate that we went to a local spot instead of a national franchise. We got spam fries, which should be a MUST for every table, especially if you are uncertain on if you like spam. The spam was cut into bite sized fried pieces that brought a nice salty crunch to the dish. We also got the BBQ Wings and like 3 sides of their homemade ranch. PHEW... guys, that ranch was something else. We asked for more of it when our entrees came out. We also got a hamburger, which came with a side of fries (drenched in that killer ranch). The bun was so soft and it was a really good burger that hit the spot without weighing me down too much. My only suggestion for this place would be to add more vegetable dishes as most of the items come with fries, which are pretty heavy and sometimes I'd like to offset my burger with something "healthy" like shishito peppers, asparagus, broccoli, or fried green tomatoes. The bun was a little stale, like it was sitting under the lamp for a bit and the fries are definitely frozen and a bit bland. My burger was juicy, but my husband did not care for his too much. Next time, I would try to make it a double patty as the it was a lot of bun versus meat. I think if the entire burger, not just the meat, was smashed, the ratio would have been better.
