I'm leaving this review for the employees at this particular location. Baskin robins is what it is when it comes to their ice cream. We had some family in from out of town and were celebrating some birthdays so we wanted to pick up a polar pie and some of that gold medal ribbon. We were those people, cutting it to the last minute and rolling in right before closing. One of the workers was literally mopping the floor and looked at the clock to see if we were really going to try to come in just before closing. Literally minutes. We told them, "Don't worry, we aren't going to ask you to scoop anything and we know what we want!" They we're so nice, polite, friendly and accommodating especially in a scenario where we all know we would have been less than polite and accommodating if it were us on the other end! All I wanted was strawberry ice cream inside a waffle cone. The big waffle cone that I payed for was old and hard. The ice cream melted quicker than what it was supposed to have melted. The cone started dripping from the bottom 3/4ths of the way before I was finished. I had to rush inlet stuff it in my mouth. Did not enjoy it. I ordered a Oreo Ice Cream cake from this Baskin Robbins and picked it up yesterday for my Husband's Birthday. The cake is made with a chocolate cake layer on the bottom and Oreo cookies and cream ice cream on top. The cake potion was extremely dry and not good. I feel like it was a waste. Please learn how to make a MALT! This place has by far made the worst malt ever. Baskin Robbins in general has always made the best MALTS but i have to admit their quality has been going down slowly. My main issue is that I am paying for a MALT NOT SWEET MILK! I wonder if the rowlett location is the same owner bcuz their malts are almost as bad. have you EVER got a malt that has foaming milk bubbles on the top? Have you ever had a jamocha malt that was so liquid that it looked like milk with a touch of dirt for color? Well for almost 6 bucks you can get a large jamocha malt served by a girl that definitely doesn't care. Whats even better is you can walk around with wet hands because there are no towels in the bathrooms - and even better there are no napkins anywhere to be found in the front. I walked into the store a couple of weeks ago (don't remember the day) and three young adults were working (two ladies and a guy). They were an absolute delight. They had great humor, great customer service, and were especially interactive with my two kids. We have come in on numerous occasions since then, and no matter who is on duty, the staff never lets us down. We will definitely be back frequently this summer. read more
