It was November 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM when we walked into the store to get some ice cream for my two boys and myself. The lady working in the store, who was the only employee, was helping a customer in front of us. I felt that she was not very clear in her explanations and had to repeat herself several times to get a response from the customer. When it was our turn, the same thing happened; my 12-year-old son did not understand what she was asking. She seemed impatient with him, so I stepped in to help him with his order. My son commented that she was not friendly at all, especially compared to other ice cream places we usually visit, which are much more welcoming. We sat down to enjoy our ice cream, but I noticed that my son's ice cream (he had two scoops on a cone) was melting quickly. I went to get him a cup. The lady gave me a small cup and said I would have to pay for it. I explained that the cup was too small for my son's melting ice cream and asked if she could provide a larger one instead. She snapped at me, accusing me of being rude to her. I replied that I was willing to pay for the bigger cup and pointed out that she was the one who had been rude to my son in the first place, although I hadn't mentioned it before. She insisted it was because she couldn't hear him well. Perhaps she should have removed her earbuds while serving customers. I ended up paying $0.50 for the bigger cup and then left. I don't go to Baskin Robbins often, but my family went because we got $5 gift cards from T Mobile. This location was very clean and had lots of parking. The two young, male workers were very efficient and friendly. I had the Banana Royale - sliced bananas, strawberry ice cream, pralines and cream ice cream, strawberry sauce, pineapple sauce, hot fudge, nuts, whipped cream, and cherries. The portion was more than enough! My family just got regular scoops, but the sizes were generous as well. Overall, great experience. If I were to go to BR again, I'd go to this location. The service is so much better than the BRs that are connected to Togo's. The workers are wearing masks and there is no indoor dining. Also they aren't currently offering samples due to COVID. Just stepped into this new Baskin Robbins last night! Just like any other Baskin Robbins but very much new way MORE upgraded than the traditional locations. Interior is very nice, lots of colors and nice art work on the wall! They have a huge ice cream cake freezer which has so many cakes to choose from! Customer service was very nice to, I was greeted right when I walked in! Lots of ice cream selection and some new flavors which I have never seen at the other locations. I ALWAYS stick with getting the Cappuccino Blast with Oreo, can never go wrong with that! And if I do get ice cream, always get Gold Medal Ribbon or Rocky Road! They said they have been open for a few weeks now. This is a bonus for me, because it's located in Crocker Village where I love to shop for my weekly groceries at Safeway and my Pup's Vet n also get my Happy Lemon fix! Close enough to the Grid. I had no idea a BR popped up, so close to midtown. Thanks to Yelp, I noticed this new location in the Crocker shopping plaza. To be fair, if I was driving through the parking lot, I'd miss this spot. It's nestled behind a larger store front and in a corner, but I'm oh so glad to see it here. The Grid lacks a variety of ice cream offerings, and this location is a short, almost less than a mile drive away. Loved seeing the chain's take on a newly updated style of store. They have the usual bar of ice cream, but to the left along the wall is an entire wall of customer-friendly seating -- tables, chairs, and booth chairs (across the whole wall). They have all the basics, ice cream, to go pints, cakes, and a rather large beverage cooler. The staff was young, but two working so they weren't understaffed. I did notice that their Yelp says they were open until 10 PM that evening, but when we walked in they had packed up all the seating and looked to be cleaning. We walked in right before 9 PM and they kindly helped us. As we sat in our car to eat, we did notice a couple try to go in but the staff had locked the door and closed early. I'm not sure if Yelp has hours incorrectly, but I did feel bad for the couple who couldn't get their treat. It's definitely super clean and I really appreciate that. I hope it stays that way... I was trying to ask a question, but she couldn't hear me but refused to move closer to me. She just kept asking me to repeat my question, and this is AFTER she just walked away from me and went to the opposite end of the store. I repeated myself five or six times then I finally walked out. I've had it with this store and this woman's nasty attitude. Im turned off from All baskin Robbins. Their prices are too high and their scoops are baby scoops anyway. Last week I went to get ice cream after my appointment, there were two young men working in BR, the one helping me really didn't know his ice cream flavors.He was scooping a flavor that I didn't request and I had to tell him a couple of times which one it was. Service is poor. We walked in at 10 minutes before closing time and we were not greeted. We bought four ice creams and one in a waffle cone which