This location is very close to home and when I'm craving their frozen cappuccinos it's super convenient to drive down to Pearl Kai. The most difficult part of coming here is the parking, but it's not the store's fault. Staff here is usually pleasant, but my orders are wrong most of the time. For example, today I ordered a mocha frozen cappuccino with jamocha almond fudge ice cream, whip cream and no cinnamon. I got a regular cappuccino with jamocha ice cream with cinnamon on top. I just wanted to get home to my dog who was waiting to go potty, so I didn't say anything, paid and left. Prices here have jumped too. I remember ordering ice cream cakes for $20. Today I saw a small Pokemon ice cream cake for $45! What the fudge! My medium size drink was $7 when it used to be $4. Times have changed! In short, parking sucks, double check your order before you leave the shop, and bring at least $20 for ice cream. read more

"Oreo Cookies 'N Cream": Before I discovered how amazing "Peanut Butter 'N Chocolate" was, this was my favorite flavor from Baskin-Robbins. This flavor ups the ante on traditional cookies 'n cream by infusing the creamy blend with numerous chunks of real Oreo cookies. "Pralines 'N Cream": This is my boyfriend's favorite flavor, and rightfully so. I always get a few bites of his, and that's enough to satisfy me (this is a good flavor; I just enjoy my "Peanut Butter 'N Chocolate" too much to order anything else). This creamy mix features vanilla ice cream studded with praline-coated pecan pieces interspersed with a sweet caramel ribbon. It's definitely a taste of the South in your mouth. "Made with Snickers": Though "Pralines 'N Cream" is my boyfriend's favorite flavor, "Made With Snickers" is a close second, and I definitely enjoy this flavor as well. This sundae is also the way to go if you're trying to choose between two ice cream flavors -- the decision is simpler when you can get both! This sundae features two scoops of your favorite ice cream flavors topped with hot fudge, caramel or a strawberry topping; whipped cream; nuts and a cherry. If I'm getting this sundae, I order mine with hot fudge, no whipped cream and no cherry. And yes, I've had it in lieu of lunch before. "Brownie Sundae": This sweet treat is definitely designed for all you brownie lovers. This combo features a moist brownie topped with two of your favorite ice cream flavors, hot fudge, chopped almonds, whipped cream and a cherry. After a session at Cuu Long Vietnamese restaurant, I was craving something sweet. After checking Yelp and discovered Baskin Robbins, I basically made a b-line here and managed to spend $5 on a two scoop messy indulgence that proved to be one of the best purchase of the day. I must've gained a good 2 lbs since eating at Baskins Robbin's, but that's alright. I'll burn it off sooner or later, I hope. This Baskin Robbin's was pretty empty when I got in. It was about 2pm and there was a line outside Cuu Long already. I guess I got in before the line started, otherwise, I would have been hungry and stuck in a line for a good hour before getting into the restaurant. With that in mind, Baskin Robbins is located in the strip mall Pearl Kai shopping center, directly across the street from the larger Pearl Ridge shopping center. This location, in particular, is very clean and well maintained, especially with the ones I have previously have been to. I had to think about what I wanted to get and this lady, who I assumed worked there was on break, sitting at a table, and she was asking me if I was ready or not to order. She was an older lady, but that kind of annoyed me. Eventually, I settled on the blueberry cheesecake, which was pretty much orgasmic. It was pretty much out of this world and I kind of wished I had more. I loved it so much, that I will need to get more eventually. The staff was nice and patient with me, which was a big plus. It was a good deal, since 1 scoop already was at $3, and 2 scoops was just under $5. So, I got the 2 scoop deal on a waffle cone. Let's just say that the Zblueberry cheese cake is probably a must have, although I would need to try it again just to be sure. The other scoop I had was just plain chocolate, just because I am a choco-holic. While I have a solid allegiance to Cold Stone Creamery, Baskin Robbins has a good repretoire of good flavors and concoctions that are good to try just once, just because I was pleasantly surprise, especially when I dug into the blueberry cheese cake. Baskin Robbins Pearl Kai is the perfect central location to enjoy your favorite flavor of ice cream. There is ample parking available, over a dozen seats to choose from, a kiddie table, and the freezers are always full. Even the tubs of ice cream smile from time to time! In my personal opinion, this is the perfect place to cool down your palate after a steaming hot bowl of pho from nearby restaurant, Cuu Long. My friends and I have noticed that we're not the only ones who combine the two, hand in hand. Weekends, Friday nights especially, tend to have the friendliest staff. Two in particular, Allyson and Cy, are very down to earth people and always greet customers with a smile. Ally does a great job with cake decorating too! :) If you needed a "hand-packed" pint, quart, or half-gallon of your favorite ice cream, seek out Derrick. He does this neat trick where he overstuffs the container, then he slaps the cover on the heaping mound of ice cream, flips it all upside down, then he smashes it together with all his weight. That trick definitely deserves some gratuity. My favorite flavor of all time