    Peach Cobbler Shooter
    Elle J.

Second time trying Marsha's and definitely not disappointed! The first time I had her wonderful Strawberry Shortcake at the Avon Farmers Market! Second time was this past Friday at the Foodways Juneteenth Festival! Marsha had a variety of dessert shooters! I tried the Peach Cobbler and it was so good! The layers were perfectly balanced and the peaches had that very distinct and delicious cinnamon and nutmeg flavor! I tried not to eat it all in one sitting, but couldn't stop! Can't wait to stop by her store and try some other delicious treats!

I first met owner Marsha a few months ago and was instantly smitten with the delicious, custom desserts she made for our event, as well as her fun and joyful personality. This is a family-run business of people who love working together and serving the community. Truly a wonderful spot to support. Love to see it! Most recently, I bought a cookie decorating kit for our Yelp's Totally Virtual Bazaar Sugar Cookie Showdown event. Marsha and her sister led all of us through a super fun class as we all decorated cookies together in our own homes. The kits were super detailed and I was SO impressed that their team truly thought of EVERYTHING. From a little heart sprinkle for the top of the tree cookie to little orange sprinkles for the snowman cookies' nose and more, there was nothing missed. You can buy much more than desserts here. Order anything from platters of bbq and wings, sides of mac & cheese, individual breakfast sandwiches, boxed lunches, finger sandwiches, cupcakes, custom cakes and more. They can fully cater any event, from appetizer to entree to dessert. Order on their website online ordering portal or give them a call!

I first had the pleasure of being introduced to this business at the Yelp Sweet 16th Birthday. They made cookies, cake pops, cupcakes and other sweet treats. They were wonderful! Marsha was such a ray of sunshine and happy to tell everyone about her business. Forward to December 2020. I ordered one of their Christmas cookie kits. It came in a nice metal tin with a lid, an assortment of sugar cookies, piping bags full of icing with some that even had different tips on them to add different textures! They were full and didn't skimp on the icing. That was a plus! They included all of the cute little touches you could add to your cookies, little carrots for Frosty's nose, shimmery sprinkles, mini M&M's for the Christmas lights cookies to name a few of the little small touches that add so much to the cookies. They even included a little spreader to spread out your icing making it easier to use than a standard knife. This is a family owned business and they love what they do! You can tell in their products and they're so nice and friendly! Not only do they sell baked goods they also cater! Go to their Instagram page and look at the spread they created for 375 airport employees who wanted a "Colts Tailgate!" It looks incredible! They can do it all! They're located not far from Indianapolis in Avon almost to the Marion - Hendricks county line. They have a store front full of their beautiful cakes they've created. Support small!

I stopped by to pick up a cookie decorating kit that I had purchased online and didn't even need to call to say I had arrived! Marsha came out to find out what I was picking up and was back with my kit so quickly! The cookie decorating kit was wonderful. The cookies were so delicious and the frosting in pre-filled decorating bags and other decorations in labelled ziplocks made it so easy for a cookie decorating novice! Marsha has baked cakes for work events for years now, and it's always worth sticking it out through a long work event when we know a slice of Marsha's cake will be our reward the end. We're often had a strawberry sheet cake which is delicious! We've also had trays of cake pops and mini cupcakes which are delicious as well. The cake pops have impressed many over the years! We've also had cheese trays and veggie trays which are excellent too! This is a great family owned and run business! Please support them particularly during these challenging times!

I participated in a Yelp event recently that involved making cookies. Marsha's was supplying the cookie kits and the expertise. I got online and placed my cookie kit order so I could pick it up a few days later. I pulled up to pick up my kit and Marsha came out to my vehicle with her mask on and a safe distance from my window to get my name for my order. She went back in and promptly came back out with my order! My kit had everything I needed and then some. I can honestly say the sugar cookies may be the best I have eaten. So soft and delicious. Give Marsha's a try. Easy to order and easy to pick up.

