We randomly popped in one weekend to try this establishment out. There was an art class being taught, but we were welcomed in. The initial ordering procedure was a little odd, but it was straightened out. I ordered the poulet brie chicken sandwich. I have to say it was a very tasty option. It was hot and fresh. I also tried the kale salad that was also fresh and made to order. The style of the restaurant was really neat. You dine amidst the artwork aligned on the wall. Made for a cool environment. I will say one negative was how hot it was in the restaurant. Easy fix though. I'd try this restaurant again and I'd recommend giving it a try. Maybe even signing up for an art class if that your thing.

Shirred Eggs with a side of bacon

Crafted Palette is such a delightful spot! I'd been curious about the cafe/art venue for a while before visiting and decided to meet a friend for coffee and breakfast. We met at Crafted Palette on a wintry Sunday morning. The place was empty and we were the only patrons for the duration of our meal, with the exception of someone picking up a to-go order. They have a surprisingly extensive menu; think flavored croissants, breakfast plates, sandwiches, salads, etc. and a small but varied coffee and drink menu. I ordered the shirred eggs with a side of bacon and a hot chai latte. I really enjoyed the shirred eggs. With the toast, it was a large portion and well worth the price. The bacon was a tad overcooked for my liking. The chai latte was also delicious: creamy, sweet and another large serving. The service was great and the interior was nice and welcoming with art all over the place. I'm excited to return for breakfast or lunch, especially as someone who works downtown! I would also love to go back for dinner, happy hour or a class after seeing their appetizers. Crafted Palette surprised me! I can't wait to return to this Reno gem!

I am a huge researcher before I will go somewhere to eat, so I was a little hesitant seeing the concerns about the paper plates, over done bacon blah blah blah. They have obviously addressed those by now having dishes for there plates and silverware for the utensils. So that was taken care of. Now for the food. Excellent all around!! The latte and hot cocoa were so creamy. They do have a couple sugar free options for syrup. Taste is on point. The bacon...Yummo is all I can say! The hashbrowns were crispy and delicious... My husband said his eggs were perfect. Runny but not slimy. French toast was great too. Super friendly staff. Very attentive. Clean n eclectic atmosphere. 10 thumbs up!!!!

Butterscotch Latte and the Crafted Croissant

I've been here before for their Paint and Sip classes and on Wine Walks, but it was my first time coming here specifically to eat. I was pleasantly surprised at the extent of the menu. So many options, both hot and cold. I got a butterscotch latte and the Crafted Croissant, which was nice and flakey, stuffed with ham and cheese and topped off with a delicious creamy sauce. The vibe is really chill, with cool "coffee shop" music in the background and lots of original artwork on the walls. The staff was friendly. I just moved down the street and this will definitely be a regular go-to for me now.

Found this place whilst staying downtown and looking for a cozy spot for coffee. Crafted Palette was the perfect spot. Their staff are so sweet and welcoming, and the croissant was perfection! They have a lot of local art and looks like they host painting classes. Would 1000% recommend coming in if you are in the area. An oasis in downtown Reno on a cold morning.

After not getting to do one last year, I was determined to do a paint and sip for my birthday activities this year. Ironically we chose this location based on the time, then were called a day or two prior to move the time- but thankfully it worked out. We were actually the only ones in the class for this day, which was honestly more fun for us as we felt more relaxed and less pressure. Our instructor was funny, kind, and although she made mistakes she taught us how to overcome and fix it. She gave us nice breaks to catch up and took our photo together at the end. My boyfriend was nervous for this class in particular because the painting style seemed difficult, but our paintings turned out fabulous. We couldn't believe that's actually what we painted- we were so proud. Overall an extremely fun time with great memories.

Had a great time at a private painting class here! The food that we had was delicious and the artist we had worked with was a joy. She took care of us very well and gave us several tips on our painting while giving us the artistic freedom that allows everyone to uniquely express themselves. Everything started and ended on time, which was really great and I felt very respected with my time that way. Thank you so much!

    Hoo wants coffee and empanadas

Always our go-to breakfast near Riverwalk. Soothing atmosphere, great for work or sipping a coffee and looking at the art. If you like creative takes on empanadas, which we do, we always get at least The Beef Wellington (A plus) and usually one of the ones with sun dried tomatoes.

Buffalo chicken pie and Lemon pie

I came here a few years ago for one of the wine and paint events which was excellent! We had such a great time and loved our instructor. He was a wonderful teacher, fun to talk with, and even played the saxophone for us as we painted (he was from NOLA)! We had some of their pies while here that time and I remember how amazing they were. I've been meaning to come back for more of the pies but am not in this part of downtown very often. Finally made it back recently and the pies were as good as I remember! They do have a lot of other menu items but I especially enjoy their pies. I got a savory buffalo chicken pie, my friend got a savory breakfast pie, and we split a sweet lemon pie for dessert. All the flavors were delicious! Slightly crisp crust on the outside but soft and stuffed full on the inside. They are a good size, enough to satisfy some hunger but not really enough to fill you up as a meal. More of a tasty snack! The guy working was super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in talking to us and helping us. It took a little longer than expected to get our pies but we didn't mind waiting since everyone was so kind and the pies were so good! I hope to return soon for another paint night and of course some more pies.

Rainbows are yours, follow it !!

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

I tried the McIsley (fried chicken, dill pickles, ground mustard, honey) and nearly passed out from pure bliss. The biscuit is golden brown on the outside while warm and pillowy within. You'll need a fork and knife, but the menagerie of sweet and savory building blocks will come together any which way you deconstruct it. My wife tried The Chatfield (fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, apple butter) and was equally content. The Oregon Marionberry jam was a tart yet sweet customized side, and I much enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese to round off the plate. The breading is evenly blasted with seasoning and the tomatoes themselves are plump but not the least bit soggy. Without a doubt though, the service was unmatched.
