It's was my first time there on July 17, 2025 I'm praying that my experience here will be pleasant, positive and healing. I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy- I was told that the soonest they could get me in for the procedure is August 21, 2025 I have called to ask for something sooner but his scheduler said nothing sooner and if pain persists go to the hospital. Honestly this was very unsettling. I had blood work done she also stated that the PA signed off on it so if something was alarming I would have gotten a phone call- this is neither reassurance. Initially to get in with the doctor I called for 5 days looking for a cancellation as recommended by the staff to be seen sooner (no success) some of these reviews are scary . Document Everything. I was also granted a referral for the Doctor but I seen the PA . I'm not sure what the protocol is. read more

While everything went fine, and the colonoscopy was a success, they told me I would not be charged for the follow-up visit after the procedure. I went in for the follow-up and they talked to me for about 2 minutes. There was no mention of a charge for the visit. I was charged for the first visit, which I understand, but when no one tells me there will be a charge and then I get a bill for over $100, that is just not good business. Find another doctor as this office is pretty shady when it comes to billing. read more

In June of 2024 I walked into their upland office in such a bad health condition and with no knowledge of what was wrong with me. This is the worst office experience ever! I can't say much about the doctor. Because I had to leave since the only open seat in their tiny waiting room was next to some stupid lady who was coughing without putting her hand over her mouth or wearing a mask. Even my car dealership says that if you don't feel well or have a cough, then don't come to the dealership. They should have asked this coughing lady to leave and come back when she's not sick. She did it once, and I should have told her to cover her mouth, but then she did it again! I just asked for my cards back and said there were too many people. I waited a long time for this appointment, but they clearly overbooked. I hope they read this review and learn from it. Post a sign for sick people, too! It's just common sense to cover your mouth or not show up to an appointment sick. I'm praying I don't get sick from that lady. read more

I had my first appoitment , I was giving the upland address I was at the wrong building, the office ladies at the upland office were so nice and friendly and called the Rancho locaiton to let them know I was running late. Very nice ladies at the front office Rancho Location at 10807 Laurel Stree, Rancho Cucamonga - As soon I walked in, the front desk ladies were super nice -They called me and friendly , caring. Thank you for the excelletn staff. -I was late, and i got called within 15min. -I saw a NP, the nices lady, she gave me so much information about the procedure, I fee really comfortable speaking to her. I wish i can remember her name it was on 1/23/2024 around 2:30pm. I was nervous but she put me at easy with all detail infomarion. MOST IMPORTANT I WAS NOT RUSH ,THE NP TOOK HER TIME TO ASNWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. EXCELLENT SERVICE. -also the lady tha provides you wtih all the procedure information and time ,locatoin went over all the steps and paperwork she was sweet and caring and explaiend in detail everyting. I absolutly love Dr. Abdelkarim. He is one of the few doctors who actually cares about his patients. He is compassionate and kind, as is his staff. He thinks outside the box and will continue to try different methods of trying to help you until he figures the best course of action. My favorite thing about Dr. Abdelkarim is that he knows about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. It's so hard to find doctors who are familiar with EDS. He is continually learning about EDS as he realizes that there is not terribly much known about it. He try's to help other doctors learn about it too. Dr. Abdelkarim is very professional and has a great bedside manner. When I first met him he seemed to have a hard, outer shell which can turn a lot of people away. By my second appointment though I realized that inside his hard, outer shell is a big fluffy teddy bear. You can't go wrong with Dr. Abdelkarim and his office! read more

Been coming here for a long time, multiple GI issues. Few months back, I was prescribed a new medication at this office and my body does NOT like it. Since I'd been seen here for many years, I tried to make an appointment to follow up and to figure out what to do next. Spoke to "Nancy" on the phone to make an appointment, and she was explosive, aggressive, loud, and speaks over you on the phone. Told her to "turn it down" a bit, but she doubled down with the rudeness, yelled some more, and then hung up. I don't normally do reviews, but I got done wrong at this place. A good medical office makes people feel seen and heard, and this office does NOT do that. read more

Been referred back to this MD since he's her colleague but don't even know who he is and can't make an appointment so the pain and unidentified bleeding is unresolved. read more

