Beware - new ownership! I have been ordering cakes from the Carmel location for over 20 years. I found out today when I picked up a bday cake that there is new ownership. First I will start with Ambiance; upon entering the smell of sewage knocks you over, I'm not sure who wants to eat ice cream and smell sewage - the drains need attention! Then the cake I purchased for almost $40 was lacking in decor and the writing looked like a kindergartener wrote it - NEVER have had this experience with old owner, sad to see her go! There were 3 young HS/College age students working and I asked one of the boys if he could remove the writing, he gladly offered and this was none of their fault! I was then told the new cake decorator was one vacation, which explains my disaster of a Moana cake for my granddaughter. Asked for a flavor and the guy helping me asked their coworker if they had any left of the flavor. Coworker told them it was right in front of them. They got the ice cream and I presented my free birthday scoop coupon QR code on my phone, on the actually Baskin Robbin's app (which expires tomorrow and is the only reason I came in). He said "it's not working" after trying to scan it a couple times (didn't offer to look up my account by phone number or anything and just stood there). When you lust for German Chocolate Cake ice cream and it just arrived yesterday! It wasn't even in the case yet. Luckily, the manager heard my inquiry and sprang into action. There are not enough Baskin-Robbins's around Indianapolis in my opinion. I just went with a standard sugar cone. Their freshly baked waffle cones look amazing! I've never been to a Baskin-Robbin's playing Christmas tunes as classical music. All in all, a delightful experience. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. The ice cream is always delicious. The teen workers always have a smile. But the owner... man that owner works her butt off!! I admit, my number one trick for getting little ones to leave the park or pool is, "Ok, let's go get some ice cream!" No shame in my game. None. So we headed to Baskin Robbins, since I knew they had tables and chairs inside to sit. When we arrived, however, I realized there are only 2 tables to sit at. They have a very small "bar" area with bar stools. But that's definitely not safe for toddlers. There was a line quickly forming behind is, so I asked my adult daughter to take the girls and secure a table while I ordered. Being 9 months pregnant, she was more than happy to do so. I ordered my 2 toddler granddaughters cake cones with a child scoop of chocolate and then cups with 2 scoops each, for my daughter and I. My total came to $15. Reasonable. Later, I really wanted a drink and grabbed a bottle of water for nearly $2. Eh. Our service was prompt and the employees we encountered were all polite and friendly. My granddaughters made a serious mess. Like chocolate icecream aaaaaall over the table and their chairs. I just won't leave messes like that for others to clean up and began wiping it up with our baby wipes. A young man saw what I was doing when he came out to get an ice cream cake, chuckled and told me not to worry about it. Our ice cream was good. Who doesn't love ice cream! I like Baskin Robbins because they have so many choices! 31! It's in the name! It can be tough deciding, but you can try samples and usually I find the one I want pretty quickly. My last trip I got the German chocolate and it was amazing! Mu husband had the cherry cordial and it was really good too. The people are always friendly and they seem to stay open pretty late for last minute ice cream cravings. They have been doing a $1.31 special on the 31st of the month. So check your calander and be there the 31st! read more

Ordered 2 cakes on Wednesday for Saturday pick up, asked girl taking my order "what time do you open on Saturday?" I was told 10am, so I stated "Great, see you at 10am Saturday! Got there 10-15 minutes early and waited, tried door at 10am, locked! Noticed sign stated they open at 11am! Party was to start at 11am, I live 45 minutes from this Baskin Robbins so guests are arriving at a closed, locked house because this store's employees have no idea what their hours are!!!!
