Häagen-Dazs is my absolute favorite ice cream and I was craving some the other day so I stopped in here. In my opinion, you can't really go wrong with any of their flavors, so I always try to choose something I've never tried before. On my last visit I ordered two scoops of their caramel cone flavor in a cup. Normally I get my ice cream on a cone, but because of the flavor I chose, I thought that might be a little redundant. It was rich, creamy and delicious. Unique and packed with flavor as always. It had just the right amount of caramel flavor accompanied by the crunch of the little chocolate covered cone pieces mixed throughout. It was everything that I was hoping for. The shop at this location is clean and service is friendly. It's a great place to grab a treat while walking around the DOCO area. It can be a little tough in this economy to pay the price of a pint or even gallon in the store just to get two scoops at a shop, but the quality here keeps me coming back. This is definitely a premium priced indulgence but it's totally worth every penny! read more

I keep telling myself that I want to try it one of these days and so I finally did! I ended up ordering it as a milkshake rather than a sundae. They had no AC running in the store and it was too hot to enjoy ice cream inside. Believe it or not, it was cooler in the shade outside! Plus the employees are hustling in the hot store with the sun shining directly on them and the ice cream. There are no blinds or covers on the windows. Who knew Häagen-Dazs had a store front shop to visit? I've patronized this ice cream shop a few times since it opened years ago. It is located right across from the Golden 1 Center next to Chipotle. It was a warm evening, and my friend and I were leaving the movie theater. We took the escalator down to the first floor and walked over. Seeing enlarged photos of this tasty treat all over the walls, I knew what I had to order; a Dazzler Sundae which is layered ice cream and toppings in a cup. I chose the Banana Split Dazzler and my friend chose the NY Strawberry Cheesecake Dazzler. Two employees, one was the owner and the other a young lady. My friends dazzler looked and tasted great! Mine was lacking slightly but it was still tasty. I think next time I'll just stick to a double scoop of Butter Pecan or Cookies & Cream. Total was $23 for two Dazzler Sundae's. This ice cream shop is clean, convenient, with friendly service and a perfect place to get a cool treat to share with your loved ones this summer. read more

Häagan-Dazs can easily be found in grocery stores; however, this is the only brick and mortar in the greater Sacramento area with the next closest over 50 miles away. Service is consistently good, and they provide samples upon request. White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle is one of their most popular flavors, and I can see why! I ordered a White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Milkshake and my partner ordered the Banana Split. You can order up to three ice cream flavors for the split, and it's generously loaded with toppings. He loved it! The milkshake was thick, which I personally like, but the straws are so flimsy that it's impossible to enjoy. I love Haagen Dazs so I was over the moon to find out we had a location in downtown Sacramento. I stopped by and was immediately greeted by the associate at the counter. He gave me a sample of the dulce de leche ice cream. It was really good so I decided to get it in a sundae. Talk about heaven in a cup. I got a large which was about $10 plus tax. We stopped in here this last weekend on Saturday afternoon after lunch nearby. We love their ice cream, especially the coffee flavored. It's so delicious! Considering that my inner sweet tooth comes out every once in awhile, I would have to say that Häagen-Dazs is the cream of the crop when it comes to delicious flavored ice cream. As far back as I can remember, my eyes popped out of my head every time my parents brought home a pint of their signature ice cream to enjoy for dessert. This takes me on a journey to downtown Sacramento at DOCO (Downtown Commons) where my lady and I had the opportunity to indulge in a late night dessert. As far as the location, this place is not hard to miss as it is located on the bottom floor of the beautiful outdoor plaza. They do, however have limited hours only being open from 10am to 9pm Mon-Sat and 11am-8pm. However, if there is a major event going on at nearby Golden 1 Center such as a Sacramento Kings game and/or concert, they do extend their hours of operation. I would definitely call first to make sure. My lady and I arrived around 9:50pm on the evening of Saturday 2/1/2020. Much to our surprise, they were open for business as the Kings played a home game that same night. Keep in mind, this place is very small with no available seating on the inside. There are only a couple of outdoor tables and chairs so it's best to take your delectable desserts and walk to a place where there are nearby seating areas. Since we only wanted a small cup of their signature ice cream, we decided on splitting one scoop of their strawberry. This place ain't cheap by no means, $5.00 for one scoop where you can buy a pint at the store for half the price and get 10 times more. But it's all about the experience of visiting a brick-and-mortar Häagen-Dazs. In addition to their signature ice creams (available in cup or cone), they have a nice selection of smoothies, shakes, and other treats. Overall, this Häagen-Dazs location is a decent ice cream shoppe. Excellent service, great ambiance, and amazing tasting ice creams. My rating, an above average 4-stars. read more