felt apart. When we asked to get another cone showing that it was breaking, we were looked as if we were nuts to ask and given some explanation of how the cones are made. I demanded a new cone and the workers looked at each other and agreed to honor the request as they gave each other looks as we walked out. My husband says that in the past, the customer was always right and that nowadays the customer is always wrong. I have written a review for this store in the past, but it seems it was recently taken down. The reason? I'm not sure other than to keep their ratings up. I will rewrite my rating below: I recently went back to this location after a pleasant experience with workers Lenny and Neel. However, after going back to this location with my entire family (my parents, my brothers, my nieces, and my cousins), I felt disgusted by one of the workers (white male) that was wearing a cast. I felt as though this was extremely unsanitary and felt as if it must have violated some kind of health codes. I felt so disgusted that I barely wanted to finish my ice cream. As a re-occurring customer of this location, I felt disgusted and disappointed that this is where it has come to. I don't particularly go to ice cream stores because past experiences at Cold Stone with impatient services. But when I went to this specific Baskin-Robins I had a completely different experience. The employees that I had serve me were both very inviting and acted human; rather as a robotic service machine. Lenny and Neel had not only great service towards me and my family (I have a family of six come in and they did the best they can to entertain and humor us with their services) but they genuinely showed that they cared about their jobs. When I went in another time I was severely disappointed to not see Neel or Lenny but rather I was served by Brandon and Monica. whom of which had a significantly different work ethic. Before I go into my review, let me state that my husband and I have gone to this location before and the customer service was great. BUT TONIGHT, on this visit... it was absolutely horrible. Let me start by stating the hours on the website state that they close at 10pm...here on yelp it states they close at 10pm, so when we were headed there, we knew we were cutting it close, but knew we would be there well before 10pm. So we pulled into the parking lot and it was 9:40 but as we parked my husband was like I think they are closed... and I was like no... the site says they close at 10. So there are also like 4 other people in the parking lot who were walking from the store and we could overheard them saying how they were supposed to close at 10. So I walk up to the door and try to open it and it is locked (again its 9:44pm at this time). There is a lady in there mopping, a young man wiping the counter down and then a young lady who saw me walking towards the door and she walks away towards the back of the store. So I knock on the window and ask hey I thought you closed at 10, so she comes to the door and opens it and says, no we have to be out of here by 10... and I was like but the website states you close at 10 pm and we just wanted some ice cream. Then the lady that was mopping states that their manager told them they have to close by 10 AND that they are out of ice cream!! (I began to laugh, because I was like gtfoh!!!) so my response was for real... you're out of ice cream... then she says, well we are out of all of the popular ice cream. So I was like ok thats fine... I don't want the popular ice cream, I want whatever you have left. So at this point I'm extremely irritated, because we have been talking for about 2-3 minutes and I stated see, all this talking and you could have given us our scoops. So then I state that I was going to call the manager and the girl at the door speaks to the other lady and she says ok, you can come in. So by this time it is 9:49p, we get our ice cream (and to our surprise all of the super popular ice cream is there... I got a single scoop of cherries jubilee and my husband got butter pecan!!). So after we pay I ask the young girl what the managers name and phone number is, she walks to the back to go talk to the other lady and she comes back with a very smart and condescending tone that she cant give out the managers number due to safety reasons, but I can call the store. So I ask her for the store phone number and she says, oh well you can get it off of the website. So I chuckle, and ask her what her name is and she tells me its Erica, I ask her the managers name and she says Rona, and the other ladies name is Sandra. Before I left, I told her to have a good night but please believe I am telling your manager that your attitude I funky and God bless you! This was totally unacceptable and if you store hours state you close at 10, then you should close at 10... not 9:45!! I am extremely disappointed how myself and my husband as well as other customers who just walked away and didn't even go in and all they wanted to do was get some good ice cream on a Friday night! I came here at 9:50 p.m. May 8, 2021 and i saw one of the employees mopping and when I tried to open the door it was locked. He proceeded to look at me and nod his head as they were closed but it wasn't even 10pm when they should have closed.