would be "Lucky Mint" but I wasn't able to snap a photo before I magically made it disappear. It's chocolate mint ice cream (not to be confused with mint chocolate chip) with green bits of something yummy, and crispy cookie bits. It's even nicknamed, "mint chocolate chip's evil twin". :) If you ever see it, try it. I buy it by the half-gallon cause it goes fast! If you haven't checked this location out, you should. I always go to this location since I live few mins away but everytime we walk in the employee or employees doesn't acknowledge us. Today though, two female employees were busy talking to each other instead of welcoming us. They didn't give us eye contact until I asked to sample a flavor. I wanted my scoop in the cone but she already pulled out the cup before I could say cone so whatever I just let it go. Last time, I spent $16 on a milk shake and ice cream. We arrived at the Basking Robins at 10:01 pm - one minute past the closing time. The employee, Hana had every right to turn us away, but she welcomed us into the store. She was patient as we were selecting our ice cream. And she was soooo nice! I would give this store three stars for serving ice cream that is not fresh, but the service made up for the deficiency in ice cream. I guess, I can't really blame Baskin Robins for serving ice cream that was not freshly made. They don't really have a choice in that matter. Customer service at its worse! Wasn't aware that there was a max of 5 people, got scolded in the rudest way. "Only five only inside!" Um okay couldn't been any more rude? I found out about the $1.31 scoop deal from the Yelp events, so thanks to the Yelp community for keeping me informed! I didn't even know that there was a Baskin Robbins shop at this location, but I happened to be in the area after dinner, so it was a convenient walk to the shop. Even though there was a fairly steady stream of customers due to the sales on scoops, the employees did a great job of getting everyone their ice cream in a timely manner and checking them out at the register. Overall, the location was clean and organized. All of the ice cream flavors were clearly labeled and a large TV screen scrolled through images of promotions and the flavor of the month. Although I personally prefer the local froyo shops to Baskin Robbins, I'll definitely be back for the next $1.31 scoop day and I will probably stop by every once in a while when I'm looking for some ice cream. There are lots of other restaurants and business in the mall area that I have yet to explore, so it seems like it will be a convenient location when I happen to be in the area anyway. I expected a cake that was around 6 inches tall and I don't see how anyone could possibly interpret that height description any other way. The cake I received wasn't even 4 inches tall. Shame on you! We ordered a birthday cake on 11/13/2015. We said we would pick it up on 11/14/2015 at 5pm. When we arrived, only the cake was made. No writtings or decorations. Had one guy behind the counter who was obviously stressed out. Had people waiting all over the place. We seen some give up and leave. When it was our turn, we pointed out that it was missing the greetings He now had to go prep to put on the writtings, more customers stared us down for holding up the line. Now because of the way the frosting was applied, there was hardly enough room to write anything. After he was done... Now there was no place to put the decorations or the candles. Told my wife she should have taken a picture of it. No time she said, we already late. Only one guy on a Saturday evening? Cake not ready, and we ordered way in advance of the requested time frame. Customers leaving? Lost sales there. No greeting, no room to write the greetings. No room for the decorations? But it was a pretty cake... I don't know what was going on. But for a guy to be working alone with all those customers. I think he did okay. He didn't blow up at anybody. Even with my wife yacking at him, and customers giving stink eye. Cheap icecream with lots of flavors, I'm downnnnnnn. Ice cream these days can get pretty expensive depending on where you go and what you order. My boyfriend calls me a minion (because not only do they like bananas but they also love icecream) so I'm basically obsessed with getting my icecream fix. I ALWAYS have room for icecream. Depending on what we order, for the two of us, we can usually stay between $5-$7 for two orders. At other places we've spent up to $5 a scoop so Baskin's is definitely easy and light on the wallet. There are a lot of flavors to choose from. Standard- vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, mint chip, etc. But they also have a bunch of others with all kinds of candy swirled into them. I personally like the oreo ones or the strawberry cheesecake. My bf usually gets a sundae with hot fudge. Even then it's not that expensive! Baskin won't satisfy your craving if you're looking for some fancy shmancy icecream served in a glass cup with a golden spoon. However, if you're just looking to satisfy that post-dinner-icecream-craving (on a budget), this will do the trick just fine. However, this Baskin-Robbins is located in a very busy shopping plaza across the street from the mall. Getting into the parking lot is a mess. Parking is a nightmare. And getting back onto Kam Highway in the right direction- don't even go there. Once inside this Baskin-Robbins, a loud whirring noise (screeching belt on a refrigerator?) and generally unclean atmosphere made this my first and last trip to this Baskin-Robbins. read more