Häagen-Dazs ice-cream is one of the best you can have. Even the grocery store variety is top notch. The ice-cream at this location is smooth and packed with delicious flavors. If you want ice-cream, there really isn't much better than Häagen-Dazs - it truly is a delicious treat. The bourbon vanilla ice-cream was bourbon-tastic. The bourbon taste filled every spoonful. Some might think it is too much (and I can see why), but if you are looking for strong flavor, it is here. The peanut butter banana chip is the same. You get very strong, but tasteful peanut butter and banana flavors. It was divine! Though I love ice-cream, I can never eat too much of it. Their small size is just about all the ice-cream I would want... however... it is PRICEY! It was about seven dollars for two smallish scoops of each ice-cream flavor. So this place isn't what you're looking for if you are on a budget. I'd also mention that the service I had was just middling. For a premium shoppe in a great location, I'd expect top tier service with a smile. It turned out to be less enthusiastic than your run of the mill ice cream places. Who puts globs of fudge, caramel and strawberry syrup on one scoop of ice cream then repeats on the layer second scoop. On top of over flowing basically melted whip that was falling from the cup as she finished it. Ended up throwing it away as it was hard to even taste the ice cream. Son did not like his ice cream and we never i mean NEVER expect anything for free! Being son literally had one bite and wanted to switch out to vanilla i had honey ask to change it. The gal that made the ice cream looked annoyed. While the gal that we asked to exchanged was confused. Luckily there was a gentleman that understood and said go ahead and switch it as there was barely any eaten and they just had to make sure we tossed the old one. We had no problem doing that. As we had already wasted money on the tossed sundae i appreciated the guy for allowing a replacement for the kiddie scoop. Another issue is paying with card the system automatically prompt for a tip. And it assumed the amount. I didn't want to tip the gal for her lackluster service but i did anyway. I wish i didn't! They get 2 stars just for their ice cream and the guy that allowed a replacement scoop. I doubt we will be back here. Nice location if you're wanting a nice sweet treat, pre/post Golden One Center events. Today we were at the Golden One Center after a graduation ceremony and decided to stop in for ice cream because of the heat. They had a yummy looking menu filled with many ice cream options but we decided to settle on a couple of scoops of ice cream. The downside was the credit card machine and bathroom was out of service. ( Luckily I had $20 bill on hand to still but our ice cream.) The customer service was good and he (possibly the owner or manager) even gave us complimentary bottles of water as we sat outside with our treats. Just steps from Golden 1 in the heart of the DOCO plaza sits Haagen-Dazs - a perfect excuse to satisfy your sweet tooth, especially during hot summer months! While I prefer to support something more local like Devil May Care a block away, this is a great choice for an ice cream on the go that you can then enjoy while sitting in the plaza. I have been suffering from sort of an ice cream addiction lately and had to stop in to see what they offer. I have been by here so many times and never pulled the trigger in terms of stepping through the door. It's a pleasant, spacious shop with many flavors to choose from and the well-known brand favorites. I went with the irresistible Belgian chocolate and it was everything I wanted. That rich chocolaty flavor and the creaminess...divine is the best word to describe it. I'm going to return soon for that bourbon-vanilla. The prices aren't the cheapest but it is considered "fancy" ice cream. Take that into account, along with just general higher prices in DOCO, and you will know what you're getting! read more

Icecream, sorbet, yogurt the Haagen daz way. Brand new store located in the DOCO area. Have had the chance to make it a few times and try some. They have some variety and seasonal flavors. I was able to try the peppermint bark and loved it. Im a huge fan of mint and with the nuts and chocolate in it was perfect. My kids tried something out of the norm for them my son went with the vanilla yogurt and my daughter went with some raspberry sorbet and they both finished it and wanted more. I was a bit surpised and happy at the same time. My wife had tried one of the shakes the belguim chocolate. I was not a fan myself It had chocolate with some mocha or chocolate syrup and it was a bit to much for me. My wife kinda liked it, more than me. They also have cones, cups and a lot of toppings too, the kids will love that part. They have a few seets inside a table and a few booths. But there is plenty of seating outside. Pricing seemed decent, it is downtown and haagen daz icecream after all. When we are down in the Doco area it is worth a stop in, but i wouldn't drive myself here for just this with the parking and all.