The best businesses have good products and good people. Marsha's has just that. I met both Marsha and Michelle through a virtual Yelp event. I was filled with joy listening to them talk about their family business. Their passion and love truly shine through their work. Plus the sugar cookie decorating kit was so well put together and tasted delicious! If I lived in Indy, I'd trust them with all of my baking needs.

I bought a sugar cookie decorating kit in order to attend a Yelp zoom event . Making the purchase to attend the event was not required, but I'm very glad I did! For only $20, we got 10 large sugar cookies, piped bags of colored icing, three decorator tips, and multiple candy sprinkles/decor, all clearly labeled. I had such a fun time in this whole event. This was one of the best Yelp Zooms (and I 've been on some great ones!) I was delighted to see the kit and all the care that was clearly taken in putting them together, which set the tone for the entire experience. Clearly Chef Marsha thoroughly well thought this out, knowing which cookie we would start with and now to decorate them and perfectly timed how we would spend our hour together. Not only was this fun, but super tasty! The shop is in Avon, and it's pretty good I live a-ways away, or I would be stopping by all too often to test all her other items! Also, just in one hour, the way she decorates cookies, I would love to see her cakes; simply gorgeous! #ReviewsByRL

My first experience with Marsha's was lovely to say the least. I actually purchased cookie kit so that I could follow along with an online cooking decorating class they were leading with Yelp. The sugar cookies were crispy and chewy - just perfect - and the frosting was delicious (I love buttercream)! To say they went above an beyond from their friendliness and ease of ordering of the kits, ensuring we had the perfect decor, frostings (and tips!), and cookies would be an understatement. I can only imagine how awesome Marsha and her team are to work with when creating a unique experience for birthday cakes and other celebrations -- 10/10 recommend.

I bought a cookie decorating kit to participate in a Yelp cookie decorating event with the bakery. The sugar cookies and icing were delicious! And they thought of every little detail for the kit, including clearly labeling what all the little extras were for. Marsha and her sister led us in a decorating lesson for multiple holiday cookies and they were such happy instructors. It was a very fun night due to their kindness, energy and skills. My 8 year old nephew ended up taking over decorating by the end of the class and he really loved it too. I don't live close enough to order from them regularly but they are definitely a business worthy of your money!!

You can read it in the owner's statement. This is a family owned business that primarily caters and makes special order cakes and related baked items for just about any occasion. But even though the statement refers to the six family members who work here and are owners, the meaning of family runs much deeper than just words. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Marsha Q and her mother at a recent Yelp event (Yelp's 15th Birthday Bash.) After a brief introduction about herself and her family business, we all got to ask questions. I asked about being able to walk in and buy fresh baked items and was told yes, I could stop by, but that there would only be a limited supply of things for sale to the general public. However, if I wanted to get something specific, to be sure to call in advance to make sure they had the availability to complete an order. The owners were gracious in their demeanor and the treats they brought to the event were quickly devoured. One of the things I try to do is make a follow up visit to vendors who provide free goodies at Yelp events as a way to say thank you for their stories and generosity. So, with my wife and three of my grandchildren in tow, we stopped by on a Wednesday morning and both Marsha and her mother were working that day. I let them know that I appreciated their participation in the event and they seemed genuinely flattered. Each of the grandkids picked a Halloween cake pop and though there wasn't much else set out, Marsha let me know she had just taken out a batch of sugar cookies and some cupcakes. I asked for some of each. She even asked what type of frosting I wanted on the cakes (butter cream). She went in the back and prepped them and boxed them for our trip home. While she worked in the back, her mother shared stories about the display cakes that were in the front of the space. She also reminded us of how they once made 8000 cupcakes for when Indy hosted the SuperBowl! Just a note: The bakery isn't set up as a standard bakery retail place with large counters of items on display. Rather, it is a little random with items over here, and some over there. But you just have to ask what's available. If you are willing to take a chance, then drop in. Otherwise call in advance. Before I wrap up, I mentioned how family was mentioned in the owner's business statement. When I walked in, I was greeted and made to feel like I was part of the family. They obviously love what they do and wanted to make sure that my family was happy with the items we chose. That's something you don't see in a lot of places. Certainly not in the big chain bakeries or the ones who are living on their reputations. Marsha and her family bake with love and it shines through in every bite. Review #3249

I met Marsha at an event and her desserts were delicious. She was very customer service oriented. I was impressed with the presentation of the desserts. It was very clean and organized. I will be visiting her location in the near future.