The workers here are very friendly and of course young. The only thing to gripe about was my experience today (4/29). Tonight was $.31 cent scoop night. Of course I was here early in line, third to be exact. I asked the worker how many scoops can we get and he said 3 maximum per person. Ok, that's reasonable. But when the man ahead of me in line ordered 3 cups with 3 scoops each, totaling 9 scoops, I was confused. I asked him and he thought it was only 3 too but the girl said he could get 2 more after i ordered his 1 cup with 3 scoops. Ok. When I ordered, I asked for 3 cups and she said 1 in each then? I asked her so how many scoops can we get. Again she told me 3. I said what about the gentleman before me. He Haf 9. She said she got confused and was sorry. I love ice cream and enjoy Baskin Robbins on occasion. The location I would say is ok. Like most of the Baskin Robbins, the location here specifically at the Pearl Kai Shopping Center is I think ok. The last time I came over here I was craving green tea flavor but they did not have it so that was a small kine buzz kill. So the next best flavor for me was mint chocolate chip. I think the prices for the ice cream at Baskin Robbins overall is a bit price for either the cone or cup but it is what it is. The staff and customer service is ok. They have a decent amount of table and chairs but could get busy during weekday nights or even weekend nights. The location is right next to many of the surrounding restaurants around the area like the vietnamese restuarant, ramen place, and Blazin Steaks around there. read more

for many years, it has been a family tradition to get an ice cream cake from BR for anyone's birthday. now that we're all grown up and i'm the only kid left on the aina with my parents (my 3 siblings all live somewhere else :/), i still make it a tradition to buy my parents' an ice cream cake for their birthdays. the price for a small cake that serves about 5-7 people costs about $22. it's a bit pricey, but the quality of the cake has been consistently delicious for the many years my family and i have been coming to any of the BRs. the last visit i made to this location (located in Pearl Kai), their customer service was amazing. as i was browsing through their freezer for the perfect cake for my mom, the worker came up to me and helped me decide...on the size, flavor of the ice cream and the cake, and decoration on the cake. i didn't catch her name but she was very friendly and i loved how she wrote "happy birthday mom" on the cake. i don't really care for Pearl Kai shopping center because the parking lot can get crazy, especially during dinner time. but i came on a sunday towards 5pm time, and there was a lot of parking. thanks BR for allowing our family tradition to continue for many more years to come :) #17 out of 100 Yelp Reviews in 2015 read more

I ordered a root beer float. It cost over $10. All the girl did is put a few scoops of ice cream in the cup and then poured root beer on top, which she spilled. That's it. And it cost OVER $10. Yes m convinced she was supposed to use the machine to soften the ice cream or something to account for this price point? Idk but I walked out looking like wtf just happened here to my wallet? I could have got a pint and the bottle of soda for the same $$ and made like 5 of these haha read more

I normally come here frequently and have had no problem. there's a worker with braids and gauges and when we first walked in we weren't greeted because he was on his phone. still wasn't helped for about 5 minutes. when he did come up to ya he didn't say anything, just looked at me. so I ordered. I asked for a shake and he walked away and started throwing things around as if he was upset that I ordered that. then when he came back, my friend ordered a different shake and this time he got even more upset. he shook his head as he walked away. when we got our drinks, they weren't even filled and I paid almost 20 buck for shakes that weren't filled all the way up. literally the only words he said to me was the price. I understand he might be having a bad day but if you're working in customer service, don't make a person feel like crap. read more

I stopped by here because I got suckered by the Baskin-Robbins' commercial featuring a cute snowman ice cream cake. Hana, who was working at the time, was very helpful and patient as she took my order for a customized snowman cake. Did you know you can choose any flavor ice cream to put in your cake? Hell yeah! Jamocha all the way. I only took off 1 star because they did not use the colors I requested when decorating my snowman (of which I was given 2 choices), plus they wrote "Happy Birthday" on it instead of "Merry Christmas."
