Their prices are fair for a bottle and I wish I had done that instead of ordering a glass. The service was great! We had a huge group, yet the server was super patient and provided great recommendations to everyone. She was running around the whole time to take care of us and other patrons, but always did it with a smile on her face. I never felt rushed. They have limited snack options for purchase but allow you to bring in your own snacks as well. Finally, the space. It is on the smaller size but we were able to fit our group in without issues, while still leaving some open tables for other patrons. They also provide service on a handful of outdoor tables. The only minor issue is they had live music which felt quite loud in such a small place, but when asked, they were able to lower the volume a bit which was very nice of them!

I have attended two where two of my favorite chefs were creating their unique dishes, and Archive owner nailed the perfect pairings with all the dishes. The space isn't huge, so the events are limited to 30 people. Just right to get star treatment from everyone. No pretentious wine snobs or chefs, everyone discussing the highlights of the food and wine. Besides the dinners, Archive has also been hosting blind tastings and other fun wine discovery night. Street parking is limited. There is a parking ramp just around the corner that is easy to use.

I rarely write reviews like this, but after nearly 60 days of being completely ignored following a…read moreformal complaint, I feel I have no other option but to share my experience publicly. My family and I stayed at the GSR for 3 nights to attend a close family member's wedding -- the entire reason we made the trip to Reno. Here is what we encountered: The Room We arrived to a visibly dirty room that needed a thorough cleaning. There were stains on the furniture, walls, and bedding. No washcloths were available despite multiple requests to housekeeping -- they finally arrived on our last day, too late to be of any use. On our first night, a sticky substance on the bedding transferred to my clothing and permanently ruined both my pants and my belt. I have not been able to remove it despite multiple attempts. Pest & Safety Concerns We found a large unidentifiable bug in our room that we had to kill and dispose of ourselves. For the remaining nights of our stay we were uneasy and anxious about what else might be present while we slept. Marijuana Odors -- Every Single Day For all 3 days and nights, the hallways leading to our room reeked of strong marijuana. My 7-year-old son asked me about the smell every single time. No parent should have to have that conversation repeatedly because a hotel cannot enforce its own policies. Rude Guest Services When I called to request washcloths, instead of simply helping me, the agent chose to lecture me on the difference between a washcloth and a face cloth. It was condescending and completely unhelpful. The Pool -- And the Moment We Lost Forever At the pool, our server went on break and her replacement could not locate my payment card. The time we lost waiting caused us to leave late -- and we arrived at the wedding chapel just as guests were walking out. We missed our family member's wedding ceremony entirely. We had traveled to Reno for one reason, and because of this staff failure we did not get to witness it. That is something we will never be able to get back. Checkout & Aftermath When I raised all of these issues at the front desk before checking out, I was redirected, dismissed, and ultimately handed a business card with a vague promise that someone would follow up about my clothing. No apology. No acknowledgment of the bigger picture. No resolution. That was nearly 60 days ago. I have followed up in writing. I have heard nothing -- not a single word. I spent a significant amount of money at this property and was treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I would not recommend the GSR to anyone traveling with family, and especially not for any trip where something important is at stake. GSR -- my complaint is still open. You know how to reach me.

It's is the very best corn dog I have ever had! He has a family secret recipe that makes his corn dogs so amazing! I usually have at least three during the week!!! If you're at the HAN Atlantis car show be sure to stop by and try one, believe me you will thank me later! This year the summit racing move their booth over to the Atlantis, if you're looking for it. The Atlantis has show & shines with great prizes money, cruising, bands and entertainment always great! Fun things for the kiddo's and craft booth's galore. Many great Artists as well as beer and spirits vendors were there! Although we like beer, we also went to taste a great product from Long Drink. So different and very nice. The comedian was good and the music awesome! We had a hot dog, that was very large, fat and juicy!! Not your average hot dog! A very good choice! Yum! The artists are so talented! We went home with a couple of purchases, but wish we could have gone home with so many more! The Golden Nugget and especially the Sierra Arts Foundation did a wonderful job! The tour started with the lower level of the Renaissance Hotel (who provided water and a snack) for a introduction, a historical set-up (in costume) and fun "throw the cards" warm-up. Once outside (fully masked) and "on the road", our tour stops included the old Post Office/West Elm, the Reno Courthouse, the Virginia Street Bridge, Space Whale/Site of old Mapes Hotel, Old Riverside Hotel, one of Reno's historic old Alleys, and Belle Island. In between were stories of hangings, rings thrown from the bridge, missing person/mob hits, possible prohibition liquor runs through alleged tunnels, and of course the church where the finale of Sister Act was filmed. There were also magic tricks, bad jokes, a look up in the sky gag for tour add-ons, a fake birthday song tribute to a surprised restaurant patron, and a very enjoyable and interactive outdoor experience. The expedition ended back at the hotel with a ring magic trick, a bit historical letter reveal, and appreciation for a job well done. This expedition actually left me with wanting more in terms of local historical tidbits and stories. Maybe sometime post-COVID, a longer and smaller attended walking tour would be "in the cards". In the meantime, please buy a ticket to the Weird Reno walking tour and thank you Kalin, Jinger, Jacques, and family for a bringing a little welcome joy to such a challenging time. Ended up with a piroshki and a latte, both were absolutely amazing!!! As I was eating there, David entered and started setting up for their paint night. He's quite the character, charming, delightful and talented so of course I had to join the class and this was by far the best paint night class I've ever done!!! This wasn't as strict as other classes I've done, like he gave us a template and then let our creativity flow!! Others I've done are more like paint by numbers and everyone's looks identical. This was unique and let us all play and get creative. I'm so glad I found this little slice of joy and magic!