    Jaleesa J.

I'm thankful I don't live nearby because I'd probably be piling on the pounds if I did. The cake pops are solid and the mini caramel apple pies are absolutely divine. I had no business eating a full portion, but I didn't want the experience to end. I'm already making a list of the holidays I want Marsha to cater just so I have an excuse to taste more of her desserts. If you haven't made your way to Avon, I recommend you give Marsha's a try. She's a talented baker and seems to have an incredibly kind team.

We had opted for a sandwich and 2 sides. Each lunch also contained a fruitcup or applesauce, a pickle spear, chips, a cookie or brownie, as well as condiments, a mint and cutlery with napkin. Normally we take some food home with us. On this visit we ate it all and left wanting more, just not more of any of the meat. The portions were definitely smaller. Three slices of brisket and turkey. I had been searching everywhere for a graze box to bring to our friends' gathering and finally decided to give Graze Craze a try. I'm so glad I did. Shortly after placing my order, they reached out to let me know the store would be closing earlier than expected the day before Thanksgiving. They easily adjusted my pickup time, and I really appreciated them being proactive instead of leaving me to discover locked doors. Now...this next part was completely on me. ‍ I showed up a little early while they were absolutely buried preparing holiday orders. They had part of my order ready, apologized, and asked if I could swing back once everything was finished. A short while later they contacted me exactly as promised, and pickup was a breeze. The customer service alone deserved five stars. Then I opened the boxes. They were honestly almost too pretty to eat. Every detail looked intentional--from the presentation to the handwritten note tucked inside. I was genuinely excited to show up with them. The best part? They weren't just pretty. Every single person commented on how beautiful they looked...then immediately started talking about how good everything tasted. That's the dream when you're bringing food to a holiday gathering. When I walked in, I heard someone say from that back that they'd be with me in a little while. It wasn't long before a young man came out to speak with me. It was about 90 minutes before closing and he immediately told me I should not expect service right before closing. I apologized, said I thought they closed at 6pm, he said they did, then said he'd go to the back to see if they'd be willing to talk to me. Someone was in the back washing dishes, but never came to the front. The same employee came back out, sighed, and said he'd take my order. I told him I had never been in, I just heard about it from the gift card, and was curious what I could order and what was included with the menu items (inside, it's just a counter and a table off to the side with trays/boxes with names, but not prices or a list of what comes in them). He told me I should read the TV, which looked to be off at the time. He turned it back on while huffing and puffing, then said "LOOK!" at the menu, which was just names of the boxes with prices, not sizes or again what's included/what I can choose from. I remained calm, despite feeling uncomfortable, and again asked if I could see a list of what's included or what I can choose from, and if I can pick something up same day or order for a future pickup (I was honestly hoping for a grab & go cooler like other similar places but no problem, I can order something for another time). I still have no idea what items are available, as the employee was just getting more and more mad at me with each question, which he refused to answer. I told him I was feeling uncomfortable, which he just said, "okay!" so I said I didn't feel like I was wanted there as a customer, and I left. I've tried calling the store to rectify the situation and maybe speak with a different employee or member of management. Either the phone just rings and rings or the same employee I spoke with in-person answers. I really wanted to use my gift card but I'd rather throw it away than go through that experience again. I'm very discouraged at this point, but glad I can get great products and service at The Bountiful Board instead.
