Was out and about today, drove up and 1 couple was in front of me. A lot of the flavors have changed since my last visit. I saw 2 banana options. I have a friend who likes banana ice cream. Got her a pint. My go to flavor buckeye was still on the menu. I sat on the benches and quickly ate my waffle cone. It was melting faster than my licks. Wanted to get home before the banana ice cream melted. As always, McCandless Crossing parking is limited. Highly recommend you have ice cream today.

Ordering a simple item turned into an unnecessarily complicated experience with question after question. To make matters worse, I didn't even receive what I ordered. I ordered an ice cream cone, but instead of handing it to me, they made it and let it sit in a cup while we waited at the window. We sat there for about five minutes until another customer pulled up behind us, and only then did they hand us our order. By that point, the ice cream was already half melted. Graeter's isn't cheap, and I'm happy to pay premium prices for premium ice cream. But if I'm paying those prices, I expect to receive ice cream that's actually frozen--not half melted before it's even handed to me. While we were waiting, I could clearly hear the employees talking about me with the drive-thru window still cracked open. That was disappointing and unprofessional. The staff appeared to be very young, so this isn't meant as a personal criticism of them. However, the customer service at this location needs significant improvement. A simple order shouldn't be this difficult, and customers should be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor impression.

I came in prepared to purchase several pints of ice cream for my husband, my boys, and myself. However, I was unable to open the freezer door where the coffee and root beer flavors were located. Three employees were standing nearby, and when I struggled with the door, one simply said, "Yeah, it does that for a few seconds." I waited, tried again, and still couldn't get it open. Despite clearly having difficulty, none of the staff offered to help. Frustrated, I went to the checkout with fewer items than I had intended to purchase. When the cashier asked if that was all, I explained that I couldn't get the other door open. Her response was simply, "Okay, your total is..." without any attempt to assist or address the situation. The ice cream is great, but customer service matters too. A simple offer to help could have turned this into a positive experience. Unfortunately, because of how this situation was handled, I don't think I'll be returning to the Murrysville location.

Tasty Creme is a small ice cream shop located on Library Road in South Park, very close to the county line. There is a private parking lot, and outdoor seating. On this visit, we went on a Thursday night in June around 8:30 PM. There were a few other people there, but we did not wait long at all. We did not feel rushed, and were allowed to take our time to look around and order. I am always impressed with the selection that Tasty Creme has in terms of novelty and to-go items. There is a chest freezer that is always stocked with various goodies, sandwiches, pies, and other things. They even have dog treats made in there! It was not super crowded on this day, so we had some time to chat with the girls working. They were all so nice, offered some product suggestions, and overall very friendly. One of the girls was training, and we had the honor of being served her very first cone - which was great. We ordered a few things. I personally got a Small S'mores Flurry with Crunchies added - it was great! Ordered this after a suggestion from the girls who waited on us and glad that I did. Additionally, we ordered a premade dog treat, a Small Chocolate-Dipped Vanilla Cake Cone, and an Oreo Extreme Parfait. Everyone, including our dog, enjoyed their sweet treats. In terms of value, I have always thought this place was a little pricy. But, it really depends on what exactly you order. Also, I discovered on this visit that there is a slight discount offered when paying in cash. For all of our items, I believe it was around $17 with the cash discount applied. They do accept cards though! I would recommend this shop, especially with it being a local small business. The line is usually not long, and you can customize your order however you like. A classic soft-serve ice cream stand, which you really cannot go wrong with.