My primary doctor recommended having the actual colonoscopy. I have Tricare and the doctor that my insurance approved had very scary reviews. A couple of patients said that he didn't use total anesthesia for the procedure and that it was painful. So, I decided to "shop around" for another doctor with better reviews, and Dr. Abdelkarim is the only other gastro that my insurance accepts in my area. Anyways, got an appointment. Facility is like any other facility in America. They just make you feel like "this is a business, and we are in a hurry", like you are just a number. I made an appointment with Dr. Abdelkarim and I met with another person, I think his name was Miguel. Not sure about this person credentials. I asked him if I was going to meet Dr. Abdelkarim, and he said "no, but if you want to meet him you need to make another appointment." (really? How dare you trying to meet the doctor?). So, Miguel explained the procedure, he was ok, I wouldn't said he was very very nice. He told me (because I asked) that they don't use general anesthesia; they use a kind of sedation that makes you sleep (?). I guess this is the standard procedure that can be painful for some patients. Then, the facilities scheduled the colonoscopy with another random doctor that works there without even asking me, and I had to say that I wanted the procedure to be done by Dr. Abdelkarim. I'll update this review after the procedure. read more

I had some pain in my lower abdomen area and asked my doctor for a recommendation. "Dr. A" was the recommended doctor. I made an appointment and was seen by a physician assistant who scheduled me for an ultrasound. About a month later, I was contacted to come into the office to discuss the results. I showed up on-time for my 2:45pm appointment. I sat in the lobby for 15 minutes, then I was moved to an exam room where I sat for an additional 30 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. At 3:30pm I walked out of the exam room and told an employee standing close that I was leaving. The physician assistant called me 5 minutes later, while I was driving home, to apologize; he claimed there was an emergency with another patient. I explained to him that my time is as valuable as his and I didn't appreciate being left in an exam room without someone notifying me about the situation. I understand that emergencies happen but that's no excuse for office staff to ignore other patients. While waiting in the exam room I heard office staff having causal conversations with others. It's common courtesy to update a patient waiting in an exam room, if and/or when there is an emergency. I will be selecting another doctor. On my way out, I informed the office staff that I will not pay for that visit and will contact my insurance provider to make sure no charges are billed. read more

It is extremely sad that a doctor with this level and amount of accolades in his profile, doesn't seem to have the assistance of staff who reflect or mirror such a stellar resume. This is especially crucial in the case of "newcomers," such as myself. Furthermore, upon reading about the good doctor, this point was actually pointed out in a particular statement regarding the great service that can be expected when arranging an appointment with him: "...From the initial phone call to...". Well, sad to say, but it WAS that "initial phone call" that caused me to go, WTW‼‼‼I called appx. 3 times to be sure, & YUP! I went in for my consultation in April and saw the Physicians Assistant. Everyone on the medical team is very warm and friendly. Last week I went to the surgical out patient center for my Colonoscopy. I was a bit nervous because I had never had this procedure done before. The Doctor, Nurses and other team members were amazing! I was referred by my Doctor, and Park Tree to see these guys. I called to make an appointment, and this was on a Tuesday afternoon. The machine said they were closed. So i called Wed. I called at 9am, they open at 8am, same machine saying they were closed. Fuck you guys then playing with my fucking health. Shut down for all i care. I called Park Tree and told them i want someone else. I bet you guys turned the phones off to not take any calls, sorry you had to work for a living. Ignorant jerks. Why even go to College for working there if you hate people so much. Avoid this place. If you value your life. They dont care about you, they just milk the system by being lazy, waiting for their next check. Why would the doctor or Sabrina, the other manager, extend me best wishes when Sabrina angrily hung up on me and the doctor called me to tell me he refuses to see me as a patient plus report me to my PCP? But thank you anyway. Your entire comment is a feeble attempt at regaining credibility and is misleading to readers. Also what you wisely wrote is exactly true - there's no way to judge truthfulness on these threads, including yours. It's interesting to note, however, the pattern of responses on your negative reviews which are defensive and with no regard to patient care. This in itself is very telling and supports my position even more. I need to focus on my health and have no interest in continuing an unproductive exchange with you or anybody from your office. What a terrible experience. First off, IDEAL has two offices and it's hit or miss whether the staff will tell you the correct office when you schedule your appointment. Second, Dr. Yaramada kept calling me a "non-compliant patient" implying that I blatantly ignore getting healthcare because I don't care. To completely ignore that some people might be unable to afford health insurance in the US is ridiculously out of touch. Third, I'm supposed to be on a prescription of Prednisone but have missed 2 days because the doctor won't respond to the pharmacy about my prescription. Calling the office gets me rudely cut off mid-sentence and put on hold. I'm experiencing withdrawals now from going from a high dosage to nothing for 2 days. read more
